  1. Whomever is still leaking this information needs to be found and silenced. Again, we are walking into trade week with rumours and innuendo swirling about our club. Some are true and others are not but the optics of it are not helpful in us recruiting players as potential swaps for Trac etc. We don’t help ourselves in this space and allow the media free rein to stick as many pins in us as they want. FWIW, my understanding is that the meeting between King and Oliver is a scheduled meeting like other players. The outcome is not predetermined.
  2. Shocking human being. Hates Melbourne with a passion.
  3. Even unofficial coterie type groups not knowing their place. If you spoke to the current bunch in the Coterie you’d realise the level of info they get is pretty high level. They won’t be the source. It’s well known that we have a bunch of King Makers who lurk around the club. Want a rumour just ask them. Media know them.
  4. The answer is StKilda, Essendon and Carlton….. “Name three AFL clubs with rubbish recruiting!” 🤔
  5. Love him. I remember when we drafted him. I was amazed how we found a player with so much untapped upside. Apparently works his backside off and deserves the plaudits. Still my pick for future captain.
  6. Yeah but on a personal level, that’s not his ideal position. He wants to play midfield.
  7. Posturing. It’s like negotiating with your kids! Stick your flag in the ground as far away from the resolution point as possible to start. See who blinks first. He’s gone.
  8. Funny how the overly parochial Adelaide media is feeding the whole narrative that Rachele is untouchable. It would be like having the Melbourne media full of Garry Lyon clones telling Adelaide to pay up!! It’s nonsense. We’ve done a bit of background work on Rachele and ultimately, 9 times out of 10, if the player in question is happy to move and agrees to a contract with us, the other club will let him go. It will be up to our list management team and leadership group to convince a player like Rachele to request a trade. If Trac at 75% (which he was during 2025) was playing in the Adelaide midfield in September at the expense of Rachele; I’d expect the Crows to have been much more competitive. Funnily enough, his fit with Gold Coast looks less than ideal which is why I think he favours a move to Adelaide. The Suns are stacked for mids but need to find more avenues to goal. A bit of a wait and see regarding other clubs interest. Hawks lurking and Trac wouldn’t hate moving to Sydney.
  9. Shrewd trade and pick by us. Looks very good. Like his balance and skills. Got heaps of development in him too which is pleasing. 2 more players like Lindsay and Langford from the draft this year please!
  10. Such an incredible foundation already in place with this kid. Elite kicking skills, clean hands and elite footy smarts. The type of mid we’ve craved for a while. Should be able to put out spot fires off half back, run through the midfield and provide a target deep when we need to snag a goal. Should ask Luke Hodge to mentor him.
  11. It’s all about balance. Brisbane have some contested beasts but they are all good users of the footy and spread well. They compliment them with some players who started as outside runners but have upped their contested ball stats. Combined with generally high level footy IQ you’ve got an elite midfield ready for finals. The common themes; ball use and footy smarts. Other than those two things, the players lean into what they’re best at. We have a few younger players that could, with the correct game plan and development, fit that profile in Langford, McVee, Windsor, Lindsay, Howes, Rivers & perhaps Kolt. Kozzy is obviously good at everything…. Heard quite a bit of unsubstantiated stuff about King yesterday which has aroused my footballing fire for 26. If half of it is true we should play some pretty interesting footy next season. Now back to sleep.
  12. Kozzy is #2 at our club behind Max. Kozzy should be #1 by next season.
  13. Even the most ardent conspiracy theorists would find this confusing.
  14. Some people need to get real jobs….
  15. JJJ replied to whatwhat say what's topic in Trade & Draft
They’re making some changes at Tulla. A friend has just finished up there. Reckons the broom is coming as there are a bunch of stakeholders (players included) who reckon the place is a $hitsh0w!
  16. They are very different players. That’s the best reason not to compare them. Danger can play a pack marking CHF and his burst from stoppage is incredible even at 35. His approach to a contested ball is maniacal. Trac, when forward, plays a roaming role where his ability to be clean and involve teammates in scoring strings is elite. As mids, they start in similar positions but go about their business in different ways too. Both are stars of the comp. But different.
  17. This is correct and well put. It’s a conscious uncoupling. Everyone in the room is aware of it. The only barrier is the venn diagram where our requirements are met by the destination club. Can we get what we think is reasonable? The current requirement is a player and FRP pick(s). Clubs like Hawthorn are baulking at that as they don’t want to give up on any of their senior players. They just want to trade picks. In the end I think it will get done for picks and we’ll convey one of the picks to another club for a player 23-26 years old who can slot straight into the best 18.
  18. Brownlow Medal wins are only good for marketing opportunities. It hasn’t consistently reflected the best and fairest player of the year for decades. I didn’t even watch it last night.
  19. We were into Josh Rachele 18 months ago. That’s not a rumour. Maybe we’d put him as a starting point for any trade? We also want draft collateral so it the deal would require some special sauce from a 3rd team… this is me making a rumour.
  20. Who knows. Maybe they’ll build the stadium and it will become a tourist attraction like McCaig’s Folly. Dillon’s Folly. Nice ring to it.
  21. Be hard to see them give up on Walter just yet. Unless they get Curnow or someone similar. I think they’d trade King though.
  22. It’s a shame that we won’t get a chance to give him a send off. More likely that he’ll start an in game fight with us next year and become the villain! Will always love him though.
  23. Good post. Just loved watching him play during the period you mentioned. Loved his passion.
  24. So not delisted. Didn’t think we could do that. TM’s story is accurate. We don’t want anything in return really. This story started earlier this week. Ghosty you threw me a curve ball when you said delisted.
  25. I think once Goody was sacked, May was in trouble. Not sure if it’s true but wouldn’t surprise me.
