Yes the AFL are running the MFC in a way similar to the method that the Soviet Union ran Hungary except that they haven't sent in the tanks .They will decide the ceo the coach ,the president ,the board and probably the colour of the clubrooms .And we accept this ? the biggest single reason that we are in the present financial abyss is because we spent all preseason and $1m fighting a tanking claim which could never be sustained (there was no rule governing it) and in the end had to incur a liability of $1/2m and probably payout Chris Connolly .We were singled out for this indescribably unjust treatment when there was more objective evidence of tanking by Richmond and Carlton .What a disaster !.The AFL is the problem not the solution .It is being run for the big four and the satellite clubs .And yet we meekly run to it cap in hand asking if they if they will forgive us our sins and share their wisdom .I am about over it .

I don't know if Don told the AFL that he was resigning or the AFL told Don he was resigning .We never had a realistic chance to go forward this year because our preseason was dominated by the indescribably unjust single club tanking enquiry .We were seen as a soft target for the AFL to mollify the press .Don certainly did a lot less to hurt this club than Brock Mclean . tom mac is a young player getting a game purely because he is a young player .He cant mark ,cannot spoil effectively ,his recovery is poor and he is a deplorable kick .Would not even be considered at any other club .His drafting at 53 flatters him .I don't even think he was much last year .Probably good enough for the seniors at Edenhope but that's about it .How could we let the Lions isolate him against Leuenberg? Talk about a disaster waiting to happen ..Words fail me .

The AFL has been part of a problem rather then a solution .We have spent all summer devoting our energies to defending the tanking claim only to be told at the end of it all that the AFL hasn't actually got a rule in regard to tanking and really not sure what the term means .Meanwhile we cop a $500k fine and have a passionate official suspended because his statements were not in the best interests of football and as he is an employee we are liable for his statements .Of Course when Mifsud implied that Neeld was a racist the AFL didn't accept that it was involved as he spoke as an individual not an employee so they did nothing while we dealt with a giant distraction that could not have come at a worst time Then we have the Scully saga .All that angst and effort to try and retain him only to find out that the deal was done ( including dear old dad) 12 months earlier .So much for anti tampering .Imagine if it had carried on like this with a Collingwood or Essendon . Essendon makes Lance Armstrong look like a boy scout and nothing will happen .The AFL step in ?.You must be joking . Were fair game as far as it is concerned .

we should have more concerns over the AFL then they over us .Perhaps if they apologized over Mifsud ,waived the $500000 fine and gave us a draft pick at the end of 2012 we wouldn't be so concerned .In reality the afl would like us and one other to fold and revert back to a 16 team comp that includes their 2 AFL teams .

Green Machine you will stick with the Dees because it is not possible to change .You can tell your brain as often as you like that you are giving them up but every year you your brain will have you supporting them and as a result fighting with your family and about 99%of the general population and generally living a miserable winter existence . Believe me I know .

I am well aware of the areas where the team is deficient and it is silly to distance Neeld from these deficiencies However.Is there any area where the team has improved as a unit ?.I note that a couple of individuals in Nathan Jones and T mac( although he drops easy marks at the worst possible times )have improved but is there any quantifiable improvement as a team in any area at all ?.I have heard all the hype and spin from Mark but it appears that when it is all said and done a lot more is getting said than done .

Without wishing to sound too biblical with Mark it is a case of "blessed are those that have not seen but yet believed ".I may be ( to carry on the theme ) a doubting Thomas but I have seen nothing to suggest that we are on the right track with him .What concerns me is that haunted look on his face every time there is a camera close up .It is hardly reassuring .I doubt that the players are committed to him or even on his wave length .From the time the leadership was turned upside down until now the season has been a complete disaster .How anyone would have the unmitigated temerity to suggest that it will turn around is beyomd me .Can anyone point to one measurable ,quantifible area where we have improved ?

the last thing I wish to is create further division odr disharmony on the site .We have relatively so few menbers that those who have remain should be commended and stick together .However, ,can anyone provide me with some tangible or measurable evidence that we have made any progress in any area with Neeld and his assistants .We have had B and K winners in Green ,Davey and Moloney playing in the ressies and duds like Magner ,Couch and Spencer playing seniors .We have had first round draft choices like Morton and Watts playing in the ressies and last round picks like Bail and Mckenzie playing for Firsts .Its like an episode of Seinfeld .I expected that the back half of the season would see a marked improvement but that has not happened .We were terrible in the first NAB cup loss to the Suns and we were terrible against Port in Darwin and pretty much in all points in between .How can you not point the finger at the coaching staff ?The defence panics ,the forward line is motionless and the midfield has no regard for their opponents .Neeld aside ,how can Rawlings ,The Anvil and Royal say that they have achieved anyting ?.Perhaos rather than talkink in terms of the club reviewing Neelds position ,he should review it himself .
