  1. Pity Prestia re-signed a few months back, otherwise I'm right there with you, rpfc. Absolute gun. The next Brad Sewell, but more explosive.
  2. Yes, it was probably an aberration. I concede on that one. Any thoughts on who we should target if we were to trade one of the picks? Personally, I'd take Adams if we received a first round pick in return.
  3. I think we all understand that a lot of our issues lie in the dearth of midfield talent. We need to strengthen this area, no doubt. Having said this, I'm bewildered that some of you would take a mid and pass up on a more talented KPF, merely because we need mids. You take best available. We need to fix our midfield, but you find other ways. You take the best kid with the pick you have.
  4. I dunno, mate. I doubt it'd happen, but I reckon Boyd for Fyfe would make them think.
  5. Oh and Adams has had a gun season. Naturally him, but I'd want a pick back as well if we were giving up Pick #2 for Adams.
  6. "I'll leave that to Roos and his team to identify though." I wouldn't have picked Kennedy or McGlynn, but Roos had the foresight. I'll back him.
  7. Yeah, I think I'd want a high pick and a player of Shuey or Selwood's calibre. I wouldn't give up pick #2 for just one of them I don't think.
  8. Depending on the player's team, a fringe player could mean a B grader. I would say a B grader is "solid". If we could add two B graders, with potentially a little bit of development left in them, I'd just about take that for pick #2.
  9. Good point, Robbie. That said, I think Roos will have them grounded, given he continually mentions "hard work" and alludes to an uphill battle.
  10. See, obviously I'd go both those deals. It'd more likely be pick 3 for Adams, so that GWS could trade that pick for an experienced player. I'd take Shuey or Selwood for 10, otherwise I'd try and package a deal with pick 10 for Gaff. This would still leave us the option of drafting Boyd at PP1. I'd then look at offering Sewell a heavily front-loaded three year contract.
  11. I think it's more about who those players are. If they're fringe players (as Kennedy and McGlynn were at the Hawks), then it's entirely possible we could receive a similar return. Two fringe players for a top pick. Very doable. I'll leave that to Roos and his team to identify though.
  12. This makes me sick. He [censored] off to Brisbane. No. He wouldn't die for the jumper. And no. I don't want him back. B grader at best.
  13. Have you had your exit interview, Saty?
  14. I'd be happy with just Crouch in return. Absolute gun. Still think we should draft Boyd instead though.
  15. Pity. Thought Garland's year was streets ahead of Jones'. That injury near the end of the season cost him. Ah well. Congrats Nath.
  16. I hope PJ doesn't bend just so that a few worried supporters can be put at ease. He's on top of it.
  17. They have midfielders of the calibre of Selwood involving them in the play. They do nothing up forward, just as Spencer doesn't IMO.
  18. Why is that likely, Mac? That doesn't help us at all.
  19. It was clearly an open letter to supporters at the time too. It simply added credence to Roos not be able to rule out coaching in the media, using phrases such as "at the moment".
  20. Was this the interview where he joked that he was 50/50 on taking a Melbourne assistant job?
  21. The PP gives clubs a chance to select the very best young talent. That is a competitive advantage over any other team in the comp. Every team is trying to gain any advantage they can and some of you don't want that advantage? You can't be serious. There's no need to be frightened of a PP. We haven't had to tank to receive this one. We're simply rubbish. We're finally getting the staff together that can fully utilise this advantage and ensure we draft and develop this talent properly. I think we should and will get a PP. I will welcome it, because I want my club to have any advantage it can get. If you'd prefer to hamstring your team, so be it.
  22. Well, he still averaged 18 touches this season. We should expect more, but I think it will come with some top guidance and a full pre season. Confidence is also a key factor.
