Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
Flabbergasted. But anyway.

Neoliberalism: The Economy, Banking & Asset Markets
I no longer agree with this. JG or disability payments and that's it.

2024 Phantom Drafts
Or the game shifts to hybrid mid sized players forward of centre. Who knows.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
Split it, Hotton and Hynes with 15 and 16, thanks very much. ;) Our midfield then becomes: Clarry, Viney, Rivers, Windsor, pick 5 (Smith or Langford hopefully), Hotton and Sparrow. With bursts from Trac, Kozzy and Hynes. This sets us up for 10 years and when Viney, Clarry and Trac retire/move on, we still have a strong base of 7 mids to choose from.

2024 Phantom Drafts
I'd still prefer Jagga Smith, but if he's gone, I'm going Langford.

2024 Phantom Drafts
Langford's first round performance came up on my YouTube algorithm today. He kicked 3 goals and gathered 21 disposals, but took 5 or 6 marks deep inside 50. The guy will be a weapon in time.

Training Ground?
The feds issue the currency, it's unlimited. The constraints are self imposed by nuffy neoliberals. They need to get people working and projects happening. The developers will make money too, and they basically run the joint. Commonwealth should stop issuing debt tomorrow and the alarmism around government debt would be no longer. The banks and shadow banks love corporate welfare though - non bearing reserves for interest bearing bonds are always preferable for them. I do think there is a good angle to raise federal financing, state and local too. It's just that we haven't found the right angle. Given how the MCC views us, I'd expect our financing strategy to be pretty ordinary.

Time to go Goody?
Exactly. Take Neale out of Brisbane and they don't win the flag.

2024 TELSTRA AFL DRAFT COMBINE
Jack Whitlock's vertical jump... on top of his 200cm. 👌

Pending Announcement
Surely Nathan Jones won't be a midfield coach. He'll be a development coach or cultural ambassador or some such thing.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
See, the dream for me is probably Smith at 5 and then Hotton at 15 and Hynes at 16. Bang.

2024 Phantom Drafts
Completely agree. The kid is a gun. The x factor is whether JT rates him top 6.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I'm not sure where DS is getting a lack of pace from with Jagga Smith, nor where others are seeing FOS as a good ball user. I don't get FOS though, so each to their own I guess.

Haha, sounds like Donald.

2024 Phantom Drafts
That would be pick 4 though given Ashcroft.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
So he had Tom Green at 3? Interesting. Green's a prototype JT pick in my mind. I wonder how he rates Smilie.

2024 Phantom Drafts
If we got Smith and Smilie I'd be dancing on the ceiling. Is that a saying? Anyway, I'd be very happy.
- Draft night - How it may work out?

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
He's my number 1. I hope he's still there. The knocks on his lack of damage from accumulation are overblown IMV.

Smilie, Oliver and Viney is pretty powerful.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
I think we'd love 3 highly fancied mids with slightly different strengths (leg speed, explosion from stoppage and an ability to hit the scoreboard) to add to McVee, Rivers and Kolt, who are all very modern day players. The stronger we make our midfield, the better we will be as a team.
