  1. I see where you're coming from, mate, but to me we need a top line intercept marker. That's Lever. May is a more traditional full back. May's disposal is a plus though. Would certainly take either, don't get me wrong, but Lever suits our game style slightly more I reckon.
  2. Some of your best work, DA. Today's been a real day of comedy. First Richmond and now this.
  3. Bahahaha so very Richmond. If you want to look at a team that has no leadership, look no further than Richmond. Riewoldt misses from twenty metres out straight in front to bury the game early in the last. Proceeds to miss another later on in the quarter. Meanwhile, Cotchin goes missing and Martin misses a sitter from twenty out too and later gets smothered at half back when shooting for goal. If I was a Richmond supporter I would be absolutely ropable. I would have been calling for Hardwick's head years ago too. The softest culture in the league.
  4. To me it's irrelevant whether Lever possesses them now and Oscar doesn't. As you imply, most don't play to their strengths until 25+. I actually think Oscar's position on the list long term is safer than Tommy's.
  5. Let me guess. He thought his mob could win it too? No chance.
  6. Hunt's pace is vital off half back to break the lines when we're pushed back there. Maybe only Harmes and Melksham could play that line breaker. That to me is why we'd want Jones, not to lose that run when Hunt is released. But each to their own.
  7. Historically, yes. But we're on a journey to where we want to go as a football club and the history is irrelevant to this group.
  8. One injury to say Hibberd and all of a sudden we can't play Hunt anywhere else but half back. I reckon they're just looking at depth and versatility here. Wagner of course is another guy who can play there, but I wouldn't be surprised if we put an offer in front of Aliir.
  9. Lever doesn't fit your 25 year old defender requirement though, Steve. And yes, of course, this would be a dream. Lever is a very, very good player and would compliment Frost, Hibberd, Jetta and Hunt perfectly.
  10. Geelong are easily bottom 6 without Dangerfield and Selwood, possibly even lower. It'll be good when Hawkins, Selwood and Dangerfield retire in a couple of years. They'll be hopeless. Their kids coming through would have to be the weakest in the league.
  11. What an absolute disgrace. First the Murphy decision was a shocker, then they called play on when it wasn't and the Bulldog gets tackled. I'm so glad Geelong are going nowhere. What a lucky bunch of mugs. It's all gone their way in this quarter. What can the Bulldogs do?
  12. How lucky have Geelong been with the umpires and what an idiot Travis Cloke still is.
  13. Really? A thread on Demonland is going to have a bearing on the result of an AFL match? Lols.
  14. I never thought they were a 4 player team. They've been a two player team for a season and a bit now.
  15. They just need to keep Dangerfield and Selwood out of it in the last quarter and they'll win.
  16. Corey Perry again. Oooh baby!
  17. And this is why I don't rate Geelong. I started watching during the half time break and thought I'd ruined my tip. I reckon I'll be alright. Gee, it's disappointing that we lost to Geelong. Bunch of pretenders.
  18. Come on, Ducks. You robbed yourselves on Wednesday. Make sure you get the win tomorrow. It's been a fascinating Stanley Cup playoff series so far. Loving it.
  19. Hate it. Stop [censored] with the rules. I'm not conservative when it comes to most things, but when my football is involved I am.
  20. We beat them in 2014. In 2015 when Bernie tagged Danger we had our opportunities and lead by 20 odd in the forst half, but ended up losing by 4 goals. I get told off most weeks. I'm very vocal and I love antagonising. It's hilarious. Likewise, people around me love antagonising me. It's all good fun and one of the things I love about attending football games, rather than sitting at home and shouting at the TV.
  21. Look at changing the rules, personally.
  22. I doubt he'll play ruck full time, but given Goldstein's 5 goals last year, I reckon a Tom McDonald match up could be brilliant. Play him in the ruck, go back and defend when Goldstein moves forward and go forward himself when the right time arises (making Goldstein accountable).
  23. I reckon Melksham is listed simply as back up for Hunt if he doesn't get up. I'm surprised about Hannan though. I would have brought in Harmes for Hannan. Bugg did enough last week, so rightly keeps his spot in the 18 this week. Perhaps, they want to play Hannan more in the midfield this week. He only had it 9 times last week, but I like his pace and his ability to snag a goal or two. Harmes had chances last year to cement his spot and now it's Hannan's time. What I'm hoping is that Harmes has improved his kicking and decision making so much that when he finally gets his chance again, he is a real weapon as a utility, either off half back, in the midfield or as a pressure half forward. The exciting thing about Harmes is his ability to consistently win the ball and gut run late in games. So I think it'll be an unchanged line up unless Hunt fails to get up. Real pity about Jesse not being available as he plays well against the Roos. Just glad he sounds like he's recovering well from his op though.
