Can't understand how North players always manage a clear disposal from a tackle. It's infuriating.

If we don't go into half-time with at least 2-3 goal lead it's going to be a very tough slog. We are losing bevause of our effort in non-negotiable areas like tackling and pressure.

We are playing SOOOO below our best. Tackling and player marking is getting worse as the game progresses.

Still confident but our tackling is a major concern. Thankfully we are good at getting numbers around the ball.

It...it took 3 players to tackle one guy and dislodge the ball.

Even when we kick it forward they have 2-3 extra players all alone. We are struggling to mark space today and the game is being played on their terms. We need a strong quarter here.

Nothing to do with it. They are pushing us aside in the middle, breaking tackles and getting clear disposal. That was an extremely disappointing second half to the quarter. Intensity dropped significantly. They are deers in headlights and can't hold tackles.

Tackling pressure is not afl standard today.

Our tackling has got to be among the worst in the league. 2 free kicks from 2 lazy tackling efforts, leading to two goals. Goodwin must be spewing.

Mind you this was ten years ago had a "digital" camera but as a 21 year old at the time I barely took any photos. Do have some good footage of a night out in Shinjuku, though Agreed.

He didn't really do anything. He made a passing comment jokingly which was unprofessional and inappropriate, and granted, it's awkward that he comments on it now. But his comments today are completely reasonable and not at all supportive of tanking. If anything he offers a reasonable alternative to counter it.

I suspect so, too regarding licensing laws. It was great though sitting in my seat and having people pass beers down the aisle from you, and then the money being passed back down to the tender. That's Japan, though. Same thing here and people would steal your money/beer, or drop/take a swig. They added a Red Rooster to AFL members, which is a bit trivial bevause I can already get my junk food fix on everywhere else. Where's the variety? Hoping the American BBQ craze will make its way into the MCG. Ribs and beer at the footy! That's the one thing that's missing!

About a decade ago I went to a baseball game in Tokyo. Noticed a few things: 1. The sheer variety of food on offer. 2. The speed and efficiency of the food stalls. Never had to wait even with a crowd of 70k at Tokyo Dome. 3. People strolling the aisles serving beer. Albeit they were girls in skimpy costumes serving beer out of backpack kegs but it worked well. Being in AFL MEMBERS, I actually think the quality is good -- the burgers and schnitzel sandwiches are very good -- but I absolutely loath having to wait in a line for chips. I appreciate it's hard work for the people behind the counter but they seem to never be able to keep up with demand. There's a steak sandwich stall which if busy takes yonks. There are a few Four and 20 stands around the place but they run out of pies quickly, which is comical. There should also be a chip stand, just serving chips. A sandwich bar would also be great. Went to a Dallas Mavericks game and they had about 5 food stalls all next to each other in one area. One was tacos, one burgers, one middle eastern, one bbq (ribs and the like) and one noodle stand. Wait times weren't great but the variety made up for it and it never took more than 5 minutes. The food outside around the ground has more on offer and is better "bad" food, which imo is an indictment on the offerings inside the ground. I probably think too much about this.

I think the headline is misleading. If it's based on his comments on SEN, he said that planning for the future was smart but that the current draft system made it difficult for club's *not* to tank in some way if there was a potential superstar up for grabs. He calls for a lottery draft to eliminate tanking. I think the headline is more a reflection of the discussion happening on the live podcast. All past (current) records aside, we'll win by 8-10 goals. North won't get close.

We'll win both. Am much more concerned about Brisbane. They play with heart and are well coached. They might push us.
