  1. I guess its just his position in footy life, pd.
  2. Its not the 2018 1st Rnd draft pick that's on issue at all. Its the other draft pick, last years P10,,, thats the issue. we could have had Jack Higgins or others, Darcy Fogarty? We could have used 2018 1st Rnd'r,,, + another from this draft, if necessary.
  3. he hasn't torn free from the apron strings or similar, just yet; at least looks that on appearance. Like he's running around on one of those elastic leashes parents sometimes use for kids, instead of dogs. He appears like he wants to let himself go but doesn't dare break that mind restraint. a conservative type trait.
  4. It's pretty hard to mark handballs, these days. The umps are right onto it. I want out talls playing high, except one around 35mtrs. and a spacious 50Mtrs if we can achieve it.
  5. ... careful MaxT, he might drop you out of your own SC team. Relegate you to the Bench; or worse for this week.
  6. Typically North are one of the Hawks match nemesis's. The Hawks hold no superstitious fears for the Roos. The Bear would have some of this belief/attitude built into his makeup before he arrived on our doorstep. We could use his belief/attitude this weekend to spread through our young lads, for them to feed off and adopt as their own. To me, the balance is better this week with switching Frost for Pedo. Also I would switch one of the out of form mid/half-forwards for Dion. That would be all I would do, just the 2 changes.
  7. Gawny, I think against the Dawks smalls, we cannot go in too tall down back. IMO we need to have one main tall key back (Oscar),,, and the 2nd tall has to be excellent against the smalls, intercepting, playing small, reading the play, etc. So I think Frost is superfluous this week, for these reasons... and is not such a forward as to create in the front half; he can only play defensive tall forward. which will have its times of need imv. However this week I think we need the Bear in. PedoBear is needed to chop-out Maxy in the ruck, and to help work-over BBMcEvoy. He can also chip in with goals on occasion. He is one who can do those 1% in tight situations, that allows our smalls to shine. can go down back IF required. This would allow MaxtG to play some time out of the Goal-square, with his goblins around him. Creating, mischief.
  8. I'd like to see more individuals up forward working their creative talents, rather than some sort of team drafts or chess pieces strategy. thinking Daicos, Lockett, Bartlett, Baldock, JFarmer, the Ox_ ... all these players would struggle in today's strangled footy grounds. Never the likes of, to be seen ever again. Property has become far too expensive for us all. At great cost.
  9. reduce the rotations. Please, reduce. Get us all back a little bit of running space. With this will return spontaneity & creativity.
  10. IMO, its a thing done by selfless players, instinctively.
  11. sometimes called a 'block'. We don't do these things, 'intuitively', enough.
  12. now all we have to do, is do this same thing, for 'diving'. rub them/it out.
  13. __ 'do you wanna touch me there'... LoL
  14. He's got endurance, to run with Mitchell. He can cover miles, which would be needed to mind Mitchell. We don't have many with strong tanks. And with ANB down on form, a negating role might be helpful.
  15. Yeah that bloody Misson has gotta lot to answer for. handicapping our players like he does. did anyone here have any success sacking him, ever ? better not stuff up our September glory Miss'.
  16. ... and the same WoW over this club, the way it's finally developing it's players, to become the best they cab be... and they are starting to become, something,,, better then we were before. better than at least 27 years. And we are just at the lower rungs of our development, as a club, as a list, and our players individually. I am so glad the club has announced progress towards a training facility, where the whole lot of this place can come together in unison.
  17. It's not form... it's just one game. Lets see him build a platform of good games. One that he can launch from, & re-land on, if need be.
  18. He's a Bull, in a mid-sized china-shop. Let him run rampant in that bull ring, and then he can rest up forward. When the Bull rests, let the Tracta pull the load. Add Clarrie ball magnet, & Viney the pig-dog, and we have a heap of grunt. Send in some pace and the World just keeps a turning.
  19. thanks Jag007 Is that right. 50 games to young Salem? Well done Salo.
  20. stats, stats, stats. just do the right thing you guys, to win the game for the club, and team.
  21. I think Hogan will run Chip around until his wooden leg drops off. Pedo in for Frost, to enable Gawn forward more often. Pedo to jump into McEvoy as much as possible. I've changed my mind on Bernie,,, & I think Bernie will go with O'meara. Another option to O'meara might be Bugg. I'd play ANB to shadow Mitchell like a rash vest. I'd give Dion a game now, to play tight on Cyril. I see this game consisting of a top team recently on decline, which has a well drilled and successful gamestyle,,, versus an upcoming yet green team, with a new and changing gamestyle which is not so well drilled in just yet. I think weDees have more talent of the future, yet theHawks have a more steady team environment. I'll TIP a draw for this game.
  22. Maybe Bernie and ANB get the nod to quell Mitchell. If Mitchell wins the ball, we want him to cough it up.
  23. Bernie may get to go on Mitchell.
  24. No,,, it would be a little bit like watts ; if we elevated him on one reasonable game. Let him form a real foundation of top-form first. If he played and got burnt this week,,, it may have a very bad effect on the kid. When he's put together a lot of games of topline footy, & in the ruck; Maybe them will be the time... because if it goes sour, he has the memory banks full of proof that he's on the right pathway.
