  1. spot on, it sounded just like it on radio, but looked like we stifled them more-so,,, on the Telly.
  2. obviously LoL, yeah that'll teach him to leave the Crows. ? _ now, who else wants to leave, next ???
  3. a Win is a Win is a Win...
  4. He's been building, and building his tank. same with ANB. Add some form into the team, and they all start to shine. We are up and away atmo. Some of the guys looked like tiring late in the 2nd Qtr; physically feeling the heat, and some mental errors later on after half time, from some experienced players from fatigue, including TMc. I have to see out the game yet. But it was a very good clinical win. And the crows didn't show up, or we dindn't let them. Our intensity was very good. A danger game coming up against a struggling side that we should beat, and will be expected to beat. That makes it a danger game, because of our recent mental attitudes in these type games.
  5. isn't it. ... its time our finals series took to the road, taking the game to all Australians. I'm imagining a twilight game in Alice on Free2Air TV on a Monday night in July, maybe after playing in Darwin, on a Friday night. Or Vica Verca... Alice twilight Friday, then Darwin on the following Monday-week, night game ?
  6. absolutely love it... Bloody fantastic, I feel so proud of the work we are doing with this countries original peoples, the worlds oldest longest surviving nations. in the oldest land with the oldest footy club in the world. Great job whoever thought of and organised these cultural efforts.
  7. Hope we have the desire. and, I'm off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdlQM9hGh3s
  8. I'm moving house and with showers coming later, I have to trailer the leather lounge now. Just catching a breath before the trip. Then back. I hope to catch the 2nd half Live, but I am recording.... thanks FreeToAir.
  9. Again, not one of the Greats, but he was a great footballer of his time.
  10. Your being blinded by stats, like games played. If Coleman was judged that way, he wouldn't anything more than a good ordinary footballer. Which is what ANB & Tyson are at present. Rodney was much better than that, and yes he missed a stack of games, but he swung a lot of wins our way, as well. Lockett missed a stack of games. Brereton lost a stack of games. Dipper as well. Greg Williams. Jonathon Brown early days.
  11. aren't the words interesting as an overlay.
  12. that is true swyl just as you don't. So obviously I'm talking about their games played. Not how many, but the influence they have in the games they play. That's how I determine their effectiveness. I'm not voting like a best & fairest,,,,, as that desn't win games or Premierships. I'm talking about doing things for the team to win matches, and sacrifice acts. etc, team acts. Grinter is a great player of that era, and of Melbourne. not "the Greats" not the "LEGENDS", but a great of Melbourne. and of that afl era.
  13. tata little boy. I thought you were more mature last time I witnessed you, but you regressed some how? your age going backwards. how do you do that?
  14. Grinter is the equal of all of them, in terms of effectiveness. Only Lyon was slightly higher, in SOO games. at least for a couple of seasons, anyway. Neita not quite as good as Lyon. But played in a lesser quality team, compared to what the younger Lyon had. Love or popularity, doesn't equate to great or not great, as a footballer.
  15. and this is the danger period. Thinking we are better then we really are. "getting ahead" is not all its cracked out to be. Its often a negative thing.
  16. Bevo is rebuilding again, after their season from hell. At least they got that flag, breaking the drought. but it came at a cost.
  17. thats it. Its not about this week, until 3 weeks before finals.
  18. they should never have bothered you. Yes Rod was a great player. He held his own in company of Peter Moore, Jimmy Jess, David Cloke, Rhys-Jones, what else do you want. He wasn't Tony Lockett or Jonathon Brown. You seem to be a bit off in your judgements. Actually thinking less of Grinter, amongst these players of the day.
  19. Rod was an excellent player, a great player. Not one of the all time AFL greats. Again reading too much into it. I didn't call him a legend. I called him a great Melbourne player. As Stynes was, as Sean wight was, as Greg Healey was. as Yeater was.
