  1. I like to think that this is a sign Our Football Board, Admin, and Footy Dept, are working together;.... and are going to try to keep us all informed and up to date... instead of the Tiddily-Winks that AFL clubs have dealt the footy public,,, over the past 20 years or so. I really hope so, that they start to treat us all as partners in footy,,, instead of Footy-Sheep to be fleeced at will.
  2. fantastic. I truly hope so. Rory would make a great addition to our chances, IF he does come back to Vic.
  3. I don't agree; we have a lot of coalface operators,,, 1st touch merchants, but we need 2nd touch clearance type players with fine skills, who can take the ball out of the traffic, & deliver it to our players on the outside. Sloane is handy, both in tight traffic, and also when he's out in some space. He can kick a goal on the run, and he finds his targets, with the ball. We do NOT need, pure outside footballers.
  4. understand footy, watts to understand? Gaff the clearance king? https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pc-adelaide-crows--rory-sloane
  5. ah, Dr Wu !
  6. Trades and FA discussions - midfielders. Here are some CLearance Stats, across the AFL, for 2017, & 2018. 2017 - https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_rankings?year=2017&rt=LA&st=CL 2018 - https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_rankings?year=2018&rt=LA&st=CL How do you reckon we rate, against the rest ? .
  7. don't know SFb. But I just found this... this might show some things of interest. have a look, as i do so myself. https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_rankings?year=2018&rt=LA&st=MA
  8. It sounds to me like some players over there have not bonded with trust,,, to the crows group. And so when trying to bridge that gap in trust, it can go awry. Maybe EddieB doesn't trust anyone, readily??? and so may not buy-in, so well.
  9. do you mean a couple of weeks before the granny, McQ?
  10. Any backup for Gawn, has to be a powerful mark, around the ground, and packs. His backup, has to have lots of marking stats, this should be the primary stat, at an young age. The hitouts will come with strength, but the marking ability is there, or not there. Hitouts are overrated, unless they are in our players hands directly,,, and then the opposition will just hunt our Mids closely. We have to get the clearances, and we have to control the flow of the game, around the wings and flanks, with marking ability, and top kicking.

  12. He creates mismatches on the wing, and as he drifts forward. # Playing TMc from the Wing, this week, means he can drift back, to chop out little brother, on big Dixon. I'd bring in Petty this week, who apparently is tall and a good reader of the play, to play back with OMc. And TMc from the Wing, playing an overseeing role, for those two. Keep Pedo in, with Hogan. With Pedo helping Maxy in the ruck. Give Pedo more minutes on-ball, with Maxy stretching Ports defenders more often. Rotate Maxy more frequently. Garlett may be handy, in that scenario, when Maxy is forward. Garlett and Petracca roving deep forward to Maxy.
  13. Four Field Umpires exactly ! ... why gill why ? WTF. Much better off with 2 Field umpires, running the corridor; and have 4 boundary riders, assisting the other umpires...
  14. C'mon, don't forget,,, they gave us premiership player Michael Young ! pretty face 'n' all.

    Alex Rance

He's just 'takin the P' rance'. It's covered 'mnocla'. nothing to see here... see no evil, speak no evil. How do you know the kid doesn't like it? nothing to see here, and nothing to speak of. scouts honor. ? play de devil's advocate.
  16. He wouldn't want to be as expensive, as the figures being bandied about.
  17. We don't need one quick player in our team. We need to install 2 or 3 quick players, over our journey building this team. And its not 'outside run' that we need..... we need breakaway pace, inside/outside, in defence, around the middle, and forward Re smalls. Not your Garlett type pace forward, but more your DeGoey type pace forward. or midfield.
  18. This is what we all want and are saying, but there are many different ways, of getting there. The break away speed players who can run, and nail targets on the run, are what we lack.
  19. Frost played forward last game for Casey. And surprisingly spotted up a 45` target, inside the 50 arc, with PREcision. I was shocked. But I reckon they are trying him out as a forward now, to workout the list management decisions for later in the year. I was also thinking about him trying to take over Pedo's place as backup forward and follower. He certainly has the pace to do a great job,,, 'IF', he can start taking power marks around the ground.
  20. Tyson's not the future for us. We need leg speed around the middle. He's in the 2's for a reason, to give him and the AFL world, a message. Gun for hire! will travel.
  21. nup, its the players... doing this. They are, on paper, a real chance... but they're not a team; together. Something is very wrong, they're unhappy at that place. they are not focused at all, and really haven't been fully focused since the start of the last finals series. So this means, players will be for the picking, come trade time.
  22. We haven't seen Billy Stretch's worth, yet. but he's building, pf.
  23. August will show the story. The big teams will show their hands.
  24. I think they need him to go. It will help them get ahead in the long run. They will get more picks starting again, and probably with more mature players, to help guide them. Lynch's worth can help in this way. they'll get a couple of early picks and also some oldies. As I said last year, I called for Hodge to go to the Suns, to help. And then he went to the Lions, because of Fagan.
