Coaches: Who should we Target?
Cartoon were stuffing things up, the same time as we were. I like Ratten as well... But lets NOT upset the apple cart; for wish this, or wish that. Inner harmony is crucial to us. .

There is a role for Bugg
Maybe you needed more self-doubt growing up, so you could understand what its like, and also what its like for others. Only those who have conquered it themselves, maybe, truly understand this process. . Its very easy to right people off who are battling with inner demons/negatives,,, the processing mind-power the negatives devour from an individuals focus, can be huge. And unrealised.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20
It will be interesting to see what GC do... how they come out. The flood gates in their minds may be open right now, so they may be all thinking of their furture's elsewhere; and sort of escapism's. Will be interesting to see who plays with heart. Also same with us, to see who of us have the killer instinct and who do not. This will be what we should be looking at/for... see who wants it most. .

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20
So do I. I want US to be more like Sheedy's Essendon sides, & doin' it to them. The old hawk sides of the time. We've been taken over by 3AW styled do-good'rs__ for 50Yrs... time is up. and time to pay & play... Les plaisirs démodés Work hard, play hard, and enjoy the pleasures from that. nobegyourpardons.

Often you can see the lack of fluency in the players movement, at the ball, at the attempted mark, during the run in to kick, etc. Self doubt increase the rigidity, and causes skill errors. Ending in mental/confidence errors and poor performance. The negatives cause the player try too hard.... and in doing so, are not relaxed enough to allow the intuitive brain to guide the kick, and the weight of kick. Intuition is blocked..... by the player trying so hard to over-control the outcome. .

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20
Actaully Dms56, I think we NEED the rough edges..... as it inspires that old adrenaline in the crowd ! and the umpires,,, well they just follow the crowd. Being sickly polite is whats killed us for a half a century. Northey instilled an aggression into our players that got US close..... but he didn't instill that into OUR crowd. And some of Our crowd were embarrassed by too much aggression. This IS the Curse. Our own embarrassment of aggression.... & in your face aggression. is what got Norm,,, and what got us... all of this time. We became so conservative, we lost that, 'Checker and Smith', 'Fire and Brimstone'. And it was this soft attitude that sacked Smithy... The beginning of the end wasn't Smithy, it was the attitude that had taken over again that sacked Smith. It was Percy and Checker whom imported the fire and brimstone To Melbournefc, who were a conservative club, up till they arrived. With the world change in the 60's,,, and throughout world sport... we went the other way, deep into our conservative-ness behind the scenes. We did not move ahead, in-sync with the world.

The majority is in the mind, and learning to trust yourself more. Accepting that you might make mistakes, or fail, is liberating; and helps the self belief taking the monkey away. Via removing most of the negatives in ones mind. ... the acceptance takes the power/weight away from the negatives. .

Changes v Gold Coast Suns
The Crows appear to be front runners, like we were once upon a time this century. They open up like a kebab in foil. Lets not get too carried away with those entries last week after halftime. We have to have composure and vision; wide vision, to see all opportunities. and the players to placer the ball where we need it. I worry about Jeffy, he's a bit of front runner as well... likes to have the ball out on his own. We'll miss Spargo, if he rests. He is a distributor. But he needs a spell, to come back sharp.

Changes v Gold Coast Suns
Our weakness is the way we bring the ball into 50, so Jeffy should be able to help in that mid area of the ground, and maybe find someone his own size to tackle??? maybe. .

The 2018 Membership Ladder
The perfect recipe to destroy smaller clubs... and then the competition. More short-sighted visual media execs. .

Changes v Gold Coast Suns
Yes but AVB was out for 2 yrs. needs more time, imo. Kent is hanging on the hook. He needs to show up or..... now is the time. I would replace Spargo with Kent for 2W. After that (return Spargo) we see how Jeffy and Kent are going.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
I wouldn't mind having a crack at Rich this year. ... but save our pennies for 2019__ I'd like a red hot crack at Lachie Whitfield... he is the one we all want. Forget Gaff. Spend Spend Spend on Lachie.

Changes v Gold Coast Suns
This surely brings Kent in? And may keep Spargo in. I'd rather Hannan and Kent in, for Spargo and Melk's. He's only played 3 matches, and then a bye last week, following near to 2Yrs away from playing anything at all. This weeks game is the least risky for us,,, for him to return,,, but I'd rather he plays at least another week at VFL level, after last weeks bye round. The next Rnd 21 is against the Swans, also in Melbourne. Then following is a trip to Perth, followed by a Last Rnd home game against the Giants. I'm sure his bone stress would be behind him now, but the risk of soft tissue issues must be real for him. I reckon the Swans game at the 'G' might be the best bet for him. I think he really would need another Full-game run, before coming back in.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
This I'm OK with. But Weide stays where he is. Weide will be a better player than all the names you've listed in this post. Accepting possibly Lynch. Moore's the unknown quantity. anything, is possible. .... but bigman aggression is a keeper, by any name. in any form.

Tom McDonald?
Greg Parke was the great white hope, for rednblue bluebygone days. What, better than Trevor Barker? Not many better than him.

Should Jack Viney consider amputating his toe for the team?
