I used to be the same as that with the 'one club thing', etc. But I'm thinking of Jonesy and his tenure within the AFL, as well as this Club, and how it can cover off Lever. And do all it can to realise its dream and to finally achieve it's aim. Jones'y could help the club do just this. By aiding May to come here. And in the process, help the game itself in a big way.

I understand all that, but he has a max of 2 years with us, before he's gets overtaken from within. There is every chance that Jones'y will lose the captaincy at the Demons within the next 12 months. That won't be the case at the Suns. As his leadership alone will dictate he plays on there to aid in their recovery. They and the AFL would pay him overs to have a player of his skill-sets and experience, to help lead the Sun's out of the shadows. I cannot think of any other leader within the AFL that has his bulk of experiences,,, that makes them a better choice to do that job. He is far and away the most suited for the role. Loyalty of course... but how will it be when we have to drop him from our finals bound sides next year, or the season after. How will that be for loyalty ? And after that, retirement beckons. A sudden fall from grace.

There is no shafting SWYL, it would be by mutual decisions. its a good fit all round. GC die... LoL. The hatred here, to the competition, and to posters with creative ideas is astounding. No wonder our club has struggled for so long, without any results. The conservative dark side is strong around these parts young Darth.

Brendan McCartney & Cooney/Bulldogs situation
The culture angle meets a lot of resistance from within;,,, against any change from outsiders and newbies. That is the difficulty at Melbourne, when the soft resets. McCartney would have challenged this resistance, and he did trade out some old talented players to help shift the resistance,,, no doubt. Naturally there would be some disharmony, in doing this resetting of culture, and values. Players don't like being made to work harder than they've been used to, and to be more professional, and more dedicated. No doubt Macca helped to setup the premiership which Bevo made, with the Doggies.

Should have been North, your right, but isn't... they will surely end up in Tassie. And the choice isn't mine, it would obviously be the Suns, Nathan and families, the AFL's,,, & then Mfc's. The Upside for Mfc, is we get a Key defender in his prime, to Aid us out our self-imposed 50 Yr hell-hole. You want to be ruthless or not SWYL, or is that pretence.

Hodge has, Mitchell did, and there will be more to do it. Nathan will get more years in the game doing something really important for our game. I'm sure his family would cope really well. with winters up there. As would Nathan, i'm sure, and I think being close to the surf would help Nathans aging body recover from any soreness as he ages further. Extending his career. Don't let your hostility get in the way of your thinking dd36. And the loyal servant would being serving the game he loves. He has 2 years left within our team, at lesser money. Before its all over. He will get an extra year or two up in QLD in the warm climes, on big money. .

No, sorry... I don't watch other clubs these days, as I struggle to even watch our games in a sitting. I watched the Storm Friday night. Watched us Satdy night. I don't like the congestion and the commentary. Most of the presentation in the box. The Ex players are killing the TV Product. Its too in your face,,, and too Figjam on the commentary bench. .

* To help the AFL and Footy,,, in the biggest Job within the AFL, at this time. * For a huge payday for his family * To get the chance to finally share AFL games with his young Bro. * To get to surf more readily in warmer climate for a few years whilst he does some really important work for the game, and the pleasure he will receive with the growth up there. * He gets to really set his family up with the remuneration AFL guaranteed, with him leading that club back up. * To stamp his imprint into the culture of the new and struggling club. * And to get the forever gratitude from the AFL itself, for his remaining days on this planet. * Potential to enhance a possible media career, after his playing days with 2 clubs... the oldest and youngest.

The choice would be with Nathan, and his family... PD. There is none of your hate PD. you are the one holding hate in your absenteeism. And don't bother coming out of your hole to UN-ignore. It's been a pleasure not reading you til now, with you in there. Try looking in a mirror, if you think of your last statements. seeya.

Your very short sighted Mickey. NJones is perfect for the role as the reasons stated. His Discipline crucial. Dew is there now as coach. Swans disciplines. Zac Jones would be there in support of his brother,, helping nJ change the culture at ground level. While Dewy does his thing from above the List.

Nathan Jones is the best option in the League having been there done that, as a leader. He is slowing, but his leadership is perfect for that specific job... the biggest job in AFL right now. He has seen all the methods of trying to build, and rebuild... the failures and the correct path. He has the stern mind and the steely Look. His discipline is 2nd to no other. And I think he would love the Lifestyle up there for a few years. This would be a Ma$$ive Pay Day for nJones, if offered this Job. And would guarantee him a huge place in AFL history, for taking the role on. $M2.25 over 3Yrs ??? His brother would get to play alongside Nathan, and could possibly take the leadership, following. Jones'y would help us get May into the club, and possible an early 1st Rnd pick,,, with us adding others onto the deal, to help set them onto an even Keel. We are blessed for mature heads and hard honest workers on our list... this is what the Gold Coast lacks_ 'Real Honesty', and 'Real Commitment'. Lets get it done Melbourne and AFL. .

I would be looking at trading to the Gold Coast, for May. OMc and Jones. I love my club; and also I really want the 2nd Qld team to succeed. GCS For them the Key is real tough Love, with the right disciplined leaders. To set them up the right way_ Enter Nathan Jones... And Zac Jones, from the Swans. We have a few possibilities as trade options, from -> OMc, Tyson, Hunt, AVB, Wagner, Kent, Bugg, JKH, Keilty,

The other one I think might be more important than Gaff, is Steven May. We cannot be sure that Lever won't breakdown again. Like the Ox did. We need to cover off this area. I'd be spending my money this year on May. With accompanying trades.

Yep, save our pennies for real talent, and go hard.

He certainly sounds like a good type of player.

or Lachie Whitfield... even moreso.

Brendan McCartney & Cooney/Bulldogs situation
Look at the mess the players were are over there; so self centred. And some want to point the finger at McCartney... seriously, I know who I trust Re their judgement. And so say the former Geelong stars who wanted to go to work with Brendon. Maybe this was a club culture issue more, than anything?

The look of the game.
No it won't. Because once a poor team, it'll take 10Yrs + to become a good team, in the current state of the game.. Just another recipe for power clubs, and also-rans. Just like the past 50 years. And we're losing too many kids from Pro-Footy, because of all this over-professional state of the game... and the lack of space, so many skilled kids cannot operate in such little time and space. It should not be based on the ratings alone as this is merely the warning shot over the Bow. It is the actual people leaving the game, and saying so for many years.... that MUST be listened to. .

Coaches: Who should we Target?
Yep, I recall. I was disappointed when he left us. but we were a mess waiting to implode. lucky he did go at that time. Now is a much better time for incumbents.

Casey Demons v Northern Blues - Round 18
cheers 'Mah'. I like your long run up into the wind. and agree. Lockhart and CWagner, both interesting. Machaya, don't recall having seen him? exciting times.

Casey Demons v Northern Blues - Round 18
They probably did MSF; and then changed it back again before anyone realised... such is the AFL and rules of the game.
