Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Is he really? is he that slow? Whats his endurance like? Remember we need someone as a backup, in-case we lose some insiders to injury in 2019. I'm not interested in Tyson, he just doesn't use the footy anywhere near well enough, that I've seen... Time to shuffle the deck and discard. Without Lew & Tyson,,, we can carry a slow player as an in-under. We just can't carry 4 slow on-ball'rs.. - - - - - -- I'm still in the Pro Pedo corner for 2019,,, for similar reasons. I expect Weidman to start to rise next year, but he will most likely still be inconsistent you'd think. And IF we were to cop a major injury to Hogan or TMc, we would have to rely heavily on Weides. Pedo gives us insurance for the Ruck, Defence, and Forwardline. Good value I think, for the cost of one season salary.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Yes, I think we could use DArmitage for a couple of years. He certainly would give us cover inside,,, Re injuries and ability... with Tyson on the outer. And while our younger players get their acts together. He would help us park a bit of Salary Cap,,, for when we can go at Kelly or Whitfield, when they come up.

Proposed new rules for 2019
That's exactly right Daisy. I've been calling for just this for years now,,, since the time/clock wasting has been going on. Its plain ridiculous that the clock keeps running down,.. while a player ties his shoelace or takes a quick power-nap. .

. The suns desperately need leadership, just as we've had from Lewis in the past 2 years grooming the clubs culture. And just as the Lions have had from Hodgey. I reckon the AFL would like to help the Suns get back on-track... So, to me, a win-win would be something like : > NJones and ZJones to the Suns. Leadership in dedication and commitment, you will not surpass. Two brothers playing together for the first time. Our take... Touk Miller or Ben Ainsworth. The Swans, I imagine, not sure of they're needs. Maybe Jarrod Witts, or someone else? The Suns have been in "parte` mode" for far too long now,,, and they need some clean livin' hard edged people, who will back one another, to start to turn that culture around, from the ground floor. .

Proposed new rules for 2019
What the game needs is freedom ! Freedom from all these rule changes and tinkering done in the past number of years,,, that has lead it to all this carp. Freedom from all the rotations. Freedom from so much bending of rules. Freedom from administrators wanting to stamp the game in their image. Freedom from all the $$$ exploitation's. Freedom from over sized EGO's in the commentary box's. ... and freedom from even more new rules and rule changes. MY take is , remove the interchange numbers back to where they once were,,, and leave the game be. # 2019_ 3 man interchange bench and 1 Sub. # 2020_ 2 man interchange bench and 2 Subs. Then let the game be itself, 2021+___

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Spargo is quick in the mind, a distributor. Jeffy is flee't. We need pace on the run, that comes inboard a footy player. A player who can and will play, anywhere the team needs.

I think he 'Tyson' lacks 'the vision', that Oliver has. Oliver seems to have great spacial perception... in that he knows where players are prior to bounce. a sort of photo-graphic memory of the area, immediately prior to taking the ball. You need this when driving fast in heavy traffic... to reinforce your judgement/perception. Without it, all confidence goes down the drain when under pressure. He is another who should take up juggling. And master it... and then in the dark, or dimly lit room. The idea is to be able to focus on an object whilst moving thru traffic, or chairs... to sort of, devide the spacial perception... to be able to focus on the ball, whilst another part of the brain focus's away from the ball, on other objects about. - - - - - - - - but this won't help his work-rate or running abilities.

I would think so; Tyson seems to need the game played in slow motion these days, for him to get the ball away.

Darwin game dumped
Different weather conditions effect people in different ways... I cannot stand warmth with high humidity;,, it causes me to sweat, and I get irritated with discomfort. However I can tolerate 49 degrees without freaking out. I don't like it but can manage apart from sleeping. I would take the 49 degrees dry heat,,,, over 26 degrees and high humidity any day. I'm a cold weather person, preferring temperatures around 15 - 24 degrees as my ideal. So I'm NOT any sort of reptilian in habits.

why not use an emoticon, to guide the reader? Text carries no subtlety or colour for me to find. as in life... I need it spelt out... as a friend once said to me. ("do you want it spelt out") my answer was, "YES". This is why I speak plain and straight... And yes, I have a great sence of humour and fun, but subtle words leave me without meaning or understanding... Words have far too many meanings,,, and since I've learnt to not live by assumptions; I find indirect language a barrier to understanding; as words can mean so many things. .

The 2019 fixture
.... and a Friday Game, prior to that one, even if not Free2Air 2 Thursday night games, either side of the Anzac Eve match,,, just for 2019 would work, I reckon.

'timbo', I know your not as simple as you try to make out when you have no argument, but trying to play dumb is not the way to be manly. We are beggars. not choosers; and we also have an obligation like other clubs, to benefit this game. Our is in the NT. others are into Tassy, some Qld. We are attempting to grow relationships with the Casey region, and the Sth East. As well as the Alice. We cannot have all the cake to ourselves, and eat it all, as well. Even if we are aligned to the mcc. We cannot be that spoiled to think only about ourselves, or themselves. We have to contribute to the games greater needs. So you know the clubs HQ should not be in Alice; or anywhere but Melbourne. Gosch's is ideal.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
He'll be able to adapt, but it will take him time to learn new habits. the good thing is change is apon us after this end of season and open spaces will happen more often in next few seasons. So Hunty is a keeper IMO, for this reason. And while we're waiting for the rule changes, he must continue to learn to lower his eyes at Casey,,, for his running, and then his kicking.

Don't you mean a Cyril type. When has eddie of jeffy ever 'brought down' a big dog ? 2 are inferred stars, the other is the real deal.

Past seasons we've been on free to air. Alice was free2air. I don't watch foxtel, unless its put on in front of me. I will never; never pay, for TV !!! ..... if free2air dies, my record and DVD collection beckon, as will my little boat. and the garden.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
So a trade would need to be done? He tells them he intends to come home, and they might start to think of offers?

We've been winning at Docklands since last year I think, because of our contested ball winners, and our ability to defend and 2 way running. We've won at Alice Springs and Darwin. And the follow up game. It's not all about revenue for the club. - - - - - - - - - - But it is about exposure on TV. To attract new supporters and Kids. And it helps break public perception of a white-Australia elitist sort of club. Which we need to do. The club has drifted away, over the past 50 odd years, from being an open club, to be too heavily focused on members and elitism's. This needs to stop, because its a roadblock to many Aussies. And new Australians, and Our Original 1st people Australians. IMO as we've become an easy beat team over the decades;,,, we've gradually lost our 'Outer' Fan base of normal Aussies... and only held our rusted on members mainly in the North,,, like the Mcc. This inturn effects all the Board decisions taken over the past 50 years... as the majority of directors have Mcc approval and references from our very own high profile supporters who frequent that establishment. This inturn does not help to Re-grow our outer fan base,,, by reopening the club to allow access to the outer fans. This desired exclusivity is just that..... exclusionary.

Yeah, like spending the past 50 years playing in Melbourne has proven so successful for us. We ought to protest at these away games

I can see it now, Diamond Jim Andrew Gaff.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Some like squeaky clean boy next door types. I hope we get some killer players, who want to murder the opposition like it was at the Colosseum. We need effective types. And with a touch of mongrel, would suffice.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
They're both Bambi's. at this stage. But there is signs they are starting to grow. But they are both a long way off AFL at this stage of development.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
I agree. We need players who can play,,, hard, and with speed. We do not need speed on its lonesome.
