  1. This celebration of MFC's mediocrity, an umpire cheating and a fluke goal makes me want to vomit

even if we got Trengove. How about we see it as the crap it trully was rather than celebrating failure.

    Lighten up Diablo!

  2. Mr Controversial! Hope 2 see you at Buller this week GNF ;) Just saw the forecast :) Look out for the mad man watching the game from the bar with The Dees beenie on

Not booked in sorry Yeats. Received a speeding fine driving back from Buller last Sunday morning to go to the game, now almost out of points. There were three car loads of Melbourne Supporters in convoy, but I was the unlucky one to get nabed. Dam it!

  3. GNF, you know well and truly why one of your posts was deleted on one occassion. There was good reason and with best intentions even for you personally, you even recognised this and verified this by thanking me for the deletion. The other two occassions I am unfamiliar with; hence I cannot comment on.

I 100% agree High Tower, I should not have been giving such details. It could have cost me a close friend. Call it a rush of blood.

Yesterdays comment about facts being deleted although true is just tounge and check.

  4. 2010 Ladder position and record 9- 11wins 11 losses

    B & F Winner: Brad Green

    Most Brownlow Votes: Colin Sylvia

Most Rising Star Votes: Tom Scully

    Most Improved: Watts, Pettard, Dunn

Our 5 most important players at the end of the season will be: Sylvia, Green, Jurrah, Morton, Scully

2010 Premier: Bulldogs over Hawks in GF

    Wooden Spoon: Tigers

    Brownlow: Judd

    Coleman: Roughead

Can't help but complement myself on the highlighted predictions.

  5. The funny thing about this thread is that 3 times this season I have made posts of yet to be announced facts of interest. On each occasion the moderator has deleted my comments as they know they are fact not rumour!! Go figure.

  6. This is a disgrace! This is not the attitude that will ever produce a flag.

This is what makes Melbourne supporters the laughing stock of the competition, no other team would have supporters hoping they don't make the finals. Effectively hoping we lose without reward. You have made me feel sick.

AFL is a pressure sport at all levels. This is not a under 11s girls netball team. Our team will have to man up and defeat the pressures of expectations if they are ever to win the flag. What is the problem with experiencing this pressure early? The players who can't handle it will need to make way for the players that can and the only way to find this out is by putting players into the pressure cooker that is AFL finals football and future media expectations.

Appalling thread, inept supporters. I am ashamed. This thread should be deleted.

  7. I read the swans site.

    Very Entertaining!!

I was surprised with the number of their supporters who did credit our performance and congratulate our team. Several said that our team would be "scary" in coming seasons, others surprised me with their significant knowledge of our list and complemented the draft orientated list build. A couple even spoke of the inspiration of Stynes.

I hate to say this but overall I thought they spoke significantly more politely and highly about us than this site would have about them if the situation was reversed. So what, many fairly had a crack at the umpires, some correctly called us tankers, but no one complained that the best team did not win. Overall they were much more level headed than the rubbish I sometimes read on this site after a humiliating loss.

  8. Some of you on here will know that I am good friends with Juddy.

This morning Juddy called me to talk about the Dees. He said he could not take his eyes off the tv. That Melbourne's first 3 quarters were the best he had seen from any team all year. That it was amazing how so many of Melbournes players could have a day out at the same time. How exciting our style of game is. That it must be a fantastic time to be a Melbourne supporter.

He has never called me to talk about football before.

Clearly he still has a soft spot for the Dees, but before someone makes comment. No he is not about to defect in late career and yes he did make the right choice for both Melbourne and himself going to Carlton.

  9. Scully, Trengove, Gysberts are all nominated.

McKenzie is well overdue and one would think the McKenzie is a shoe in for a nomination this week.

Watts is also one good game away from a nomination and looks ready for a "breakout game". You would think he gets nominated before years end.

Would 5 nominations in one season be a record?

  10. You sense Jack could have a breakout game any week now, his improvement has been consistant and steady.

Yesterday, could have been his break out game but he chocked on two set shots to win the game.

I am betting that his next opportunity will not go begging.

  11. My read on it is that Morton has been dropped for something more than bad form. He was only poor last week but was terrific against Collingwood and is one of our most tallented young guns. Maybe not disclosing an injury as mentioned by Jaded.

It also seems that we have now changed our selection approach to team and player development, away from best possible team. Clearly we are not going to make the finals and as such this is a far better approach. Getting games into some of these kids is what has to happen if we are to challenge for the finals next season. I expect Maric to play.

  12. I could not believe Dunn was dropped. I thought he had performed very well before getting dropped. Sure a few bad errors, missed set shots that cost us the game v dogs, but he had provided a contest, showed some physical presents, improved our run when not playing as deep plus got plenty of the ball. I think our forward line has missed him badly. He was extremely unlucky ever to be dropped. Miller must make way for Dunn.

  13. You're friends with Chris Judd?

Yes, I see quite alot of him. My wife is best friends with twigs, we usally eat together at least once a week, came to my wedding etc. I have mentioned this before on this site most importantly a thread on why Judd did not come to MFC. Having said that though, I have never and will never talk out of school when it comes to these two and feel uncomfortable just saying this.
