  1. thank goodness for that
  2. Have an open home at dusk but have told the Agent everyone out by 6.30. I have to prepare.
  3. Might be earlier than round 11.
  4. Demon shop is moving everything to Casey so maybe they are planning a "pop up" for the 18th. I would ring the shop and confirm.
  5. All community games are on Foxtel as well as Kayo. Hopefully the Club will have a BBQ with the Demon Army on the 2 March, the last Saturday training before Round O!
  6. Having just come back from hols in Phuket I've realised who Tommy Mac reminds me of - an inmate in a Siberian gulag - because that is what Phuket has become - a very outer suburb of Moscow.
  7. or lack of.............
  8. Maybe a "consciously uncoupling" which may leave space for a renewed "coupling" when their new models are to be released.
  9. The dribbling wouldn't have been a good look though!
  10. I wouldn't be able to concentrate on the new game plan😋
  11. WCW he is on the sponsorship list!!!!
  12. Is that the younger brigade or all players. I thought the older players start training a week later.
  13. Yes, stay in his ear a la Freo and Jacko then bring him home to the red and the blue.
  14. At the end of last year at his exit meeting, he was told that he would be asked to play with more attack. So during the preseason he set about changing his body shape and as a consequence I think he had a brilliant year. At this year's exit meeting he got a 10/10 from all the coaches so he was happy with his season but not how it ended.
  15. Not like you to "mince words" WCW😊
  16. I'm going and the first question on everyone's lips will be "Where's Clarrie". A very big elephant in the room.
  17. I think Jake was as surprised as all of us that he was given another contract last year. He was considering what his next cycle of life was going to be like and then contract talks happened. My belief was that he was a great option to have at Casey given his ability to pass on skills without being overbearing. I underestimated him. What he showed us as supporters was not only his tenacity to achieve and leadership skills but also his love for the Club. He is a great asset to have around the Club and is as upbeat about playing in the 2024 finals.
  18. I hope they still invite him to the BNF for a farewell. Last year the sound of oooooze going round the building was massive. Bigger sound for Oooze than for Goody. Just saying.
  19. I haven't posted anything about last night as I wanted to post something not based on emotion. I dont even remember seeing their winning goal as I had my head in my arms on the seat in front. It was so painful to watch the players after and the obvious anguish that they were going through. For someone to post that they were having a laugh losing two finals in a row. Their pain was so raw. If you go back through the season and look at the players we lost to injury (and concussion)and playing with a part time forward line how were we ever going to compete with full strength teams through the year, we were lucky to be fourth. This is not giving the players an out for what happened in the last 30 seconds, that was junior footy at its best but lets just acknowledge that its a hard enough game without constant injuries to players and outside players influencing outcomes. Last night I wouldn't have felt this way but I am grateful for reaching the finals. I wished it ended differently but I got to experience finals football. I know we will come back better next year and it will be heartbreaking to lose some of our favourite players but they will move on from it but not forget how they felt. I do have a new "media expert" to despise and that is Gerard Healey. I would love to know what the Club ever did to him as he described in the last two years that Melbourne have choked and he is not sure how we will ever get back from this. He obviously doesn't have any sources at the Club otherwise he would have known how many injuries at the Club we had going into the finals last year. My last point is how does the AFL appoint an ex Carlton player (#27) to officiate a final. Why do I even bother to question.
