Everything posted by KC from Casey

  1. Roosters by 5 points. Jamie Bennell hurt.
  2. North Ballarat mark 35 metres out and Goldstein marks in the goalsquare.
  3. Goal to Casey 32 minutes in the final quarter from that man Couch!
  4. Goal to Casey's Rian McGough in the dying moments of the game. They need another!
  5. Another one to the Roosters. They look winners now.
  6. North Ballarat lead by a goal. The wind has not helped the Scorps so far this quarter. Also is there any danger that the Casey Council could fix the scoreboard at the grandstand end? I hasn't been working since early last season. Surely they could get a grant from the PM now that her main interest is in promoting football matches!
  7. It's still goal for goal with Todd Goldstein getting on top and North Ballarat scoring to take a 1 point lead.
  8. Bennell and Blease combine for great rebound goal. Kelvin Lawrence is another doing well.
  9. North Ballarat reply - we have a close one!
  10. Goal to Jack Fitzpatrick - Casey now by 5 points.
  11. Jamie Bennell gets a ripper of a goal to start the final quarter! Will we have another cliffhanger or can Casey take advantage of the wind and get away from the Roosters?
  12. Three Quarter Time: Casey Scorpions 9.8.62 North Ballarat 9.14.68 Casey coming home with the wind the last quarter. Some very good things from rookie Jai Sheahan and Jake Fitzpatrick is playing well. Jamie Bennell was a bit quieter while Couch is Couch. Dan Nicholson's new knickname "the butcher".
  13. Unbelievable! Goal for goal as the Roosters lead by a point halfway through the term. Umpires have been friendly to the Scorps this quarter with a couple of frees to Riseley and Lees resulting in handy goals.
  14. Correct - also in the best players. In the main game North Ballarat dominates early with the aid of the breeze and hold a four goal lead at quarter time - 5.8.38 to 2.2.14.
  15. I'm in the country today (other side of town) and, at best will get there late (if at all). I hope some of my contacts will be in touch with scores and details. I do know that the development team (aka ressies) won comfortably. Lucas Cook, on comeback from injury, booted five goals. 19. I will be adding a How the Demons Fared Section at some stage in the next 24 hours (computer wiped my first attempt).
  20. The consistent Scorpions win another heart-stopper. This time by 1 point. Casey Scorpions 2.5.17 6.9.45 8.14.62 9.16.70 Frankston 3.0.18 6.1.37 8.1.49 11.3.69 Goals Casey Scorpions Riseley 2 Fieldsend Fitzpatrick McGough Petropoulos Salton Smith Williams Frankston Kitchin 3 Haretuku 2 Appleford Clark Greeley Martin Matheson Potts Best Casey Scorpions Lees L Tynan Couch Nicholls Morton Smith Frankston Kitchin Martin Van Unen Osborne Irving Miller Disposals Couch Lees 31 Davis Nicholls 24 Collins 22 Sheahan, 21 Morton 20
  21. Three Quarter Time: Casey Scorpions 8.14.62 lead Frankston 8.1.49 Jack Fitzpatrick the best of the bunch today. Cale Morton is getting a lot of it. Sam Blease and Luke Tapscott disappointing.
  22. Couch and Fitzpatrick are getting a lot of the football. Morton is trying hard to be creative, mainly in defence. Troy Davis and Jai Sheahan have been cool in defence.
  23. Half Time: Casey Scorpions 6.9.45 Frankston 6.1.37. The Scorps are a bit sluggish today against a persistent Dolphins. Most of the goals so far have been kicked by Casey listed players. Jack Fitzpatrick who is doing well has a goal.
  24. Quarter Time: Casey Scorpions 2.5.17 trail Frankston 3.0.18 Frankston kicked the first two goals early in the quarter and the Scorpions dominated for most of the next 25 minutes but their inaccuracy held them back.
  25. Both of them are playing in the seniors team along with most of those selected on Thursday night. Strangely enough, Matthew Bate isn't lining up today and we know that Tom McDonald took Stef Martin's place yesterday at Paterson's Stadium. No James Strauss or Josh Tynan either.
