  1. Yes, feel free to ask the question. Terlich has been playing up forward. So too has Max King who just kicked his second.
  2. Two quick goals to Casey after the injury delay. King gets a free to goal followed up by a long one from Terlich.
  3. No hammy as far as I'm aware but Jake Spencer copped a whack on the nose.Quarter time: Casey Scorpions 1.6.12 to Werribee 3.2.20 Goal Muir Jack Fitzpatrick is Casey's best to date.
  4. Muir kicks Casey's first after a nice pass from King and it's 8 points the difference late in the first quarter.
  5. Werribee's accuracy is keeping it in the game. The Tigers have started with the wind but Casey have done plenty of the scoring but unfortunately haven't been able to score goals. Jayden Hunt is not playing and Billy Stretch has been rested. Oscar McDonald did not play in the early game. Werribee 3.0.18 to Casey Scorpions 0.5.5
  6. 57 point win 2015 AFL Victoria Development League Casey Scorpions 4.3.27 8.7.55 9.10.64 12.15.87 Werribee Tigers 0.5.5 0.6.6 3.6.24 4.6.30 Goals Casey Scorpions Rennie 3 Anderson 2 Fisscher Godfrey Lang Pattison Rosier Thwaites Wyatt Werribee Tigers Kolang 3 Wales Best Casey Scorpions Wilson Pattison Hannon Walmsley Rosier Anderson Werribee Tigers Taylor O'Shea Jawad Wales Robinson
  7. Casey 9.10.64 to 4.6.30 - Scorps have the wind in the final quarter.
  8. The game is being broadcast on Casey Radio 97.7FM from 1.00pm.
  9. Casey Scorpions 8.7.55 coasting against Werribee Tigers 0.6.6 at half time in the curtain raiser.
  10. Good start for Casey's Development League team 4.3.27 to 0.5.5.
  11. Casey's crash out to Collingwood last week has probably cost it the opportunity to get the double chance but I'll repeat what I've been saying for a while - this week is a must win. The Scorpions should have around about 15 AFL listed players again while Werribee would be lucky to have half that amount given that the Tigers share their North Melbourne alignment with North Ballarat. A Scorpion loss would therefore not be a good look for the Demons in the team. I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the absence of Dean Kent in either of Casey's teams this week. I suspect that it's due to hamstring tightness.
  12. Werribee is Casey's bogey team but this is a must win (I say that every week, I know) for the Scorps to secure their place in the finals. A fairly large contingent of Demons is expected to front up on Sunday for the main game at Casey Fields but don't expect them to line up like this:- Peter Jackson VFL Casey Scorpions v Werribee Tigers Sunday, August 2 Casey Fields at 2pm Casey Scorpions B: vandenberg Fitzpatrick Bail HB: Harmes Hutchins Gent C: Hunt McKenzie Neal-Bullen HF: Newton Panozza Riley F: Salem Terlich Spencer FOLL: Jamar M Jones Toumpas I/C (from) Byrnes Keilty* Kennedy-Harris King Muir Munro Page Scott White Werribee Tigers B: Sherlock Wilson Sodomaco HB: Laracy Hansen McMahon C: Speight Hanson Fordham HF: Munro Porter Crichton F: Reid Daw Wood FOLL: Wallace Harper Conway I/C (from): Brett Ferrari* Iles Maishman Mihocek Norris Robinson E Wales H Wales * 23rd player AFL Victoria Development League Casey Scorpions v Werribee Tigers Sunday, August 2 Casey Fields at 11am Casey Scorpions B: Hillard King O McDonald HB: Muir Rennie Rutherford C: Walmsley White Scott HF: Anderson Corrigan Fisscher F: Moncrieff Lang Page FOLL: Gains K Wilson Pattison I/C (from): Battle Droessler Gawley Godfrey Hannon C Johnson D Johnson Mason Rosier Thwaites Waters T Wilson Wyatt Werribee Tigers B: Graham Mihocek Maddock HB: Robinson Wales Pickering C: Brett O'Shea Norris HF: King Helliwell Arnold F: Wales VanDenBerg Iles FOLL: Stretton Maishman Del Papa I/C (from): Davie Jawad Jago Kolang Pepper Taylor Walson
  13. All over and it's a Collingwood win by 23 points. 2015 Peter Jackson VFL Casey Scorpions 2.4.16 3.4.22 6.5.41 9.6.60 Collingwood 1.1.7 4.4.28 9.4.58 12.11.83 Goals Casey Scorpions Hunt King White 2 McDonald McKenzie Newton Collingwood Reid 3 Matheson Young 2 Cox Gault Hellier McKeown Williams Best Casey Scorpions McKenzie White Neal-Bullen Hunt Panozza Terlich Collingwood Dwyer Marsh Seedsman Borthwick Hellier Young
  14. Late goal to Jayden Hunt but the team will go down today in a disappointing effort.
  15. Goal to Jayden Hunt as the rain drizzles down. Casey 8.6.54 trail Collingwood 11.5.71.
  16. The Casey Scorpions are in real strife at 3/4 time. They had the wind but put in an absolute shocker of a quarter then allowing the Magpies to kick five goals straight outscore them for the term. They trail by three goals but it's virtually all over. Casey Scorpions 2.4.16 3.4.22 6.5.41 Collingwood 1.1.7 4.4.28 9.4.58 Goals White 2 King McDonald McKenzie Newton
  17. Sorry I'm having some iPhone issues. At half time, the Casey Scorpions have surrendered the lead and trail Collingwood VFL by a goal, their only score coming early in the term. It's an understatement to say that Casey needs to lift. Casey Scorpions 2.4.16 3.4.22 Collingwood 1.1.7 4.4.28 Goals King Newton White Disposals Bail 22 Terlich 16 Neal-Bullen 15
  18. At quarter time, the Casey lead was just 9 points 2.4.16 to 1.1.7 with goals to Newton (on the buzzer) and White. Max King has just added to the tally to give the Scorpions a 15 point break.
  19. Pies goal against the wind 10 - 7 in Casey's favour - the situation has just become even more problematic for Casey which is struggling in the conditions.
  20. Mitch White kicks the first goal for the game. The concern is that it's taken half of the first quarter with the advantage of a stiff breeze.
  21. Casey open strongly but only kicking points - 3 of them.
  22. The Casey Scorpions' game against Collingwood at Victoria Park tomorrow is one of many on the road ahead that are called "8 point games". Leaving aside their visit to Coburg (13th), a ground where they always seem to have trouble winning, the Scorpions other five games are all against top eight sides. They take on the teams ranked 7th, 8th, 1st, 2nd and 3rd in those games. I'm expecting them to win tomorrow because of their greater depth of AFL listed players, particularly in the midfield but recent games against the Pies have been close, so expect a good one. Demon fans will no doubt be interested to see how Christian Salem fares in his first up appearance after a long period out with hamstring injuries. The form of young potential up and comers in Jayden Hunt and Max King will be closely watched as well. The Scorps also are much stronger this year in terms of their VFL contingent with ex Cat and Demon Shannon Byrnes, former Gold Coast Sun Jack Hutchins, Mitch Gent and evergreen skipper Evan Panozza leading the way. Young midfielder Ed Morris is also handy. It's a must win game and, as we all know, a win against Collingwood is always a good one irrespective of the margin. As mentioned above, the game is being broadcast on Casey Radio (97.7) but I'll come in from time to time and report on the game unless called upon by the medical staff to render my assistance.
  23. No medical degree and I haven't been able to enlist a replacement with the requisite skills in the health industry, both Dr. Jack Kavorkian and Stephen Dank being unavailable. I doubt whether Dean Kent would have played in the senior team anyway given his brief appearance in the development league last week so that's in keeping with what the club has said is its conservative treatment of players coming back from such injuries. I'm not expecting a great deal from Christian Salem either - if he plays at all.
