Everything posted by KC from Casey

  1. Tim Smith gets on the end of a bullet-like pass from Christian Salem and slots his second. It's all Casey.
  2. Goal to Declan Keilty - well done son! Casey Scorpions 2.5.17 to Williamstown 0.0.0
  3. Seeing this game is on TV and radio and I'm going to need battery life, I'll only be on sparingly this afternoon. The Development League was something of a disaster for Casey. AFL Victoria Development League Casey Scorpions 1.2.8 4.4.28 5.5.35 10.7.67 Box Hill Hawks 7.3.45 14.7.91 21.11.137 26.16.172 Goals Casey Scorpions Max King 2 J Anderson Cox Freeman Hillard Hulett Vander Haar Wilson Wyatt Box Hill Hawks Brolic 6 Traynor 5 Langford Summers Switkowski 2 Dimasi Fisher Gibson Glass Gordon Kennedy Kidd McIntyre Walker Best Casey Scorpions Moncrieff Rutherford Fritsch Cox Wilson Di Pasquale Box Hill Hawks Murphy Brolic Traynor Evans Switkowski O'Donnell
  4. Beautiful goal by Tim Smith to get the scoreboard ticking over properly after 3 behinds.
  5. Half time and it's a repeat of the Semi Final massacre. Box Hill lead 14.7.91 to Casey Scorpions 4.4.28.
  6. Liam Hulett is indeed playing in the DL - just kicked a goal.
  7. And in the Development League game Box Hill have asserted their authority on the game to lead by 37 points at quarter time - 1.1.7 to 7.3.45. Goalkicker Wyatt
  8. The Bulldogs' magnificent weekend continues. They are 10 goals in front of Collingwood at 3/4 time and on their way to the VFL Grand Final next week.
  9. Forget the AFL this week. There are two huge VFL finals to be played on Sunday. 10. Alex Neal-Bullen finished in equal fourth place after collecting three votes in the final game of the season.
  11. Congratulations to Michael Gibbons of Williamstown - winner of the 2016 JJ Liston Trophy.
  12. Jack Grimes on 11 votes is now Casey's best after 20 rounds but the leader (Gibbons of Williamstown) has 17.
  13. No JJ Liston for Casey. After 18 rounds, the best is ANB on just 10 votes and six behind the leader. He played with MFC in VFL Round 19.
  14. The last time they met, Casey started out as favourite but the team was way below its best in terms of personnel. There were a few important players missing and the ruck strength (no Spencer) was severely depleted. The Scorps had what I believe was a year's low of 12 AFL players. Willy's Meese monstered Max King and first gamer Oscar McInerney (3 disposals) in the ruck. No excuses but they also had other VFL-listed players Ambler, Batten and Gordon with virtually no VFL experience and it showed. A couple of their AFL players were also a bit underdone, having just come back to football. It was a bit of a recipe for disaster and the team played poorly. I expect a different team this week with 17-18 AFL listers to play (despite the loss of Terlich) including Jake Spencer which should change the ruck dynamic even if Meese has a good game. There will be a better balance of AFL/VFL players in the team with Keilty and Morris who missed the last game available and McInerney, with a few more games under his belt, should also assist. Expect a much better Casey to play this week.
  15. The Development League Grand Final has now been moved to Sunday at 11.30 at North Port Oval and will therefore be the curtain raiser to the Seniors Preliminary Final. Good move.
  16. Siren and the Scorpions move into the Grand Final. 19. A point in it as Willy goal. The pendulum swings again!
  20. Bailey Fritsch marks in the goal square and boots his third. Casey lead by 8 points.
  21. Yep. Scores level with both sides on 91 but Casey the more accurate with 14.7.91 to Williamstown 13.13.91.
  22. Vander Haar puts Casey in front by 1 point halfway through the final quarter.
  23. Only five points in it as Di Pasquale gets his third.
  24. Seagulls have now scored the last five goals and are 15 points in front.
  25. The game has ebbed and flowed with Casey leading by 15 points at one stage but Williamstown kicked the last three goals of the quarter to lead by 3 points at the final break 76 - 73.
