Jack Jack's 80's 2.0 This guy was voted the greatest artist of all time by Dennis off It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I have no reason to doubt him. This song could almost go into RR's inspirational thread. Jack Jack's 80's 2.1 I think I've got it out of my system for the time being, happy to give it away. We can always revisit at some stage down the track. I like the idea of the themed weeks though, opens it up to other niche genre's.

Rondo was awesome in the last game. But what would it do for his confidence? There's not much more he could do and they still lost? Need more from their big 3. OKC produced the game I was expecting to see a lot earlier. Spurs were a bit ugly though, over 20 turnovers. On the bright side Patty got some minutes?

Flame Trees is one of my all time favourite songs. Love it. I was listening to this song while driving around the other day thinking this could be the theme song for the season (I had MFCSS in full flight). But then I realised I was just focusing solely on the chorus "That's just the way it is, some thing will never change" So I listened to it a few more times and realised there was a much greater meaning to the song, which put things in perspective. Again I caught myself getting enthralled with an NBA match. I could see the battle, what seemed like gladiators going head to head, the cut a thrust of combat. But standing back I could see it for what it's worth, just a game. Anyway, enough of my midweek musings (maybe I should have started this with "Dear Diary"?), bring on the 80's! The Hornets won the draft lottery. MJ would have to be a bit disappointed, for such a terrible season you'd want the reward of No. 1 pick, could be worse I guess, they got the second pick. Washington 3rd, Cleveland 4th, Sacramento 5th. Brooklyn Nets lose their pick, 6th overall, to Portland for the Gerald Wallace trade (It was top 3 protected I think). GSW (Go Bogut) keep their 7th pick. Was traded to Utah but top 7 protected. Just scraped in. Anthony Davis is widely regarded as the most likely no. 1 pick.

My prediction is looking very amateurish (I resemble that!). Happy to be wrong though, Spurs have been awesome (Go Patty, give him some minutes) Draft lottery today. Anyone got the results? When do they get released?

I'm tipping both series in 6 games. I'm hoping the Spurs get through, but I think the OKC will win. Miami over Boston.

Another good doco last week on Sunday Best. American Movie follows a, for want of a better word, eccentric amateur movie maker. The two main characters are larger than life, at times I wondered if it was truly a doco and not some cleverly scripted movie. They also reminded me of Jay & Silent Bob to some degree. Boston got through in one hell of an ugly game. One of those games where defense set the tone. Boston should be a good match up for the Heat (hopefully). A few commentators are calling it a bye for the Heat, but Boston are a proud team, they're gonna put up a fight. Garnett's legs are starting to feel it. The Heat, or should I say LBJ & Wade, were too good for the Pacers. LBJ attacked Granger and made him largely ineffective after drawing so many fouls. Granger's injured ankle probably didn't help the cause much either. The dynamic duo have monstered the last few games, collectively they've scored 197 of the Heat's 321 points in the last 3. They get a few extra days break to wait and see who the go up against in the conference finals. Boston, 76ers and a few beers before noon is the outlook for Sunday.

The Celtics couldn't get it done. They're missing Avery Bradley on the defensive end, not sure if he'll be back this season. That means there's been more pressure on Ray Allen, who's ankle NQR at the moment. They're back in Boston on sunday for game 7. Hopefully the Boston fans can give them the boost they need. Haslem has been suspended for 1 game and Pittman for 3 games. Sounds about right, although the Pattman incident was pretty brutal. Pittman isn't much of a loss to Miami, but Haslem might be, he's had a few good games of late. No game on saturday. I might have to get all my chores done then so I can sit back and relax with a few brewskis and watch sport all day. I can dream can't I?

Sorry pantaloons, I was rooting for them, I hope that wasn't the problem. The stats seemed relatively close save for the offensive rebounds. Something like 3 -14 OKC's way. The big boys just weren't doing their job today.

Kobe is trying his best to drag the Lakers to a win, but the entire suporting cast needs to lift. Quarter time Lakers 21 points, Kobe 6 for 9 and 15 points, the rest of the team 2 for 12 and 6 points. The guy can't do it alone, the rest of the team needs to lift.

The Lakers really let one slip I think. The Thunder had something like a 12-0 run late in the 4th for a great come from behind win. Back to OKC for the 5th game is only going to make it harder for the Lakers. C'mon Kobe you can do it! Great win by the Heat. Lebron just 1 assist short of a triple double. Scored 40 points and 18 or 19 rebounds. And his partner in crime Wade finally came to the party. I think he was only 1 for 8 in the first half but was a different man in the 2nd half and ended up with 30 odd points. Series is levelled. Interesting times ahead.
