And Golden State come up with the series win. Didn't see the game, but Bogut put up good numbers with 14 points 21 rebounds 3 assists and 4 blocks. 100% Superstar, Yup

The point I was trying to make was about first round picks. If our midfield is the glaring problem, why have we spent 3 first round picks, over the last 2 drafts/trades, on key position forwards (Clark, Dawes and Hogan). I'm not saying that they won't be good players for us, but if there's no quality or a lack thereof in the midfield, what's the point of the, potentially, A grade forward line? Maybe a lot of it has just come down to the opportunities presented to us and we haven't been able to get the trades or free agent midfielders we were after. But I find the "It's the midfield" line hard to swallow when half or more of our first round picks have gone on forwards.

If Neeld believes the midfield is holding us back, why has he used 3 first round picks on key position forwards? Most people would appreciate that the game is generally lost and won in the midfield. So why have we stacked up on the forward line?
-
That's hilarious. Nice one. Bill Maher has a few opinions of the US, and he's far from subtle about it.
-
If that's the case, then why has Neeld used 3 first round draft picks to secure key position forwards?

Did we get close to picking a song for the team to run out to? Or maybe we could just get this playing in the coaches box. Jack Jack 5.4 This is just a great song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0laDzqdzoSU

Brooklyn look like losing again. Pretty disappointing stuff. Bobcats sacked their coach a few days agao, I suspect Brooklyn will be doing the same in the not too distant future. A few things I missed from the regular season. Mavs finally got to .500 with a few games left in the season, so Dirk could shave off the beard (I wonder if that's what inspired Watts?) And I maybe Neeld can take something out of the report on the Wizards playing group. (Call me cruel, but I can't stop laughing at the headline)

Who is going to take this club by the throat?
Jack Jack replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
But surely this will come out during the review? What will we get out of any change before the review has been finished, let alone before the interim CEO has set a foot inside the building (Doesn't he start May 1st)? -

CS is no longer in the building. You also believe that the interim CEO was appointed by the AFL. If that's the case, do you believe that anyone will escape his critical review of the club? Don't get me wrong, I'm an advocate of change, but I just don't understand what good would come of sacking the board at this stage. -

NBA League Pass is free for the first few days of the first round. So you can see all the games live or on demand.

Good idea Macca. New York have some injury concerns. As do Denver and Chicago. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Tips (Winners in dark italics) OKC vs Houston San Antonio vs LA Lakers Denver vs Golden State LA Clippers vs Memphis Miami vs Milwaukee New York vs Boston Indiana vs Atlanta Brooklyn vs Chicago Edit: The basketball world moves quickly, 3 coaches gone already. Scott was fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Frank was ousted by the Detroit Pistons and Doug Collins resigned as coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, all three Thursday, a day after the end of the regular season. There's talk about Cleveland being interested in Phil Jackson. Never a dull moment.

I keep forgetting about Mills and the Spurs. Probably because he's seldom got any meaningful minutes for most of the season. I was excited for Mills last season, but with no gametime it's probably put me off a bit. Still, now that we're here, Go Aussie, Go Patty! Bogut and GSW coming up against Denver doesn't look too promising. But GSW look to have a pretty solid team, if Bogut can stay healthy and they could be good for a few years of playoff action. Any news on Nash? Blake has put in some incredible efforts the last few games, but surely Nash would be a cut above. Oh yeah, Harden against OKC. How good will that be. So many great games ahead. The playoffs will be a welcome distraction that for sure.

Bailey had lost control. It was apparent when news was brought forward that the players were dictating training schedules. This was further emphasised by the apparent shock at our fitness levels when Misson came on board. But it still remains that Neeld could have maintained the basic gameplan and slowly added defensive structures instead of throwing everything out and starting again. Whether that would have made any difference, I'm not sure. But it was absolutely time for Bailey to go.

The club's statement may earlier in year, in regard to our involvement with Dank, may have been truthful, but it certainly gives the wrong impression as to our dealings with him. With all we've been through in the last few years, I find it inconceivable that the club would try to deceive the supporters in such a way. And not only that, they've left the club open to another scandal to be played out through the media. As supporters I believe we deserve better.

Lakers win in OT, clinch the 7th seed. First round against the Spurs. Game on.

Pretty incredible day of basketball ahead. Should be great. Carn the Lakers.

And here's a live version of Lead Balloon. I saw Liam at the Sound Relief concert a few years ago. He was doing all this funky loop stuff, dashing from instrument to instrument. Pretty clever bloke really, I wonder where he got it from?

Oh yeah, nice. I might enjoy the sport a bit more if I pay a bit more attention to Ricciardo rather than Webber and his team.
-
Oh well, from the reports he's found a new team. It's just a shame it's not in F1. Do we have any Aussie drivers coming through the ranks or are we in for another long wait?

Jazz, It's Not Dead, It Just Smells Funny - Jack Jack's Jazz

I've been listening to a jazz compilation for most of the day. It's got some great tunes. I had a look on youtube but couldn't find many of the songs. So for anyone with spotify, enjoy. And if you don't have spotify yet, it's well worth getting (It's a free app for pcs, but requires a subscription for mobiles) Jack Jack's Jazz 3.9 Jazz For A Sunday Morning- 153 replies

I'm just chatching up with the news. No one wants to see Kobe go down. He's got such an incredible fighting spirit, it's quite hard to see him so down and disillusioned in his press conferences. But as the great man says himself "If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". I'll half expect to see him come off the bench in the playoffs. Even to see him on the sidelines I'm sure will be a great lift for the team.

Vettel not sorry It doesn't state it in the article, but Vettel mentioned that he had never got any help from Webber. I hope he comes to regret these statements. I don't see how Webber can stay in this hostile environment. His time is running out and he needs to change teams.
