  1. What a crock. Should’ve contested the impact rating, which is categorically incorrect. Would’ve brought it down to one week suspension instead. The next two weeks just got harder. Lions and Swans are two contenders, so losing Kozzie hurts. Hopefully the club is supporting him well and we get his signature soon.
  2. With 5 minutes remaining, Jackson - 11 disposals for 28 metres gained. 5 hit outs. 0 marks. 0 goals. 1 behind. Overrated and we’ve made out like bandits!
  3. Hang on. Kozzies was deemed high impact despite his opponent getting straight up, playing on, and not even requiring a concussion test. But Buddy is medium impact when his opponent was taken from the field under concussion protocols and sat out. Nice one AFL. [censored] me dead
  4. Otherwise. He only had the 4 disposals and got subbed out. The sub rule has changed this year so it is no longer to cover injury, but can be used tactically as desired.
  5. Going by the grading system it was: CONDUCT - Intentional. He lined him up and elected to bump. IMPACT - Low. Smith got straight back up and played out the game without issue. He did not even have a concussion test. This is what has saved Kozzie IMO CONTACT - Body. This is where it gets tricky. If it's deemed to be a body hit, which I believe it was as he got him in the chest and shoulder, then it's deemed body and the sanction is a fine. If it's deemed he got him in the head, the sanction rises to a week. SANCTION - Ignoring it wasn't a good look and taking emotion out of it, going by the tribal grading system, the possible sanctions are a fine or one week. Anything more and it's been judged incorrectly to make a statement.
  6. You ripper! That was a great win considering the four guns missing. Injuries are the only thing that can stop us winning the flag this year. Go Dees!
  7. Fantastic game tonight. Hate the Pies but they’ve been great. Howe will be a loss, but they’ll be a contender this year. Their quick and chaotic ball movement doesn’t allow teams to setup defensive structures. It’s why they beat us and is why they’ve taken up to the best teams. Credit to Mcrae for turning them round in a short time and energizing them with this new style. He’s a good coach.
  8. Frantic pace and great ball movement. This game is the opposite to last nights stinker. Both these teams will be contenders this year.
  9. Ahahahaha What a complete stinker. Draw is the result it deserved.
  10. Both teams trying their hardest not to! Trash footy. If we lose to either of these teams I’ll be disgusted.
  11. Dusty has been an average player post 2020. He’s not in the top 50 players anymore. He doesn’t have the extra gears anymore and just looks to get rid of it like hit potato as he can’t shrug the body contact anymore. Obviously had a great career, but guys like him and Cotchin are basically cactus now.
  12. Was bizarre he lasted until 30 in the draft. He’s a good prospect and won the Morrish medal. Looks like he’ll have a solid career. This game has been trash.
  13. I tried to name him Clayton Oliver but my wife wasn’t having it. She is from a Demon family however so he’s a guaranteed hardcore Demon!
  14. Our members and supporters are phenomenal. We had the 5th highest home attendance and highest attendance vs membership of any club. Numbers back up our supporters being the most loyal and best in the league. The outdated stereotypes about going to the snow or not drawing big crowds are flat out wrong and anyone sprucing them is a liar. Anyone having a go at our members and supporters is a fool. Keep it up Dees fans. We're the best there are!
  15. I have a newborn son, and my train line is undergoing major works, so I won't be attending matches until later this year. TV for me for a few months. My little guy will be decked out in a Demons onesie watching his first game of footy on tv Saturday night.
  16. Spot on there. Families are doing it tough, and spending to attend a footy match and eat overpriced food isn't a must. There's also public transport issues. The Belgrade and Lilydale lines in the eastern suburbs are undergoing major works until late May, and I doubt thousands will cram onto replacement buses and do a longer more expensive journey too.
  17. MFCSS kicking in here. If we’re missing those 4 well struggle to win this opening match. Viney and Salem less of an impact, but Fritsch and May are big losses. That’s our best defender and best forward out. Disco Turner in? Might not have the size yet to handle those big talls of the dogs. Tomlinson in?
  18. After mainly playing VFL practice match last week and now this, you’d assume JVR isn’t playing round 1. BBrown and TMac have held their place.
  19. He’s a Melbourne player until he’s not. Until then we block out the unsubstantiated noise and enjoy watching him play. Leave Kane Cornes to disappear further up his own [censored] and keep shouting into the cavernous wreck.
  20. Defensive flood and bore the opposition to death.
  21. What sort of role is McVee playing down back? Can he be a small lockdown type to quell the Charlie Cameron, Stengle, Papley types? Could he replace Hibberd long term? Hoping he’s not just another rebounder as we’re well stocked for hbfs, but have a clear list gap for small lockdown defenders since Jetta retired and Hibberd is on his last legs.
