  1. Carlton are 14th on the ladder and their midfield is ranked 18th for turning contest into score. Collingwood are top of the ladder and have a drastically better performing midfield. They’re barely comparable at this stage and we’ve really got our work cut out for us this week. I’m expecting a 3 goal loss but would pick this game above all others in the H&A season to win!
  2. Sucks Clarry will miss. With DeGoey and Sidebottom out, it would’ve been a rare opportunity to take control of the midfield. That’s harder now.
  3. Absurd isn’t it. It was a perfect tackle and should’ve been a free kick to Butler. The game is stuffed.
  4. I hate the Pies, but we’re currently their bunnies. Only thing I care about is finally beating them after years of embarrassment. Get it done Dees!
  5. Agree with all you’ve written there and we should structure up differently depending on opponent, ant least trying it throughout the year as we learn a bit more leading up to finals. Our premiership backline had an extra tall though; Petty in place of one of the smalls. That structure works best for us as it helps free Lever to intercept, and our game is based around scoring for defensive turnovers.
  6. True. Last year was a wasted season with the list we had.
  7. No. Still listed as 2-3 weeks in injury report and no mention of him by anyone in media.
  8. Kozzie got two weeks for a similar bump that didn’t injure a player. Degoey has concussed someone. It’s realistically 4 weeks. He’s definitely not playing next week against us at least!
  9. Love Trac, but Moore is captain of the team on top of the ladder. He’s definitely the logical and worthy captain for the AA team at this stage.
  10. Harmes will be our weekly suspension lol
  11. Does my head in every week. Costs us so many shots at goal. If he stayed down instead of flying like an [censored] he’d probably win the Coleman!
  12. We’re in trouble here. This is disgraceful
  13. Wishing Bowey a speedy recovery. He’s been good tonight, one of our few having good games. Copped a few hits there!
  14. When he shaved his head apparently!
  15. Pathetic skill level tonight. Petracca might be the only player in our entire team who is not out of form at this stage.
  16. Just gotta get the four pints tonight. This game is absolute trash. Unbelievable this is modern day AFL with the best athletes and players in the land. The talent pool isn’t big enough it seems.
  17. Worst news I’ve read all week. We’d been maintaining contact in hopes of getting him across in future, so that’s really disappointing to hear. Kid looks like the next Trac. Suns have a gun on their hands. What a waste!
  18. Not announced yet but I’ll take a wild guess and say it’s Jordon.
  19. Moving Petty out of defense was a structural mistake. We had other options for tall forwards, but his absence has been felt in defense. Lever has been forced to play as a traditional man on man key defender instead of a roaming third tall intercepting general. Teams have recognized our structural weakness and exploited it. Our premiership was based off their dominance and one of the statistically one of the stingiest defenses in AFL history. That defensive strength has been removed, so we have one less weapon and one more thing for the opposition to exploit. It’s the main reason why we can beat up on weaker teams, but can’t compete with other top 8 competitors. There’s still time to adjust our gameplan and structure this year though. If we don’t change both structure and gameplan though, we will not win this year.
  20. Yes. That’s why they’re all just litigation rubbish arguing over specific words instead. It’s pathetic.
  21. I couldn’t care less about our game this week. Friday night against Carlton should be exciting, but this is the least excited I’ve felt for an upcoming match since 2019 when we were bottom four. Well probably win against an injured depleted Carlton, but who cares. If we win, big whoop. If we lose, we’re rubbish.
  22. Insane that Cerra got off and the 17 others didn’t. Some with less dangerous tackles too. This season in general has been ****house. Not only has the tribunal and umpiring been poor, but the quality of football and general excitement from watching games has been rock bottom. Can’t remember a less interesting season. Great job AFL.
  23. Salem has returned and took the kick ins. Mays numbers have been inflated from taking the kick ins.
  24. The loyal bloke who didn’t want to leave that we kicked out? Bleeds red and blue and it’s a damn shame he’s running round at another club now.
