I can't but agree. It's literally a fantastic suggestion that we can be meaningful interuptors. Value of such to us ?? imo 0 Learning something about US .. value something greater than 0 We can be positive or negative.

Might I just say its mighty presumptive to suggest ( categorically) that the Weagles might not heave themselves out of the cellar. Their history over recent decades might be considered better than ours !!

Agree. Might well be a front runner but I'm not quite convinced its a slam dunk. My impression is he's interested. Desperate for the job ?? Doubt it. There are any number of things I suspect he can/could do. Has he been sussed out. London to a brick. Was he in a skirting manner sounded earlier in year ? Very Iikely. Were others? Also very likely. Is Bucks on a list of ONE ?? Doubt it. Would folk like Bruce, Daly, others be on the list. ?? If not initially, they are now. Might the Finals impact availability of some personnel ?? Logic suggests a very big 'Maybe' Will they ( club) go through a sham contrivance before announcement? I very much doubt. I don't think anyone involved with letting go Goodwin and appointing successor(s) would want anything other than dealing with this other than with appropriate proprietary. I also think this backs up the suggestion that the timing of all this ; sacking and hiring, requires a month or thereabouts ( plus) so in order to have a result prior to trades etc it mandated the order of things. No one's going to bother with a charade if you were to shut one door and immediately open another. Bucks might be the short priced favourite currently but a hell of a lot of favourites don't win 😉

I write with trepidation as I've no wish to upset or offend. I will say I suspect everything you have said is correct. That is correct to the participants and their perspectives and beliefs. This is pure supposition , but it's my gut feeling , I think Simon was a victim of his own vision. To me it's a bit like when you misplace something. You look, look, re look, retrace , look again and just can't for the life of it see it. Another's eyes walk up.. and presto, from all but right in front of you retrieve said missing article. How ? Different perspective. Tbh we'll never know now how close under Simon's tutelage we might have really come with perseverance. The fact remains what others saw was not what Simon believed. In that it doesn't make Simon wrong, it makes him redundant. This has never really been about right and/or wrong, it's been about success, measured and built upon. Time was called. To my minds eye I can understand that maybe Simon was truly surprised ( ne blindsided) . He might be the only one . To go into that Board Room after THAT capitulation, you surely needed to read the room. I can only presume he didn’t. To not be aware of the gravity of his situation strikes me as bizarre tbh. I don't think anyone has ill-will towards the bloke as a person. I certainly don't and wouldn't thank him and buy him a beer, probably 2 😀 But Im also keen to move on ... and upwards I wish him well. Im sure he'll do just fine.

Tbh whilst I harbour a curiosity for the make-up of the "Coaching Select Panel" or whatever they might like to be called. It doesn't matter ( much to me ) I've no influence over them and wouldn't know anytime soon what I should wield over them even would I could.. Only hope they spend more than 5 mins on this and keep an open mind. I want not just a Coach, I want coaches and a better Football dept. How that's arranged or arrived at; not fussed really. Just get it done and do it well... whoever is so choosing whom. Go Dees

In some respects a person might argue that that thinking is what might have been he final undoing. I.e What he saw/thought didn't marry what others ( in positions of responsibility ) saw/thought. What Simon believed others had stopped.

Very much this. First .. you're in the sights.. Then .. you lock and load ( which ironically is reverse of normality with weapons..but i digress ) Then you wait.. If not needed, stand down. If situation deemed 'defcon' .. pull trigger. Imho.. Goody's future was weighed at end of last season. Became a target as games lost earlier. Once it was decided that we weren't going anywhere fast after wheels fell off again. Meetings were scheduled, phone calls made. And here we are today. Go Dees
What if ..... what if the interview process isn't about the Coach ? ( well head coach per se ) Lots of other positions to fill. So why not do it in plain sight, behind doors, as it were. Move along, nothing to see, well not what you're all thinking .....
