In case you are not aware - alcohol is a drug. A drug which is the second greatest killer of people in Australia after tobacco. It is an offence to be drunk in a public place. As is the serving of alcohol to someone who is intoxicated. Urinating in public is also an offence. He has brought the game into disrepute - the AFL must act on this.
-
The man was using drugs - he was intoxicated in a public place (against the law) - he then broke another law by peeing in public. He has brought the game into disrepute and must be suspended by the AFL.

Have we had any word about what sort of punishment the leadership group decided on? We need him for the Hawks fairly potent forward line.

I have only one in my collection - dated 19 September 1964. Hope I can add to that before I die.

It's good practice when applying for any position to do as much research as possible on other organisations that you would be dealing with if you were offered the position. Makes perfect sense to me. And I've only ever missed out on one position I have applied for here in Tassie - and that was due to political factors - ie I had [censored] off too many Labor politicians by pointing out their shortcomings. Like the AFL they had a strong interest in who was offered the position. Good effort Mac

Current AFL player's one-word analysis of Demon's problems

If Miller was a little bit more selfish and elected to kick long instead of looking to handpass off as his first option I think that might be a good thing Agree with the others though -
So Roos opinion only counts some of the time?

Think Bass and Braddon - two marginals in both Federal and State politics. Howard threw $5 Million at York Park some years ago to enable redevelopment to go ahead - they won Bass that election.

I'd take Dane Swan for pick 4

As a dylan fan i thought that was great - one of the best video clips of all time just made better

Then why is he holding the club to ransom like Yze did a few years ago. If he wants to play hard ball then get the best deal we can for him. No more flapping around on the deck like by-catch.
-
If the price is right move him on - no need for a forward who flaps around on the deck like a landed fish and makes no 2nd efforts

seems to me we should be asking are they 'drug free'.

Another factor in the demise of the drop kick could be the smaller size of the ball used nowadays. I remember listening to an interview many years ago with Thorold Merret (spelling?) who told how the ball manufacturers were making balls smaller than in previous times. The reasoning was that when the captains were choosing the ball before the game the smaller balll would inevitably be chosen because it felt better in the hands. He said the balls being used nowadays (some 20+ years ago at least) were the same size as those used in underage football some years earlier. I try the odd drop kick when playing with my kids - it's much easier to execute one properly with the larger balls than say the size 2 used in U9 footy.

send neitz and robbo off for clean-up operations on their knees - then we can't be accused of tanking.

Sleeve - the snippets I've seen on local TV of W-W he does look good. Looks like he has a nice long kick and likes to get the hard ball. Any further insights as I've yet to see him live?

Can anyone tell me why the game is being played in Nonsenston? Our corrupt govt gets the Gunn's Hawks matches played there at 'Pork Barrel Park' - you think we could at least get this one game against last year's premiers in the State capital.
-
Under the current system we would not have played the Roos who were the best team that year. We should have played the Crows again in the Prelim, instead we played the 'Roos who essentially played their GF in the Prelim and were spent by the time they got to the big game vs the Crows. We came close but not quite. I'm not bitter though.

What more honourable way than to offer to mentor Voss and give him the apprenticeship so many say he needs? If he doesn't agree then he can walk and maintain some semblance of honour by admitting it was time for a change.
