  1. when gc17 in their glorious pink guernsey is the best of the bad options, you know yr in trouble dimma is a winner, the rotten so-and-so
  2. Yeah I think the latter Cos he’s not Rowell or Anderson
  3. Because we are crying out for a midfielder who can hit targets by foot and defend when not in possession He’s what we thought Laurie would become, but Bill can’t kick
  4. A much better resume to be a senior coach than just about anybody else going for the job Clear standout
  5. Gonna be awkward when he has to explain to Kalani why he kung fu kicked his dad in the face 20 years ago
  6. Very happy with this decision
  7. they are, i thought
  8. as in local to perth? sure, but none of darcy or treacy or voss are interestingly, the latter is another former gw$ academy player
  9. given how much vfl they played in a finals side - and how often they were listed in the best players - i think it says volumes that neither of laurie or billings were in the squad of 40
  10. we tried for him before he did his acl a few years back he's the pear's #1 forward no way they let him go cheap
  11. is there any actual rumour re amiss or is this just demonland wishful thinking? i am curious as to what flagmantle are going to do - i personally don't think they can go into 2026 with all of jackson, darcy, treacy, voss, and amiss as part of their ruck + tall forward structure not to mention that reidy has already declared he wants to go to the baggers, while they have another couple of ruck / forward options on their list as well if dogga and darcy are staying, then something else has to give in that set-up
  12. i can't tell if yr advocating for his taking the taswegian franchise gig or not with the last comment? most second year coaches don't succeed either, let alone those who never won a premiership at their first club feels like this should have been in the 'who will be our next coach?' thread given that it's all about whether buckley should...take the job?
  13. i agree fwiw i don't see henderson ever being a contributor at afl level - hope i'm wrong and he turns into a mature age star! - and i presumed he would not earn another contract
  14. henderson plays a different role - we've just lost spargo, who is a similar style of player
  15. if the quality of this draft is as suspect as the judges make it seem, mcvee is probably a better player after three years of senior footy than any player who becomes pick #11 will be
  16. i'd take her over buckley
  17. other than the media adoring him and that he stopped our dog running away from mrs ww one freezing cold night at toorak park, i really don't see the appeal of buckley he has no experience, really, outside the filth and media his only previous other afl club experience was back in 1993 in his first year as a player at the bears under robert walls other than that he's been coached by: matthews (two years) shaw (four years) malthouse (rest of his career until end 2007) he then worked in the media for a year, and then was at the filth as an assistant for two years and senior for nine and a half, before getting sacked media for four seasons since that's a lot of 'comfort zone' with a plethora of individual accolades and no ultimate team success
  18. get daisy pearce
  19. + laverde who wants to go to gw$
  20. @bluey is the original hanrahan with full blown mfcss - we'll all be rooned cos when things are glum there's worse to come!
  21. casey would be premiership favourites
  22. sestan was injured for a long period of time while pup brown is unfortunately one of the worst kicks of a football to be on an afl list
  23. play a home game in front of less than 10k in the alice and yr average comes tumbling down... i think in terms of importance it's the membership revenue $$ >> % of home attendance : membership #s >> actual membership #s
  24. deservedly so
  25. the medja are convinced that it's going to be MORE generous
