  1. afl saying 'see, you need a roof in tassie' to cope with the weather except it doesn't rain; it's just freezing cold
  2. Changkuoth Jiath
  3. feels like a match-winning lead as starc brings up his 50
  4. fabulous chase down tackle by worrall crom need to kick a goal or three for all their dominance
  5. i didn't think plugger mac was selected in the mfc side? perhaps he's traveling to radelayed as an emergency
  6. sparrow is playing the defensive forward role; sometimes he does it very well and then other times - like vs jaicos on daniher's day - he gets taken to the cleaners his effort to put pressure on his paramount, but when the game is tight he really doesn't impact enough
  7. i think that approach went away a few seasons back
  8. could dingley vs the crom in tassie beat that this evening?
  9. i was only considering the talls
  10. they've clearly determined that he can play that small / forward combo roll down back, sort of like hibberd personally i don't see howes having the impact in the air or via his boot that i would like to see from this sort of player at vfl level he looks so composed and assured; yet to translate to afl level
  11. wight + prymke + neitz back, schwarz + lyon + jakovich forward
  12. he was completely gassed midway thru the 3rd; i thought he should have been subbed but i suppose he was at least in theory there to apply defensive pressure in the forward half
  13. the likes of whately or other commentators who keep calling him a 'small forward' clearly don't watch us play pickett is tracking to be the next dangerfield, martin, petracca - a midfielder who can go forward and impact scoreboard sure, it's taken him until the year in which he turns 24 when the likes of danger or neck tatts or trac were playing as pure mids, but make no mistake - koz is tracking to be as impactful as those guys, or the likes of jordan dawson or cameron rayner in short, he's a match-winner and a game-changer
  14. no, i thought the reports were that darcy's previous contract was around $700k and his current contract was around $1m a year i mean...who knows ultimately yes, that has been the rumour that has been going around pretty full on
  15. it will be interesting to see what they get for him given his propensity for injury, poor form, and presumably significant salary
  16. yeah his article and assumptions etc. were fine, albeit the notion of a 'tight' salary cap in the afl isn't a thing
  17. i love that the likes of michael gleeson say this there is NO SUCH THING as a 'tight' salary cap in the afl because it is a hard cap; teams must spend 100% of the cap over, from memory, a rolling 6 year period the lowest a club can pay per annum towards their salary cap is - or was - 92.5% and the highest was 110% per year it's not like the nba or what have you where the cap is $156m but the likes of the washington wizards choose to pay 71% of the cap while the golden state warriors choose to pay 130% of the cap and, effectively, pay more than that as they cop a 1:1 'tax' on top of the extra salary that they pay what is called the luxury tax
  18. he'd be lachie whitfield
  19. i'd be tipping: dogs crom? bears? puddy tatts flagmantle them? baggers obviously i'd love it if we could flip our result, as well as if meth coke, kangas, and meth coke could all get up
  20. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1341745 deal happened...in fremantle love it
  21. so harley as ceo in waiting and pridham likely to be the new chairman bloods' culture...
  22. he's such a moron
  23. we actually don't in comparison with other clubs jake niall's series of articles for ninefax about the heavy hitters and big money movers and shakers at other clubs as well as ours was eye-opening - our supporters don't stay wealthy by giving away their money compared to the likes of peptides, the filth, or even footscray, let alone the baggers
  24. billy stretch was another player whose application of effort to the 'little things' was superb i think that it's fair to say it requires more than just that to convert the desire and want to be an afl player to actually, well, actually making it as an afl player
  25. another player that was never the same after moving to flagmantle
