  1. szybkowski with a big bomb from 50 for a goal this is very much the case at this stage jefferson showing a lot as the primary forward
  2. shocking kick from howes gives up a goal coming out of d50
  3. jefferson fantastic work to bust thru a tackle, burn off his oppo....and sprayed the shot
  4. jefferson busy i50 but his field kicking has twice let him down - checkside on the right cos he's got no left foot was particularly poor
  5. pretty sure he's billeted with tholstrup, at a director's house hopefully he debuts soon not gonna help the complete lack of midfield depth at casey tho
  6. are any of them drafted to an interstate club playing this weekend?
  7. literally got drafted three days ago, from wa - has he even moved across yet? tholstrup loves a tackle; means he's second to the ball a lot
  8. wind pushing it right to left something chronic
  9. el jeffe hits the scoreboard early lovely set shot
  10. essentially what cal seems to be saying here is that petracca is a superstar no matter where he plays? captain obvious called! this whole 'we should play trac forward all the time' theory is NEVER going to happen; he's one of the most dynamic players in the game, and he goes where he's needed at any time, be that running thru the midfield or stationed forward he's a gun, and one of the most 'personable' players in the competition to boot
  11. yet i STILL can't get thru their lobby when i try and buy tickets
  12. confirmed ruled out concussed? they've said nothing on c7 commentary as yet
  13. i thought they boo'd o'donnell cos him being a dark hair tall bloke marking it
  14. not obeying the 'stand' by the maggot, moving off the mark, and encroaching the 5m zone all there so far except for darcy failing to maim maynard which should have been reversed
  15. sam darcy absolutely ironed out maynard BUT HE STILL GOT UP no brain to rattle in the skull?
  16. not according to our football club, clearly i personally think they are maximising the opportunities now while still prepping for the future also, hawks and tigs both tried to rebuild on the fly, as geelong did throughout the 2010s, and they have failed miserably and bottomed out / look set to bottom out
  17. it took geelong 11 years to get back to a premiership, from 2011 to 2022 the whole time they were there, thereabouts, including a grand final appearance in 2020 i would love another one sooner rather than later, but that 'geelong model' of constantly competing seems to be what we want to be
  18. i think disco was 6 months initially as well?
  19. 6 according to earlier reports
  20. he's already on that, so to sign him up given the expected salary cap rise i think you can safely assume over $1m on a renegotiated deal aints would rightly demand two first round picks, i'd expect personally i'm not a huge fan of him - he seems to have one thing he does really well, which is to be tall
  21. had a friend who worked there for years they've done a pretty job of engaging the pacific islander base, as @No. 31 said but for the most part they're completely anonymous in melbourne from an engagement and junior development perspective rugby australia has a lot to answer for - how that sport has squandered its success in the 90s and 00s is extraordinary
  22. they had the most senior umpires in place, and for the most part they were a little bit hotter on holding the ball, but it wasn't a huge difference
  23. i don't understand that apathy towards stafford at all as forwards coach he has seen multiple players turned into key forwards, players develop to ability the go into the ruck as pinch-hitters, and fritsch has become the best medium forward in the game, with pickett one of the top five or so small forwards that's a pretty great resume i would've thought
  24. unbelievable that they get a 10 day break after a game in adelaide whereas the peptides will be coming off a standard 7 day week after the humidity of playing gc17 up there they're trying to turn 'king's birthday eve' into a thing the way we and the tigs have turned 'anzac day eve' into a thing
  25. not many just-turned-21-year-olds who're used to do media coverage https://pca.st/xutg7eso kid screams as a future leader of the club imo
