Lucky I only put part of my wallet on it, and covered the loss with the other part. Main card was a fizzer yet again, haven't seen the FX prelims as I was in transit, the Facebook prelims were good, and onya Kyle Noke. I waited for the Vitor flurry that never came, pulling guard almost worked so I can't really question the game plan, but when your major weapon is blasting people across a cage, should probably use it.

Jack Watts
Quite ironic then that the only pivotal contest Jack has won was against Jobe in the dying minutes of our only true win this season.

Vitor will win, I put my wallet on it. The UFC is struggling, too many injuries ruining the few good fights and too many fighters hand picking their own fights. Pay them well and make them fight who you tell them to, enough of this pick and choose rubbish. Bones is a rubbish bloke, I hope he gets seriously injured. Rashad was right all along. Spewing that Aldo v Edgar and Rampage v Glover are now cancelled. So frustrating.

Not sure whether I'm happy because I hate Djokovic, or unhappy because I hate Murray. I'll just go about my life happily hating stuff I guess.

This newest season of Breaking Bad is the bomb, yo! Seriously good viewing, the latest episode was intense. The character development in the show is incredible, unless they f... up the ending, it'll go down as my all time favourite show. There's a break after next weeks episode... boooooooooooooooooo

I think I would've enjoyed the main event had the rest of the card not put me in the worst mood ever. What a pile of garbage. Not surprised if your old man is lost to it, that was enough to turn anyone off.

Did anyone watch Weidman v Munoz? Read on if you did Some very good fights on this card, one of the prelims, Craig vs Natal was just crazy, great fight, great comeback win, it's a shame it wasn't a main card fight. Te Huna, what an effin' beast. Like a 205lb Overeem. Credit to Beltran for being made of bricks, no wonder he could hang with heavywheights. Loving Te Huna's work, reckon it should be Te Huna v Gustaffson II for a title shot. I think I made a comment somewhere in this thread about Weidman being a future title holder, think I finally got something right! This kid has all the tools, stand up is good, BJJ is outstanding as is his wrasslin', strength and ground and pound are brutal. Chael should take some notes. A complete domination of a very good opponent, then one of the coolest elbows I've ever seen and maybe the most brutal late stoppage I've seen. Nice.

Desperate times call for desperate [censored] to go to desperate measures. You could tell as soon as Anderson stopped the first takedown, his shoulders and whole demeanour changed, got relaxed and into the zone. If Chael was clean in this fight, there was no way he'd have the strength and stamina to keep taking Anderson down for 5 rounds. (A lot of people forget/forgot how good Silva's takedown defence is, and how having the testosterone of 17 men is not just illegal, it's illegal because it makes you insanely strong). I think Chael realised that once Anderson stuffed the early 2nd round attempts, then he felt how hard those strikes are (that look like nothing) and started to panic, and threw that backfist. If that backfist did connect, probably would've knocked Silva clean out, the idiot put everything into that, only Anderson could casually duck that and make you look like more of a tool than you already are. Then the almost illegal knee from heaven, how sweet it was. I've read people saying he tried to or did throw an illegal strike, yeah, the most accurate striker in history accidentally missed the head and luckily hit the chest, lolz. I wish it went for longer, but in the end it was the most satisfying UFC win I've ever enjoyed. Good on Chael for building it up to that level. I was glad Forest won, but then he pulled that lame [censored] at the end and lost me. They're both a couple of knobs. I'm kinda sad to see such a villain go in Tito. Then again he mentioned his surgeries another 47 times after the fight, so he can [censored] off. Hey, did you know Tito had surgery?? Glad Cung Le won, give him Anderson in China, Bruce Lee would love it! The body shot on that hillbilly freak Cody McKenzie was the 2nd best highlight of the night. I agree though, apart from the excitement of the main event, the card was a bit of a yawn, prelims were boring too.

Movies/DVD's
It's Hesher, but yes it's a great movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of the best actors going around. Tom Hardy's performance in Bronson is also fantastic. Weird movie, true story too! 50/50 is pretty good. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan. It's about cancer. Super. A different super hero movie. I Saw The Devil. For foreign cinema fans, Korean, bloody violent and intense. If you've seen Oldboy (if you haven't you're missing a classic) you'll probably like this. Some documentaries worth checking out: A Noble Lie - Oklahoma City 1995. About the bombing obviously, just unbelievable what that government covers up. Talhotblond. Cyber world dating, lies and murder, oh my! Paradise Lost 3. The 3rd instalment in the West Memphis 3 story, probably only need to watch this one if you can't be bothered with the first 2, disturbing stuff. Project Nim. About a chimp raised as a human. Would appreciate any other doco recommendations.

That was a short and sweet main card. On the night everyone I wanted to win did win except Mayhem. It's a shame Mayhem went in injured, he would've easily beaten that boring hack. UFC is probably just too professional for Mayhem, I've seen him dominate fights, we didn't see the real Mayhem Miller in the UFC, oh well. Always liked Hardy, was glad to see him win and do it in style. He's fun to watch in and out of the cage. Looks to have added some new dimensions that he badly needed. Loved the Miocic v Del Rosario fight, good back and forth, killer instinct finish. Struve! Love this guy. As soon as he backed up I thought oh sh/t, here we go again. Then pulls out a sick arm bar, I think he's a genius. BIg Roy Nelson never disappoints. Chuck Liddell called, he wants his right arm back. That was a huge blow. Will be interesting to see who he gets next. He wants Lesnar lol. The beast is back. What a bloody mess that was. Velasquez is a killer, would live to see him and JDS both at their best, would be huge. I'd still go JDS, sprawl and brawl might be too good. JDS, boy did he make Mir look second rate, slow and clumsy. He was just toying with Mir. I called that Mir would dive straight for a foot, almost nabbed it, then it was all over. JDS is a true champion, great bloke, animal in the octagon, love it. I'll take Kampmann next week, well I want him to win, not too sure he will though. Can't wait for Faber v Barao, Faber doesn't quit and Barao is brutal. Could get ugly.

What a card this is! Can't wait. JDS via TKO first round Velasquez Herman via decision (but I'll be going for Big Country) I just heard Mark Hunt is out and Lavar Johnson is in against Struve, spewing! Lavar via murder, but I'll be hoping Struve pulls one of his trademark comebacks. Mayhem by rear naked choke. Hardy by decision. Spewing about Mark Hunt... Hopefully sets up a bout with Lavar Johnson if he wins.

Late response, been in hospital for 4 weeks, intensive care for 3 of them, but that's another story... Pretty much agree with all you said there, except I was hoping for Evans to land a bomb like I've never hoped before. You're right, didn't mix it up. Didn't attack enough simply. I'm not sure why someone explosive doesn't rush and back up Jones, Vitor style. Jones hasn't displayed knock out power, so what are they afraid of? Rory Mc is frightening. Will rule that division. Loved the Hommonick / Yagin fight. I preferred the 2 fight nights either side of 145, some great fights amongst them. Nate Diaz looks like the real deal. Easy to hate, it's entertaining and good for the sport. How weird would Diaz v Edgar be? Sad to see Pat Barry lose again, Johnson is a brute. Gustafsson is my new great hope at LHW. Would love to see him v Jones, maybe it can be arranged when Hendo KO's Jones. There were a few great fights but I can't remember who was in them. I think there's a card tomorrow?

Maynard is OGD. So Overeem tested positive. There's a surprise, pause, not. Just when I thought this weeks sports news couldn't get any worse. Not that I care about him, I care that the sport is full of these cheating, loser scumbags. And I won't get to see JDS knock him the fark back to Amsterdam. Clean it up, start banning them for life. No exceptions.

Ben Cousins arrested on drug charges
I'm not judging anyone, I just have no sympathy for him. He brought it on himself. As for me, I wish kicking a drug addiction was my biggest problem. I've been around drugs my whole life, I hang around with musicians. One of my closest friends is a recovering addict. 6 years ago I was watching us get destroyed by St Kilda when I got a text message telling me my best friend was dead from an overdose. She was 24. I loved her, still do, but I she and I knew it was her own stupid fault for getting into it. I understand drug culture, I have no sympathy for those who create their own problems.

Ben Cousins arrested on drug charges
How did Ben's problem start? Was it being homeless and alone? Was it the abusive parents that drove him to drugs? Was it the hard life, working in a factory all day, struggling to make ends meet? Was it... Hang on, he's had a privaliged life, good parents, money, physically gifted and a dream career. His 'problem' is that he's a party boy. He likes to party and do drugs. If anyone thinks that's a problem worthy of sympathy, well maybe you need to meet some people with real problems.

Apparently Kyle Noke did his knee early on, that explains a lot! Top effort to keep fighting regardless.

Sydney. Well the McCall / Johnson decision was a joke, and has been announced that it was a mistake and was meant to be a draw. I love this sport, but come on, when will amateur hour be over? It's about time people started losing their jobs over mistakes like these, then maybe they'll stop happening. McCall won in my opinion. There will be a rematch. The good: Hippo Perosh! Is there a fighter that makes you laugh when you see he's won more than this guy? I mean he's a big goon who looks like he'll help you in the whitegoods department in Harvey Norman, then he somehow gets you on the floor, chokes you or pounds the shoit out of your face. Good on him! Love it. If Jones thinks he could handle it, give him a shot at the Hippo. James Te Huna (or according to Chael, Tuna). Holy mother of New Zealand, this guy is vicious! That was just brutal McFlurry action. I'm surprised there's not more of a hype machine behind this kid, he's been very impressive, an unlucky loss against Gustafsson who I rate very highly, Te Huna even looked good in that fight. Hope he gets someone big, Shogun, Machida, Hendo... Maybe Bader? I can see that happening. Hitman Kampmann. Another week another epic comeback. I like this guy, I have no idea how he managed to win this. The slick submissions, can't remember the names but their was some great BJJ on display. The Bad: Noke: Yuck. Sloppy Joe. Looked good for 3 minutes, looked horrible for the last 12. Alves. Why oh why would you go for the takedown? Where's the Pitbull? Going for the points instead of the killer finish and he paid for it. So stupid. Having Chael in the studio crossed. The man needs to be in an institution, not on my TV.

The multi was huge, 200-1, forgot to mention Bader was in it too, it was a last minute, last 10 dollars bet, had a crack at some likely underdogs. I thought Sexyama was the surest bet out of the lot. goddamnit

Agree with all you said man. I thought Henderson would win, but was in Edgar's corner hoping like hell he'd have another answer. But he just didn't have enough power to trouble Henderson and that became frustrating to watch. Edgar was doing well, but once in a while my spider senses go off and I saw that up-kick coming way before it happened. That was big. In a way I'm glad Henderson won, I've taken to disliking him, I'll just say it, it's the thanking his saviour BS. Spare me, or should I say save me. So now I get to cheer on whoever takes him and jesus for the belt. Another Pettis highlight would be nice. Dana White reckons Edgar won, I mean come on, it was a great fight, but Henderson clearly took it. I wanna see Aldo v Edgar, but all I see is Aldo destroying Frankie. He's fought and destroyed quicker fighters than Frankie. And good luck catching Aldo kicks. Rampage should hang em up. Will he stick around for a chance to belt Rich Franklin after recent comments? I wouldn't mind that. The Boetsch comeback was awesome, although he was never really half out of it like a Kongo or Edgar, there's always a chance to turn things around. But yeah, he was dominated for 2 then went to work. Those uppercuts like he was fixing a sink were nuts. Loved Aussie Hunt's big win! Hioki looked excellent. I had a Boetsch, Hunt, Henderson multibet on... but the losing leg? Jake f.....g Shields. Are you joking, how does this clown ever win. He's garbage. Surely I'm being punked.

And now there is no rematch because blazin' Diaz copped a 12 month ban for smokin the ganj'. The drama never ends with this fool, although, this could well be the end of him in the UFC.
