I would, but then again I’ve never truly warmed to Goodwin. I think Goodwin has potential to be a much better coach but he is now behind on how the game needs to be played and has not rectified any of it. But in saying that I’m sure DIMMA probably has flaws like that too, I’m just not seeing them cos the grass is always greener on the other side 😂

And as I said to the cats supporters around me if they built a proper size stadium they would get finals there. But since they decided to add on only a tiny amount of seats for a ridiculous amount of money instead or razing it to the ground and building a 60-70k seater enjoy the home finals in Melbourne.

It’s not that it’s a bad thing, but I’d rather back ourselves to make the top 4n merit and by the fact that we are playing good football. Essendon losing means less pressure on the players and I think more pressure might help them get going. The reason I want a Freo to lose is cos I do want a better pick in what’s a shallow draft for talent they believe to be top 10 and I reeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyyyyy want Peter Bell to cop [censored] for the trade, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem likely.

It’s the way I’m looking at it. But the idea of Bell failing badly makes me want a Freo loss each and every week!

We are in the now but aren’t performing like a genuine now yeah and a low pick from Freo might give us a good kid who does come in ect year and perform. Look at how some top 10 picks are playing across the league. Sheezel would slot in nicely to our team.

Well I want a better pick so I want every team to beat Freo. I don’t care about those around us. If we are good enough we make the top 4 on our merit. Maybe having to scrap for a top four might get us actually going.

I did a heap of hammies and some really bad ones, but after 5 weeks there should be little soreness unless you have nigh on torn it off the bone or it’s tendon related. (This is only my experience, I ain’t no doc/pyshio etc etc)

Well we better get a new plan cos it’s being exploited and Clarrie has said his hammy is still sore.

Clarrie clears the contests with the first disposal which makes us look quick and move it quick. Sparrow does it occasionally, Trac too but Clarrie does it a lot.

Things can change quickly, but they can easily stay in the same. Most would know I’m not a big Goodwin fan and most def not a Stafford fan. He should have been replaced last year. Goodwin is stubborn to a fault and makes some baffling decisions, but then will put it all together and blow you away. I don’t think we are that far away, but I don’t know if we will get much better than we have been all year. I don’t see us actually being a genuine flag threat as things stand and how they have been most if the year. We are no longer ruthless, we have gone back to wanting the 1 meter handball instead of protecting the player with the ball and we have lost that edge. No one fears us, but we fear others.

Got home too late to post, Goodwin and co made this game harder to win at selection. Petty was so far from ready it was ridiculous. Spargo as sub… um what? To the game, it is easily summed up. When it was there to be won they played fast slick football and we fumbled. twice in the last (and heaps through out the game) we had the chance to shepherd the player with the ball in hand and instead wanted the two meter handball and we fumbled it. The pressure rose and we wilted like a flower in the desert. Took no note of how to nullify Stewart and how he wasn’t smashed after pushing Viney over when clearly injured shows exactly what sort of mentality the players have. Of that was any other player Viney would have been at them. As things stand we are a 4th-8th team but unless we change quite a few things, we don’t look like a true contender.

Not a very versatile sub.

I agree, but he hasn’t played in how long? And what has been said is he was going to come back and play forward again. Im hoping it’s all a ruse. I think Petty needs to play VFL to get match fit.

Outside of Petty not playing in how long? My biggest shake of the head is our backline hasn’t looked or performed this well in a long time since Thommo came back in. I think we are now meddling with things that ought not be meddled with.

I’ll wait to see the teams named before thinking this could be the dumbest selection in MFC history…

Cool, so our schedule will be week one Perth vs WC, home vs a Vic club, away vs Brisbane, off to SA for a home game, then away to Perth to play Freo followed by a Alice home game

Suns are losing so much percentage they will drop under Freo if they don’t steady the sinking ship.

These umps either have money on the saints or Freo to make the 8 cos this is putrid. But tigers doing enough to shunt Freo down further!
