Trac, time to play angry ?
Agree, Viney needs to realise that he has other weapons than straight ahead and Trac should use his size to move players out of the way, doesn’t have to be aggressive, just smart and realise his size vs theirs.
-
Trac, time to play angry ?
Yeah he will when required but in a 50/50 option he will try and grab and evade where as Viney would grab and barrel through. If he did he would probably get suspended often for executing it poorly.

Trac, time to play angry ?
Petracca’s size is never going to be used that way, he is too much a basketballer where it’s evasion not collision. If he was the build of Pendlebury we wouldn’t be saying this, but he isn’t but he has the same physical aggression as Pendles, will go the ball but crashing people ain’t his go.

Best 22 of Traded Players
I grew up playing with Bish and what he did at local and rep footy was insane. Good solid player, was shattered when he left.

More just super amused at people’s ability to look past reality and stay positive.

Max Gawn shanks left - AGAIN
Nah, we don’t practice proper techniques at training, just a bunch of blokes having pot shots at the sticks cos in game it’s so different that it’s not even worth trying. Hence we rule at goal kicking and lesser players like Dunstall who trained goal kicking every session we’re so so poor.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Really glad we didnt coach our players during the “goal kicking” at training this week, it helped heaps!

The Line Coaches
Why worry about the forwards? The biggest problem is the midfield who over handball, stuff around with it then bomb it in long to anywhere in the f50, anywhere would do.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
We are putrid. We handball so much we kill any moment. So many dumb options taken.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
And then Viney turns the dumb handball option up a notch.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood

Opposition Accuracy is Killing Us
If we kicked straight ourselves and forced scoreboard pressure onto opposition then that also would make a factor to how well they are scoring.

Training - Wednesday 5th June, 2019
So be the first. We bloody need it, our goal kicking from our actual forwards is putrid.

Training - Wednesday 5th June, 2019
Of course it has it limits, but you have a sound routine and that fails on game day then you aren’t up to it. Id rather them actually have a goal kicking coach that gives them a sound routine they practice weekly than just throwing the foot at the ball Petracca style and see how it goes on game day.

Training - Wednesday 5th June, 2019
And golfers have professional help during practice to ensure correct technique, like many sports, just not MFC and their love of 1.8 qtrs

Training - Wednesday 5th June, 2019
Sure you can, but as the greats have said (Dunstall being a main one) what you practice is what you revert to in game. Otherwise why train anything ever.

Too Empathetic?
You would hope that the leaders got the club together post game and when back at training and made a point of all the misses this year and the fact we have been [censored] and take it upon themselves to actually train their set shots every single bloody session. We have kicked so many more points than goals for the last few years. And it’s cost us multiple games. But I don’t expect anything smart from this club anymore.

AFL fixing the problem.
Sure the free kicks can matter, but if you kick 1.8 in a qtr when you have the lead, and it has been a trend for years where we kick more points than goals. Easy to blame umps and AFL. Good teams win, good teams don’t regularly give up leads, good teams bury opponents, good teams have leaders who turn games, good teams have coaches who influence games, good teams don’t worry about umps. How many of those boxes have we ticked in the last 5, 10, 15 years... Id rather worry about things we should be changing than what the filth do/get
