  1. Happy birthday Roy!
  2. I'm sick of this crud they keep trotting out. They are a club with 100,000 members and were just part of an 83,000 game on Monday. Marvel is not easy to get to but seriously how hard is it to get your butt on a train and wait on it a bit longer than you usually would? It goes right there! Tigers at home, pussycats abroad.
  3. Can't concentrate anymore, see you all at the pub.
  4. I CANNOT wait for the podcast tonight! 😃
  5. Ladies and gentlemen, your Melbourne Football Club...
  6. Can't wait to play this mob either. This and the gameday thread will be out of control!
  7. Who's ready to enjoy the footy season now? 😃
  8. Kozzie is floating on air about it too!
  9. I've never been prouder of this footy club, keeping a list together let alone a successful list is no mean feat. In the past there was always that one or two that had to be sacrificed when we thought we had something building. For the first time ever we have literally lined up all our crucial ducks in a row and got them locked away for years to come. This is an extremely rare position to be in and I can't thank Lamb and co enough for the brilliant work they do behind the scenes to make it happen. Drink it all in people!
  10. The Volkaneo is erupting somewhere!
  11. Break out the crates of champagne it's celebration time!
  12. When it comes to teams playing fast against us and using the play-on handball run option to catch us out of position and force more ground balls, what is the best way to combat this as a team that has our own system and strategy dialled in? Is it something that when we sense the opposition is taking this route that we can play a bit more compact? Ie. Squeeze our numbers in more and close the holes through the middle? It’s not a fix but at least if executed quickly enough it forces the opposition to take the longer paths to the outside and give us that bit more time to setup defensively. I understand this is a simplistic way of looking at it but it just seems that currently when teams are doing this to good effect we end up getting sliced through the middle repeatedly. What are some other ways to combat this?
  13. If team selection had a 'live ladder' is Kade Chandler currently ahead of Charlie Spargo?
  14. Why I never thought of that is beyond me.
  15. Thought Noah Anderson was sensational yesterday. The cream rising to the top there and he can do some damage, I'd be more wary of him than Rowell in this game.
  16. Cheers whatwhat. Makes sense. From the very limited amount I saw it did look like T-mac moved better this week. Woey with the 2 goals is encouraging, maybe a HBF type that can push up?
  17. Yeah I always need a #5 in the repertoire. The one I have currently was from Trac's second season but homage to Ox.
  18. Excellent stuff Joeboy
  19. Some great input here from DD and Wheelo. Scores from turnover were the theme all gane and if we're getting these we're usually at our best.
  20. Remember in 98 we lost to Geelong by 95 then St Kilda by 85 the week after? Or in 2000 when Carlton got us by 98 points? It's been a while since we've been given a good hiding.
  21. A down game by Dunstan's standards?
  22. Probably my first season that I remember clearly. Seemed to promise so much especially with that brilliant win over the Immortal Hawks but delivered little.
  23. Were we a better team than Collingwood that year Macca? First answer that comes to mind!
  24. I'm good for calendars cheers!
