  1. Pretty ridiculous but great for the mother of two kids playing for different teams or even the mother (Not as die hard as yourself WCW) who has two sons who barrack for two different teams and just wants everyone to have a good time! My first encounter with something like this was in 2000 when I went to watch a Sandringham game against St Kilda's then stand alone VFL side at Beach Rd. I remember the late Trevor Barker's father there wearing a half St Kilda half Sandy jumper and I just remember thinking that was the best and sweetest thing ever.
  2. This is the stone cold truth. While Essendon's playing style and delivery does suit him a bit better and his confidence has grown, I don't see dramatic improvement there.
  3. Good teams produce reasonable ex players.
  4. The game itself was average and a lot of people thought we were very poor. From my point of view there were some key things: - We are missing key personnel from our structures - We are clearly a bit down on confidence when it comes to execution and skill levels - We are possibly increasing training loads and/or general fatigue has set in at this point in the season. On the other side of the coin Carlton are going through many of the same things and for this reason I watched it with full expectation of a tight, scrappy, low scoring struggle with not too much fuss about perfect skills. I thought we did a lot of things well in this game, pressure levels were great, won clearances and smashed inside 50s. Do you guys think the comments about this being a pathetic performance are harsh?
  5. Feet leave the ground and you pay the penalty. That's the way it is.
  6. Good job Gold Coast, coming of age.
  7. Business is good
  8. I think this is now going a bit far. There are people on the footy boards now just sitting back and not saying anything at all, happy to not add anything to the conversation but repeatedly urinating over posts with facepalms. It's becoming a form of baiting and when people call it out they end up getting their posts deleted or worse. I know that these are simply reactions and people should not let it get to them, but it has become a pointscoring thing to smear someone in public and I'm not the only one who this is driving nuts. I come to DL to get away from the high school popularity contest that Facebook is, this kind of stuff is making DL feel a lot like that to be honest.
  9. We can be better but we did some things right
  10. Are you saying we'll beat Collingwood 4-1 on KB AF? 😁
  11. He's kicked his form into hypergear
  12. AFL app has Cripps as Carlton's best. Did anyone else think he was garbage?
  13. Smith's efforts were really good
  14. We did many things very well and much better than Carlton. Carlton's see ball get ball midfield was no match even without Oliver.
  15. If it was champagne football every week then champagne would be boring. Sometimes you just need old fashioned tomato juice football
  16. They're like a world class ship with a really bad rudder
  17. That's probably true. Just wasn't an easy night for the opportunity forwards.
  18. Sometimes I wish he'd just get front and square instead of trying go fly like Superman.
  19. We were getting a lot more of that high press again and our defenders taking intercept marks outside our forward 50 again. Was good to see.
  20. Not related but Cox gets a lot of credit for being a big American and having his parents come over every time there's a special occasion.
  21. We got plenty to work on no doubt but I was happy with the way we went about this game intensity and pressure wise.
  22. I wanted an ugly win more than a beautiful football win
  23. Glad we're on the same page
  24. Yeah why did they do that? Was all over the screen
  25. He definitely did better than I thought he would.
