  1. Trololololol!
  2. This reminds me of being at the footy last year with my friend and his 8 y.o son who said "Why are Sydney so smart kicking into the 50 and Melbourne are so dumb?"
  3. I've had enough of these people in the media who think they know what they're talking about.
  4. Took me a little time. You could write a Where's Wally book of MFCSS incidents 😀
  5. One of the most stupid nicknames ever.
  6. Just like in driving. We see plenty of left turns, good uses of the indicators etc but if you drive recklessly in the wet and crash then it's your fault. Maynard drove like a lunatic and has stuffed up.
  7. When Hibbo and Lewis came to the club they showed others the acts it took to make it to finals. Forever grateful.
  8. Honestly Jaded, I love going to the footy from March to September but I do like the off season and a chance to give back to those who support my passion. It may not go down well with the people who would love footy 52 weeks a year but that's how I do it. And yeah media blackout and a trip to Mars this week.
  9. The landscape for people's thinking needs to shift too. Enough of this garbage about "If this is how it is then the game is stuffed" talk. People need to grow up and smell the coffee. It's like those air heads that say what Tom Morris said last year was how people talk and how "If the public heard how they talked in private they'd be stuffed" let's raise the standards a bit. What got us here won't get us there.
  10. Since Thursday night I was honestly thinking the same thing. I just thought this time might be different and we could go straight through to a prelim and do something else next week. I love going to the footy but that doesn't mean it's always easy. Having said that I'll obviously be there. Ready to do it all again! (Someone tranquilise me)
  11. Absolutely 100% nail on head.
  12. This is the worst Sunday night I've had in a very long time..
  13. It's like a riot where police stand by as looters take what they want.
  14. Real eyes realise real lies.
  15. It's kind of funny how the answer is to go into the future with a 31+ y.o sole ruckman. Not wrong, just funny.
  16. No surprises there and another hole to fill.
  17. If Gus is forced out of the game could Maynard be forgiven if he offered his own retirement?
  18. This is pretty gutting to be honest and a little too real. If this is the end of Gus's career that's devastating. If this has a long term effect on his life in general, that's 100 times worse.
  19. No groaning in my store. But I agree.

Might be helpful to have a pie chart. I'll do one later.
  22. Good, because if it changes I'll break the local weather station.
  23. Yeah fair. The Giants game was the last time Gaz brought all this up and pointed out times where cool heads were needed to take the best option. Not a great time to revert to this.
  24. Great post. Even if we just level the first quarter we win this game IMO. It felt like it took 5 mins to even go inside 50.
  25. The problem is in finals, nearly is not good enough. Did you win or did you lose, that's what the legacies are judged by. Geelong nearly beat Brisbane in the 2004 prelim but fluffed a lot of shots, they led at half time in the 2019 prelim but same thing, does anyone remember these facts or give a toss? No. During the season is a great time to take learnings and pat ourselves on the back for honourable losses but it doesn't cut it in finals. If we kicked straighter we would have won correct, why didn't we kick straighter is my question. Was it weather, technique or did we simply choke at the critical moment after being accurate for most of the season? Close is just not good enough in these games. Perspective is great to have but reality bites.
