Go Swans Die Essendrug

Well said. I don’t blame Neeld for taking the job at all. I have always wondered what Neil Craig actually did whilst at the MFC....apart from being paid.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?

Wouldn’t cost us too much -

Haven’t seen enough of him to know exactly. But if he is close to selection, but not getting there, he may be a good senior recruit who has a point to prove. Stephen Powell comes to mind, no one saw his 2000 season coming... -

Would be interesting to talk to Anthony Miles. How much does he want to prove the tigers wrong, that he can play in a senior 22 squad, or has missing out on a flag and playing VFL killed his spirit? if he still wants success he could be a gun recruit -
I feel sorry for Mark. He honestly had no idea what he was doing. The Club was in such a mess back then, i doubt they even asked him the right questions, we just needed a new coach....
-
I agree, but Chaplin isn’t Sam Mitchell and i would LOVE Sam Mitchell to work with Clayton Oliver and Angus Brayshaw He knows how to run a midfield Engine deep into September
-
10+ years under Clarkson and multiple flags and 2 years at Meth Coke, i would bet he has learnt a lot, far more than our midfield know thus far....
-
Any stress fracture, he is going to be out for longer than 2 weeks i would say. Unless the Filth have some magic juice they quietly administer.....
-
I have retired from the TV ? Game. After todays Media news i got out at the right time
-
Give him a call Jordan...

That’s up to Ross. But 36 players can run up and down the ground and congest the ball, because all players have the oportunity to rotate off the bench. If ther was 5-10 rotations per Quarter for each club, then only midfielders would be rotated. All other players would stay in positions more. Positions on the ground should be a part of Australian Rules

First thing i thought of after the initial shock of losing last week. (Although that took about an hour to subside)

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
Sir Why You Little replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
This side will come out breathing fire ? on Saturday or it will get blown away. Coach preperation. It’s all on the line Goody. There is no more Coulda, Shoulda involved. Win and we progress... -
Win against Adelaide and we will make it. Lose against them and we are very long odds
-
Too many technical rules. It needs stripping back. To stop 36 players running up and back for an entire match, fatigue must be a legitimate part of the game. Massively limit rotations off the bench will reintroduce tactics.
-
Drop interchange rotations problem solved. But they won’t do it
-
I haven’t got to that game yet. A crate of Whiskey ? will be needed!!!
-
Great stuff. Thanks Angus

Congrats Jordan Lewis on 300 games

Well done Jordan. Thanks for your work so far. I hope you play on next year. Your achievements in the game can only benefit all at The MFC -
Should practise it in many different scenarios Sue. Maybe they already are, but it certainly isn’t translating on Gameday and it could well cost us a spot in September, when in so many ways we should be worthy finalists
-
Really well said Ron. We can all see the improvement and the effort now. We push the good sides hard, but when the crunch is on, we make the same mistakes over and over. The St. Kilda game 2 year ago when we lost it in the last minute., was So similar. To lock down a game of Momentum in the last 1-2 minutes is a drill the side should know backwards by now...
-
Fair call, but this stuff should have been front and center over last pre season, considering what took place in Round 23. As a club we seem to be always slow to react. We are still to nice at The MFC 5 weeks to make a mark.
-
Agreed. Stage fright that last Quarter, when the heat was applied. Dangerfield exploited us perfectly and we walked right in
-
Good. I haven’t heard any post match. That’s the way it must be viewed. We lost the game. It was not honourable
