    Easy to say sitting in a comfy chair. Misson was also a performance manager of Olympic Athletes. Modern AFL would be much tougher to manage imo. He has had his time, but i don’t think he deserved the bagging he got, particularly on Facebook threads. We can start making comparisons next year

    Wouldn’t be easy training up Goodwin’s Chaos run anywhere style. Very high risk. I don’t blame Misson as much as others on here. Look at Monday. First 2 minutes Frost and Salem fly at the same ball BANG!! Frost done for the day. Salem was almost non existent

    It is not good, but i think most of Tom’s problems have stemmed from the appalling delivery he has received from up the ground. Tom would have no idea where to lead. Who would. Not a total excuse, but i don’t fully blame him

    I agree. “Big blokes don’t get shorter late in the game” Jack Dyer... The season has been killed. I am just watching now. Goodwin has got a lot of digging to do to get out of this hole ?

    Agree. Jones should have retired 18 months ago. We hold on to our senior players too long...

    Jones would have been better as a stay at home forward in the 50m arc yesterday. How often was our fwd line empty yesterday?? Players never run back in time. It didn’t seem a problem for The Filth. We do not work hard enough. Does Goodwin think it will just “click” one day, that is the impression i get from his press conferences it’s all about work rate and having Jones on the outer wings is just ludicrous and naive tbh

    But that should be every Club each week. Other Clubs handle it. We, the MFC haven’t for decades, so i ask the question again “why?” “what is it that continually holds this club back?” we needed PJ and Roosy to stay longer, but why?

    Agreed. But if we had beaten Meth Coke, the confidence would have returned. I think we are being over coached, players are confused If Goodwin is smart he will loosen the belts and let the players use their natural talents more....

    As i said above. I really don’t know, but i don’t blame Pert. A bad CEO is never hidden. It’s somewhere in the Football Dept. the Players are putting in 100%, it’s not effort. From outside it has looked to me that all year we have been over coached. Losing to Meth Coke 3 weeks ago was also a kick in the guts. We had them beat, but didn’t.

    No I don’t think we can blame Pert. If that was the reason, we would have heard about it by now. It is something else that needs addressing...

    Agreed. What worries me most is that nothing has changed since last years Preliminary Final Our Forward Line was empty so often yesterday. Fix it up Goodwin

    I think it’s coaching to a large degree. Too many rules and regs. Players are becoming lost. That’s how it looked yesterday Goodwin should let his players play with some natural flare...

    Yes there is still an Elephant in the room inside the MFC, i don’t know what it is, but it is there. Our fall from grace from last year is a Plummet, is it out of control? The effort was there yesterday 100% but i have never seen a professional AFL side play with such bad skill levels. That just doesn’t happen. Why is it there? This season is gone, i expect a huge review of the entire club at years end. 12 months is a long time at Melbourne Football Club. I do wonder if all was ok when PJ left....?

    I wouldn’t say no to Lever, if his knee holds up. TMac should be the Captain, but it just can’t happen at this point

    Are you serious or having a Joke?? It is the job of the Senior Coach to have the team prepared. The skill levels of the entire team is about Under 12’s Nothing has changed all year...
