  1. i actually want this to go to court for 2 main reasons. 1. It will kill tanking completely as the AFL will write new rules making sure of it. 2. A court appearance financed by the club & members would unite the us & them mentality forever. Look at the Storm...They got a knockout punch but refused to hit the canvas. They stood up taller.
  2. well at least that should lock in all the other clubs associated with Tanking to the inquiry as well.
  3. thanks. I am mobile so it is not so easy finding links.
  4. the betting agencies will want a clean set of rules going forward. They will be watching this scenario very closely.
  5. Patrick Smith's article in todays Australian is quite interesting. He actually goes into bat for the club. Gives us a whack, but ultimately gives the club a chance to breathe.
  6. Great draw. No excuses at all. Wins are very possible.
  7. this is how i see it. I think the AFL will impose penalties on the MFC regardless of findings. They cannot be seen to do nothing. Hopefully the draft happens before the sanctions are handed out. We the MFC counter with court proceedings immediately. The other fingered clubs can help pay the legal costs. If the MFC just rolls over & takes a beating i will lose all respect
  8. the Betting Agencies will insist on it. This problem is not just going to go away sadly. It is getting bigger. Too many have spoken now. Do we know for sure who the unnamed second player is yet for sure? Or is it a guess...?
  9. i tend to agree with you, but i still believe too many ears heard the agenda including players. Not cool at all.
  10. ask Dean or his boss. I wasn't in the room. Neither were you
  11. mate. The players knew what was going on. Let's not hide that one. They shouldn't have. Loose lips.
  12. I just cannot believe that so many people knew what was going on. It was crucial if this formula was going to work only 1-3 people could know. For the players to know is a disgrace. I feel really sorry for them. Bloody Clown School. F$&@k it.
  13. if Schwab & Conolly go so does the entire board imo. They are linked.
  14. some of what you say may be correct. But i still don't consider him a dog. He was told to coach in a certain way and was paid accordingly. The dogs were higher up. They have hung the members out to dry. Not Bailey.
  15. yes but the door was opened during Bails last presser
  16. this goes far deeper than someone's revenge. It started with Bails answering a question down the barrel of a camera.
  17. Vlad made that statement before players have fessed up. He knew it was there, he tried to diffuse it.
  18. good points BB, and you may be right. But the MFC was so blatant in what it was doing. We even takked about it on here openly. Everybody knew what was unfolding. That is my concern.
  19. i can see this going to court. The MFC are under the hammer yes, but the AFL made the rules fairly loose.
  20. i think it will. On all of them. This is the AFL's chance to stop tanking stone dead.
  21. well i won't be laughing if and when the hammer comes down. I have been waiting for this ugliness to fester. No i do not consider myself niave. Other clubs will be dealt with in this. We are numero uno.
  22. BB This is a very serious problem that is growing. If meetings took place with board members and coaches to compromise results then the MFC is in big trouble. I do not see how you view it differently. Do not blame the journo's this time.
  23. well said. Sadly Garry Lyon got this one wrong. It would be sorted by now.
