you could also argue that jack viney fumbled the ball just prior to smith, but no-one mentions that. i don't know why smith's fumble gets so much comment. there are hundreds of similar fumbles in the game and anyway if he didn't fumble he would likely have been tackled or got off a rushed panic kick.

oliver's for me the imagery was just so powerful dogga, vines and clarry all powering forward out of the front of the centre bounce, the perfect handpass the perfect kick to split the sticks. all in the blink of an eye and the third goal in 30secs of clock time to close out the 3q with a stunning 4 goal lead clarry pointing to the sky signifying this is ours, the crowd going mad and the dogs with stunned, defeated body language you couldn't script it
