She's a journo mate, not a criminal prosecutor. -

Do you seriously believe that either of those accusations are inaccurate? Does anyone? In my view the tanking was ok, the incompetence of the tanking is the worst part. -

The anger shown towards Wilson is understandable but misdirected. She is a vulture picking over our carcass, but it is not her fault we are in this situation. Members of the club's admin have openly discussed their desire to tank in meetings with 10+ people (and it wasn't just the one meeting either by the way). Wilson may not have the full story and she may or may not have solid evidence but I don't think anyone is seriously suggesting that she is wrong. -

I was really more referring to the salary cap breaches - who do you think were benefiting from them? -

I assume you mean Schwab but it could also apply to Stynes or Lyon. -

Agenda! Agenda! Everything you say is invalid! Seriously though, there was a point where the AFL and MFC's interests were aligned. I think we may have passed it. It's truly shocking that we handled this so poorly that we have been found out during an investigation that was undertaken by an organisation that didn't want to find anything. Pleased to hear the Jalland is considered by some to be a shrewd legal operator but it is hard to have faith in him when he is clearly an incompetent board member. -

Amazing what a bit of knowledge and a capacity for logic can do. -

You're the gift that just keeps giving. Time to throw in the towel and face the facts mate. -

I could suggest some worthy candidates but let's be honest, as soon as I did they would lose the support of most people on Demonland so it wouldn't make sense for me to name anyone who I would actually want to win. (Which is part of the reason why I think the whole agenda accusations thing is stupid). If you think I am part of some conspiracy involving pre-selected candidates in the wings or something then I am sorry to disappoint you. But as I said earlier, I'm not sure what difference it makes. Any change would be an improvement. -

Why don't you share your own thoughts on the matter? Frankly, the Board of the local Girl Guides chapter could probably do a better job than the current lot so I am not sure what difference it makes. Howcroft and the other suits should have put a stop to things and taken over already. Unfortunately it seems he lacked the cojones and it is too late for them now. Although I'll admit that it would not have been a easy task to go up against the popular appeal of a dying cult hero and his friends so I can sort of understand it. -

I agree about the Neeld without politics bit (not that I am sold on him). The bit about me being associated with the previous board is tiresome and irrelevant. I answered your question (even though mine go unanswered most of the time). Please start a new thread if you want to talk about me. -
Supporting the current board is not the same thing as supporting the club. It is in the best interests of the club that they go. Incidentally, despite the noises about "unity" and "inclusion" that you occasionally hear from the current Admin, the club is horribly divided already and has been for some time. When they say the club is unified, what they mean is that they have stacked key positions with mates and now simply ignore everyone else. They actually have the nerve to sell this as an achievement. Seriously, just look at Bailey and Schwab's relationship. Have you ever seen a less unified club?

It's a good question. Probably an AFL appointed administrator in the short term. I very much doubt that Gardner would want the gig if that is what you are trying to get at. -

Ok, now I'm confused. Don't bother explaining though, this thread isn't supposed to be about me. -
Nice try but they won't even tell us what our sponsorships are worth.

Yes, I certainly sounded arrogant. I don't think I sounded inaccurate though. You say you don't want to hear anything I have to say but here you are replying to me again. Feel free to use your ignore function, I am well passed the point of caring about what people think of my online identity. And even if all your half baked conspiracy was true - what difference would it make? P.S. If you think employing an untried Bailey was a mistake, what did you make of the decision to extend his contract? You're funny. -

My input is well informed, well considered and, I dare say, well expressed. It is also typically ignored by people who find it uncomfortable to read and who typically prefer to take out there frustrations on me instead of addressing the issue. Seriously though, our club has wasted golden opportunities on and off the field over the last 4 years, not to mention a lot of good will from supporters. I don't think this is really a matter for dispute anymore. -

No, I don't care to elaborate at length in this thread. Why don't you run a couple of forum searches for "sponsorship debacle" and "bloated off field department", that should get you started. I not even sure I know what you are getting at with the agenda stuff - what difference would it make? I am here to talk about the club like everyone else. Agenda accusations are impossible to disprove, completely irrelevant and it's waste of my time to write about it any further. -

Hey mate, I don't want to get bogged down in whatever it is you are trying to say. I was just pointed out that you would have to be brave to perjure yourself because you were writing about "cross examinations" in courts and such. Agenda stuff is boring and irrelevant. -

A the risk of getting sidetracked, the financial record of the Gardner board was impressive in the circumstances. Four years of consecutive profits in far more trying circumstances than exist currently without ever resorting to unsustainable donation drives. Despite the forecast lost in his final year (off the back of large increases to football operations spending), he left the club in much better shape than he found it. By contrast, the current mob have been lurching from disaster to disaster, financially and otherwise. I'm sure I don't need to clog the thread by elaborating on this further.
