Personally I think its got to do with the new clubs, kids playing other sports and the need for recruiters to recruit robots. There's very little personality left in the game. They're micro managed, can't imagine wanting to be in that environment. Talking to a young kid the other day who plays for the Northern Knights I think. He can't see the benefit of taking the next step, too much required of him, he says he's not alone . Now I'm sure there's plenty who are but have we killed half the fun?

ANB won’t get dropped no matter how many times you type it

The talent pool has got too thin and the games suffering

He will learn [censored] at VFL level

The next person to suggest we drop Petracca should be banned

can't agree. Let them tag Viney. The saints are rubbish and we should of had this game won at half time. Viney showed his importance in the last quarter when he almost won us the game. They don't have anyone stronger than Hogan. Put it on his head and he'll mark it. Sure if he leads to space kick it there but at some point in his career he'll play a season as a FF and kick 80 plus goals. We're wasting him and much more astute footy brains are saying it as well
-
One thing from today is its pretty clear Hogan has to play deep forward and viney should never be used as a tagger
-
Having Viney tagging is really odd especially what he was able to do in the last. That’s mistake 1 of a few today by the coaches. In another note the umpiring is poor this year. Is there prior opportunity or not? And how is it that so often a player is tackled ball flies free and it’s called play on except when its called in correct disposal the rest of the time. It’s not consistent and can make watching very frustrating. Then there’s the in the back decisions when the person getting tackled takes a forward dive. That free against Salem ruined a great contest. Then there’s the frees in the ruck contests? Unexplainable by everyone. Why play Petty? Why play Tyson? Why not let McDonald play back when we’re getting rolled? not criticisms just questions

Is Jeffy Garlett just trade bait now?
Roost It replied to YesitwasaWin4theAges's topic in Melbourne Demons
Garlett needs to work harder that’s what they’re trying to get him to do at Casey. If he’s got the sulks he’ll either realise and pull his finger out or he’s going to become a Casey player. I’d be surprised if we didn’t see a reenergised Garlett in the ones soon enough. I’d play him and spargo, Hogan, Weideman, Melksham and Petracca as our forward line. I’d switch McDonald back to stop the bleeding. The thing about McDonald is you can play him anywhere anytime. Surely the forward line above can kick enough goals -

Surely we don’t trade him for a pack of chips -
The article appears totally pointless. On one hand it praises him for helping the Pies winning a Premiership. Then it cmans him for undisclosed reasons inferring some conspiracy. It’s a really poor article in that it’s so scarce of facts. Tell us Caro, why exactly did he get removed. I’d say because after 11 years of running the biggest club in the land his time was done. Not unlike Maguires who just can’t se the writing on the wall. Whether it be the right decision or not Caro has little idea about any of Perts abilities to lead this club. I just can’t see the point Caro!

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Roost It replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
There maybe marketing and branding benefits but there’ll be no change to our footballing abilities. I only care about winning a Premiership. If this ground helps that I’m in. I just don’t believe it does. However Im happy to admit that with the over sensitive 20 something’s on our list that short walk just maybe doing them harm Maybe the diesel smog from training to close to Punt Road is affecting them, combine that with a gym that’s shared and wow all sorts of issues arise -
If one of ours got suspended for that superb bump you'd be calling for blood.
-
We'll lose one, maybe two more games for the year
-
Brereton is not being critical of Hogan. He's simply analysing his performance. I'd say you're a bit touchy
-
The club made the correct call on Dunn. His time at the Dee's was over. He's not a big loss and had Lever not done his knee we may well have rolled both Collingwood and the Power. Our time is coming
-
If you miss Dunn then I can't help you
-
We’re young and so sitting bout where you’d expect. Personally I think we’re tracking really nicely. Yes we lose to the best sides but we’ve won’t for much longe
-
What makes you think he even wants to go back?
-
Actually we keep proving we’d cant beat any side. The top teams have spanked us. I do however believe we have the cattle to go all the way soon enough
-
The first two posts have us trading Hogan and Petracca. I stopped reading then and there.

Agreed just making the point that the location of our training ground is irrelevant......to me
