Farewell Luke Jackson
Lol. Where did I say I would boo? I’m not trying to stir up angst. Someone asked if people thought Melbourne fans would boo. I wouldn’t but there are many different types of Melbourne supporters out there. The two biggest bullies in my year level at school were Melbourne supporters. They aren’t all like you and they aren’t all like me. If we can’t manage a good deal (it is a negotiation after all) some people will vent their disappointment by booing him. Not all Melbourne supporters are angels.

Thank you Demonland
I'm already noticing the difference. After 17 years, very much overdue.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Did the culture of the AFL give him any alternative to lying? And what did the burden of scrutiny and secrecy do to his mental health and how did that affect him on field?

Farewell Luke Jackson
Yeah, it was a very difficult situation for him, mainly because player movement announcments are so taboo in the AFL. I don't think I want the AFL to go quite as far as the NRL do with announcing player movement so far out, but I do hope we can mature a little in this space. Just like turfing the centre bounce, I really don't think it will be as impactful to the industry as some supporters think.

Farewell Luke Jackson
How naive are you? We have 65,000+ members plus many, many other non-member supporters. You are kidding yourself if you think all of them are wonderful people that will harbour nothing but goodwill to departed players, especially if we don't get a good trade.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I think the determining factor for people who go the boo will be whether they feel we are fairly compensated.

Am I the only one that thinks WCE needs Jackson more then Freo does?

The Luck of the Draw
I think you're trying to say it is unfair but nothing can be done about it? I don't see any easy fix for the fixture, but I just wish it was acknowledged and taken into account by the footy world when looking back in hindsight and assessing how good a teams season was. Carlton's season is getting viewed by many as a failure but if they didn't have to play any finalists twice like Richmond, perhaps they easily make the 8. Ditto for St Kilda. Because of the inherent flaws in the fixture, I hope the industry continues to make very little fanfare about the minor premiership. The way the cookie crumbled this year, Geelong winning it means very little, despite how much their coach wants it to be acknowledged.

2022 All Australian Squad
Langdon and Kozzy must have been close. Gawn surely has to get jacket number 6 and Oliver and Trac are locks. Seems to be a lot of good defenders around at the moment so not sure if May or Brayshaw make it or not. I think Frittata is a good chance as long as they don’t pick an unbalanced side with too many key/big forwards or too many midfielders as forwards.

Clayton Oliver now 2022 Brownlow favourite?
- 2022 The Run Home - Predictions
Well done @DeeZone. Spot on with the W/L record.- The Luck of the Draw
It matters to teams like St Kilda and Carlton who would have loved some finals reward and experience but missed out to Richmond who didn't play any finalists twice.- An amazing achievement
If we don't win the ultimate prize it will be cold comfort, but I rate this seasons H&A as better than leat year. Shorter comparative preseason, more injury impact and a much harder draw and still only 1.5 wins less is a wonderful achievement.- Clayton Oliver now 2022 Brownlow favourite?
I agree and Clarry is the best in the league imo, but unfortunately plays alongside 2 other once in a generation type players in Petracca and Gawn, plus some other extremely good players (Gus, Viney, May, Lever and I could go on). 3,2,1 voting systems don't work for teams like that.- Clayton Oliver now 2022 Brownlow favourite?
I can’t see a Melbourne player winning it. Too many stars taking votes off each other. The 3,2,1 system really hampers players playing on star studded teams. A 5,4,3,2,1 system would be better but it can’t be changed now. The AFLCA award is the only one the really counts for anything. It’s hilarious when supporters bemoan their own players not getting votes in the AFLCA award, blissfully unaware it is their own coach who votes in every single game that player plays in. I think Freos Brayshaw will win the Brownlow, while Clarry might sneak b2b in the AFLCA.- NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022
Let’s be cocky enough to think it’s irrelevant. We can beat anyone, anytime.- NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022
That was a home ground goal knowing the unique conditions if ever there was.- NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022
That was not a definite touch. Fingers didn’t move.- The Run Home
We need to send Russell Robertson to Max King tomorrow morning to teach him how to kick. In my memory, he is the one player that we’ve had that went from ordinary in front of goal to extremely reliable.- Harrison Petty incident
We were raving about him at my place tonight. My son bought up his age which I had forgotten about. So young with a wonderful future.- POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
The Storm put 60 points past the Broncos tonight so they would have beaten the Lions also.- GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Loving how Rivers has moved the last few weeks. Clearly hindered by his knee injury for a long time but moving very well now.- GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
