  1. 100% agree on playing time. If your going to announce a debut and make a big deal of you should probably do so if you plan to play the kid in the 22. I think the same for any debutant. Sitting on the bench burning nervous energy isn't great IMHO.

Because Carlton, worst supporters in the league , just angry entitled nuffies. As a 10 year old at the prelim in 88 at VFL Park I somehow ended up in a Carlton section. After a Melbourne goal I waved my flag and a grown man yanked it out of my hand and snapped the stick. Hated them ever since
  3. Goodwin's commitment or stubbornness to make it work is a really getting beyond the pale
  4. Agree on the grub Swan getting his love in when he he a terrible human on many levels. But MFC not having a representative at the hall of fame event is a bad look and poor form IMHO

We were 51 points down at halftime against Freo

Howe reminding everyone why he never made it as a forward

Gift goal from that 50m penalty. Never gets paid

It does. I think it is all the sides right now our supporters are the least hopeful for what will play out for 2024
  9. Agree 98 was the year that was our best chance outside 2021. We got shafted by the finals system , finished 4th but in that year 1st played 8th and so on, so we won 2 finals and then had to play a prelim against the top ranked team, they changed the finals the following year
  10. Darling tore it up as a 16 year in the National carnival for WA and was touted as a top 3 pick for the following year at the time. Your correct his from did drop the following year playing seniors, he did play the U/18 carnival and was expected to dominate but had a poor showing. There was various conspiracies that he didn't give his all and a school suspension and supposed nightclub incident that where all part of the plan for him to stay in WA. Certainly a steal at pick 26. But thats history . I am in the get Luker in for a taste ASAP camp. He is a forward who at least has grown up playing forward and I assume leads , has a strong body so should be able to at least compete. Surely can't be any worse that the Petty /Turner output at the moment
  11. Got puff pieces in both major Melbourne papers today. 🤮
  12. Was a tough week for bruzzy apparently. How this bloke is the victim makes me sick https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2024-craig-mcrae-postmatch-press-conference-brayden-maynard-issues-in-personal-life-nathan-kreuger-collingwood-magpies-defeat-melbourne-demons-big-freeze-at-the-g-10-on-kings-birthday-comments-latest-news/news-story/341c52c87324cf9429a42ed0f70e4b9a
  13. I'll still sign up next year , but the extra $$ for Grand Final Guarantee I will not, they fooled me into 3 years of that donation
  14. Definately playing injured. Saw him huddled over wincing on multiple occasions
  15. My pet hate is running past for a handball and not knowing where you are going to kick it, only to rush a kick to the opposition. (Rivers is a serial offender). Followed closely by the hot potato handball to a player flat footed in a worse position (clarry I'm looking at you). Discuss
  16. I like my chances of securing a position in one of the MCC's dining room ballots
  17. Petty , disco out or back to the backline One or more of the Casey forwards who have actually been drafted and played a lot of footy as a forward. Jefferson, Luka, Fullerton , Brown can't be any worse.
  18. 3 years later we are Still working on our method and forward connection. But we now have backs trying to be forwards instead and the same mids that are lacking in kicking skills department. Going well
  19. 1 step forward one week after 12 steps back the last week. Net negative
  20. I did I'm ok thanks, back to my natural state of zero expectations. 83k odd there today would have been 65k Collingwood
  21. That's because he was drafted as and played majority of his footy as a forward. Expecting Petty and Turner to produce at AFL level consistently as forwards when they are key backs is dumb. Can't remember any key backs turning themselves into good forwards. Neitz a big exception but he did play all his junior and early AFL career as a forward.Tmac deserves a mention for his one and a half good seasons as a forward.Petty and Turner just don't lead up to the ball or find space it's never going to work execute against depleted Richmond sides apparently
  22. Yep I was at the game and know the period you where taking about. I thought there is the intensity we are capable of and we won alot of contested hard balls and gang tackled during that period. As you say lasted a few minutes
  23. Not really, a flag is a flag I would've taken one in my lifetime 5 years ago. Just a bit bitter that we didn't get to experience it live
  24. Boys mostly try hard but we just don't have the skills or composure to choose the right option let alone execute it
