Yes you can, when you know what has been purchased with it.

Easily fixed, you add round three pick to 2 second rounders and you are ahead of the pack, especially as you are wanting Bugg, which will keep the AFL happy, with the points difference.
-
Read daisy's post at 5.45 saturday and you will understand. 37.
-
Pity. That leaves GWS as the only likely target for the pick upgrade.
-
He has been offered $650k per year by the Saints and that is why it is them and no one else.
-
That is why I posed the question including the reference to a "master plan".
-
Are GC looking at getting academy players in? if so I wonder whether we can go after their pick 3, with more points from our second rounders and get a pick back to give GWS for Bugg, to make the deal ok for the AFL. That would give us picks 3 and 6 by going direct to GC. That is assuming Prestia and O'Meara are staying put, so we are after the pick 3, not a player.
-
Looks likely. Would we consider trying to get Freeman, Kennedy and a pick from Pies, or is that too hard to organize with Freeman and would it spoil our "master plan"?

26 has been earmarked for Aish.

And the surgery was done in Tasmania, because of course they have the best surgeons in Australia.

Ok I apologize. All the nastiness on here must be getting to me.

Treloar deal done according to the Sun and Pies Doctor diagnosed the groin problem during his medical with them. Apparently his Manager who says nothing about anything paid for the surgery. The same manager I believe who acted for number 9 of the Giants when he left us.

It looks like the Howe deal will go through Monday and Kenedy will be included. The Bugg deal will get done as it is a simple one for a pick. I wonder if we can trade up to 8 with GWS for picks probably including Bugg at the same time. If that happens can we then do anything else. Prestia/OMeara are reported today as staying. Can we become involved in Tomlinson. Is Gorringe an option? Can we do a player and 6 for 3 with GC? We will have 3.5 days to try something or is it complete something? Personally I could live with having 6 and 8 in the ND. If we miss Parish, Francis and Curnow would Weideman and Rioli be silly.
-
Sun is saying the Treloar deal is done.If we are unhappy with the Howe situation and we want payback, there are 2 Magpies we can take as rookies, could do it as long as we are prepared for them not to play next year. Both would then go our senior list the following year and would cost nothing. I don't think the club would do it however. The players would also probably be against it.
-
It was said somewhere that the Saints offer is $650k per year and that explains why he is holding out for them. Also the Saints offer equates to a pick 40 for him and that is ridiculous and the Saints know it.

37 or 16 for Daisy.
-
Unfortunately that is probably the case.

HL for an injured and ill Clark was fine. The problem was HL had a shocking year. If HL had continued his NAB Cup form we would have been laughing. I think HL will be playing with us after Clark has retired from the AFL finally..
-
Yes but you said Essendon were offering 3 second rounders.
-
You can't do your deal as the AFL will veto any pick transfer that has more than 200 points difference. You need a player trade to make it happen, so a club can maximize the points they get for swapping.
-
No they will be offering 2. 3 would beat them and even 2 and a third. The AFL will not allow more than a 200 point difference in a trade of picks, so trading a player as well helps in the deal. We want Bugg and therefore can offer more points for 8.
-
That is my hope and it is our best result that I can see from Howe and Toumpas. It would then allow us to have a real go at 8, Bugg and Tomlinson from GWS. However I don't think we will achieve those 3 second rounders in the deal. Even 2 second rounders and a third rounder plus Kennedy would allow us to have a real go at the GWS deal, as the points are well more than 8.

This is the AFL site's latest prediction for us. If true, the above is on target. WHAT'S DONE In: Jake Melksham Out: Pick No.25 STILL TO COME Big-ticket item: The Demons would prefer to deal with Gold Coast on Jeremy Howe, with the Suns prepared to swap pick No.3 for the Dees' No.6 as part of the deal. However, they will almost certainly end up trading with Howe's preferred club, Collingwood, who could offer Ben Kennedy and a second-round pick, or two second-round picks. What else is on the shopping list: The Demons are likely to pick up Giants midfielder Tom Bugg, but could lose 2012's No.4 draft pick Jimmy Toumpas to Port Adelaide in exchange for a second-round selection.

You think they didn't organize it so he would be ready for 2016?
