  1. How about a straight swap Ollie wines for Jimmy Toumpas, should get it done.......aaah sheesh, hang on
  2. Josh Mahoney. Played together for 3 years!
  3. Have to admire the bloke. It must have been extremely difficult to deal with after having been skipper for a number of years only to see out the last 2 barely sighted. But he never whinged, just busted his gut for Casey each n every week. Don`t think I've ever wanted a `past` player to move onto another club and succeed as much as I do for Jack.
  4. Great to hear, had a terrific year I thought!
  5. Grateful for everyone who dons the red n blue Saty ( I wished all 3 delistees well in an earlier post), it was more an indictment on the club and how poor we have been and not all that long ago. Its a little harder for you to accept because you are/were close to them.
  6. Hard to believe 2 of these blokes were top four in the Bluey and 1 was skipper just 3 years ago. The top 10 is simply horrific reading when you think about it bar 2 players..........brace yourselves 2013 Melbourne best and fairest results Winner: Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Memorial Trophy – Nathan Jones Second: Sid Anderson Memorial Trophy – Colin Garland Third: Ron Barassi Snr Memorial Trophy – Dean Terlich Fourth: Ivor Warne-Smith Memorial Trophy – Matt Jones Fifth: Dick Taylor Memorial Trophy – Colin Sylvia Sixth: Lynden Dunn . Seventh: James Frawley . Eighth: Jack Trengove Ninth: Jeremy Howe Tenth: Tom McDonald
  7. Yeah true that!!
  8. Yeah I feel for Jack, surprised they didn't even attempt a trade. A sad end to his career with us. I guess it shows you what his currency is out there in the marketplace. Hope someone else gives you a shot! All the best to all 3
  9. Anyway, back on to the topic....Kennedy`s decline from the first 5 or 6 rounds was alarming. Looked like we had one of the recruits of the year, turned out to be another Newton/Michie type recruit. Real disappointment after what he showed he can offer us.
  10. Caro is reporting Fyfe to Victoria, doesn't say MFC.... Could be a 3 way deal, who knows??
  11. Definitely true about the desk clearout, source is a relative to one of the coaching staff. The rest is just my thoughts on how it went do pear shaped. Agree with LH that the players were/looked spent.
  12. I found out on 2 days ago that Roos cleared his desk out on the Friday before the Geelong match. Some may say `so what` but I reckon it might give us a little insight into the players seemingly `couldn't care less` attitude on the day. Finals were outta the question, the coach had already checked out, we may as well too!
  13. Yep, you could see he had clearly lost the plot for a little while, all he wanted to do was get back at Selwood, he had no focus on the footy at all...very costly! I love Hodge BTW, but that was a big moment. Reckon Clarko would have let him know too!
  14. Nasher can you tell us who Y_M and Freak morphed into??
  15. Could be `one and the same` those 2!
  16. Does he still lurk around here, surely he does?. Had too big an ego to disappear forever.
  17. Is Yze_Magic still around here under a new name....and Freak?? Y_M could rub everyone up the wrong way, but geez he could make me laugh too!
  18. Why would we want to give Essendon a boost in the draft order? Stuff `em they can have 27!
  19. Really enjoyed watching the game, I thought the skills and hardness at the ball was super impressive. Never thought I`d be a fan but last night sold me! That was far more entertaining than the majority of the games the Dees played between 2012-2014!
  20. Melbourne Storm lost dammit, just switched to the footy....my care factor is gone!
  21. Had a great year last year, has been very ordinary this year, he`d struggle to get a game with us.
  22. Thanks for giving us hope Roosy, next year will be the most exciting year for us fans since 87 and I can`t wait. Good luck!
  23. I thought the OP was a joke, can`t believe the timing as the finals loom. Reckon they have flown the white flag before the finals even start, can you imagine the morale at the club right now.........Fkn Fantastic lol!
  24. Yeah agree with this...Grimes will look elsewhere for more opportunity, Richmond you`d expect. Retain Trenners as a rookie, with a full pre-season he may still surprise.
  25. Well the ride to the finals was bloody awesome up until yesterday. I was pretty filthy sitting in the Olympic Stand at the match, but have moved on. Carlton clearly wanted it more than we did and deserved the win. As bad as we played, we had ample opportunities to win that game but we just never really looked like it which is what disappoints so much with what was riding on the result. The delivery into F50 was abysmal, I lost count of the times we kicked to 2 or 3 on ones but usually just direct to a free Carlton player. It really was a combination of zero forward structure, and hurried kicks from perceived pressure, often when there wasn`t anyway. Carton to their credit pressured us nearly all match. We will finish with 10 wins which I expected at the start of the year, but I think we are more advanced than many diehards would have expected prior to Round 1. Its a solid pass mark from me I expect to make Finals next year, anything else will be a failure! Oh and whilst we can`t blame the umps for the loss or our poor attitude yesterday, some of the non-decisions we missed out on were mind boggling, 3 umpires could not possibly have missed some of those atrocious decisions, but miraculously, they did.
