Huh? Scratch matches “in form”? Glad he’s in and I hope people give him some time to get up to speed, I’m not expecting a huge game but his ability to hit the scoreboard (as others have mentioned players aren’t A graders without it) is a good in for us.

Especially when the back up players aren’t playing any footy at all. Training doesn’t give you the same feel for the game. I said it in another thread but there is no way we should be resting players unless we are a lock for the finals. It’s a short season, plenty of rest to date, professional athletes, shorter games.

I’ve really enjoyed the Suns v Dogs game. English has gone from a bag full of chocolates to the boiled lollies this week. I really enjoy seeing Libba back to his best, tough little nugget and just keeps bobbing up for stats and goals. The ground is going to struggle with the weather on the way.

Was reading just this morning the break in the NHL has been huge for most teams. They play so many games in a week (sometimes and a home and away agains the same team on back to back days) the rest for the players has been great along with new coaches getting to actually implement their systems. NHL playoffs aiming to start in 2 hub/bubble cities in Aug 1st, something like 1 month of 6 games every single day, all back to back!!!

Fez we’re flying from Qld, it’s a little longer than from Melbs with shortened gaps between games. It’s not ideal and tougher compared to others teams just plonked in Qld for the next block of games. As the club has said though, anywhere, anytime!

Rotate players? Besides Bennell, until we’re guaranteed of finals then it would be madness to not play our best teams at all times. Professional athletes, Burgess they need to get through this looking to win as many as possible to get as far into the 8 as possible.

All you can say is the likes of Burgess and Mahns are earning their coin planning away into the wee hours tonight and moving forward.

The issues I see are travelling to bloody Tassie (for both teams) from QLD but for us as well it’s playing a game then having to travel back to Maroochydore from Adelaide and Tassie. It’s not like it’s just the one hour-ish flight. Also as someone said above, the families moving to QLD and having partners travelling so often in the next period is going to be tough. There is zero asterisk on this season for the winner for mine.

Started doing the pillow thing on trips and I’ll never go back.

Gawn’s field kicking is the opposite of that, his goal kicking is where he still needs work. The old left hook off the boot.

Im glad they hate on Scully, what a terrible draft for us it was and he hasn’t got any better.
