Again as others have said we've stock piled top end talent, now is the time to hit finals hard.

Not sure about you DOX but I could care less about next years draft (looks like Footy Dept are in same boat), I care about us making a deep run into finals next year. This helps us do that.

No idea why people are getting shirty about the trade. It is not earth shatteringly bad, we wanted him, we paid what we thought was fair. As other have said the draft is a fair old cr@ p shoot, it is better to bring in talented/developed players than constantly spend at the draft when a club hits our age profile and have had the "luxury" of having low draft picks over a number of years. in Mahns we trust! WELCOME JAKEY!!!!

If his knee is ok then that is a decent get, Ess don't have to go to the crap shoot of the draft. He has played some quality games, but hasn't been hugely consistent, he has spent time in the system and should bloom pretty well though.

Loving him as a mate and loving playing with him are 2 different things. I'm sure we've all played with blokes who we were great mates with but didn't like playing with them as they were not quite up to it. (you know you're not great when you struggle in Div 2 SFL)
