We showed during the week that we are not the ‘pushover’ club that many thought we were. I’ve always loved the game and our great Club! My love for the Club went to a new level with this morning’s decision to challenge the JVR decision …………. for the sake of justice and the integrity and good of the game.

I’m comforted by this statement on the MFC website: “The Club will consider all its options before accepting the Tribunal’s decision.”

Justice denied! And in one fell swoop, these these [censored]’oles change our great game forever!

I don’t like how long this is taking. It should be clear cut in JVR’s favour.

Presumably the Casey players will have a pretty serious match sim on the weekend, and Salo can start to build some match conditioning. He’s had an extended break (thyroid & knee) and it will take time for him to become match fit. I’m really looking forward to his return, but I doubt it will be before the bye.

Thanks MFC! That is the first critical step. The next is for the Tribunal to exercise some common sense and clear JVR. The alternative will (van) ruin our great game, which has withstood the test of time.

King and Montagna on ‘First Crack’ reckon Melbourne will appeal to the Tribunal, and JVR will be free to play next week. I hope they are correct! The integrity of the game is imperative!
