AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Yes roo and Jeffo probably haven’t been what we have hoped so far I wouldn’t give up just yet and Kentfield looks promising, adding Schubert hurts the develop of these guys and as much as I would love to get him unless we show off fast exciting football this season moving up the ladder we won’t land butters, we need to add to our young midfield brigade in this draft

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I wouldn’t say there is a clear knock on him, but I don’t think he is what we should be going after with 3 developing young talls aswell as mihocek and Johnson I’d definitely look at a midfielder stil available (would love for it to be cumming) and dovaston

Realistic 23 for 2026
FB- Jiath Petty Turner HB- bowey lever lindsay C- langdon rivers culley HF- Viney JVR Fristch FF- Chandler Mihocek Langford FOLL- Gawn Windsor Pickett bench- Steele Kentfield Howes Salem Tholstrup Emergency- Adams Sharp Sparrow provided its one of robey or dovaston they would replace tholstrup in the best 23 langford rotating into the middle as a deep forward with pickett and rivers to play deep aswell

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Would be a great get imo for the right price which is pick 42 imo, we need more medium/small defenders with Mcvee leaving and rivers going into the midfield, he can defend and has the speed that king has been wanting

going through roller coaster of emotions reading this thread

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
If we do lands picks 7 and 8 grjl and dovaston would be a great outcome

The List Manager Tim Lamb
Well then your saying anb and trac are as good as each other? I’m just trying to point out that good young players are worth more then good older role players We are arguing about this but also agree that he’s worth an early second
-
The List Manager Tim Lamb
Gotta look at the age difference tho mate Mcvee will still improve whereas ANB has reached his ceiling
-
The List Manager Tim Lamb
That is a good point but I belive Mcvee would of been there aswell But I agree he’s not worth 12 but if we are adding the other picks to it I definitely think the package in total is worth pick 12
-
The List Manager Tim Lamb
I’m asssuming they meant pick 26 and the spargo compensation which is likely to be end of second round Mcvee definitely has much more trade value then ANB as Mcvee is like 6 years younger then him and as good as him and I think he meant the pick that we get for may, not may himself

2025 Player Reviews: #7 Jack Viney
Would like to see him be moved into a pressure forward role, not sure he still has the ability to be a good midfielder
-
Sam Flanders
Yeah but then worrying about what players we want to trade for would be considered useless aswell but yes I said that before that it isn’t something we have to worry about currently because of the large space we have in our salary cap
-
Sam Flanders
Well I’m a Melbourne fan speaking in complete blind faith and hope here but hopefully the young boys start to develop and we start playing fast exciting football that attracts the big names like butters and king
-
Sam Flanders
Yes and I’m happy to overpay on certain players rn because we have the salary cap to do so I was just trying to point out how salary cap is something that shouldn’t just be brushed under the rug by fans
-
Sam Flanders
Because some supporters worry that there club might overpay players causing large struggles in the future loosing your best players because of tight money situations, I would like for us to get better whilst being reasonable in the amount of money we give players
-
Farewell Judd McVee
Everyone but west coast would be angry with that deal, west coast would be running away as fast as they can with that
-
2025 Player Reviews: #20 Xavier Lindsay
Would definitely have him at half back next year, would allow him time to build his strength and frame to be a future mid
-
Sam Flanders
Even if we pick up Flanders at 900k it’s looking like we will still easily have enough salary cap to offer a large amount of money to the free agents like butters or king next year
-
2025 Player Reviews: #24 Trent Rivers
Yeah ik was excited to see him in the mid, I understand we had a few injuries in the backline at the beginning of the year, but would of liked to have seen us trust our back depth rather then throw rivers back to defence

Trade Targets
Agreed think Mackenzie has the ability to be a gun in the future, however, I found Hustwaite more an attractive option due to how cheaply we could get him, hawthorn reportedly want a first for Mackenzie
-
Trade Targets
Thoughts on Henry Hustwaite? Looks like a capable midfielder that’s just not given the chance
-
Farewell Judd McVee
Looks good throughout the clip, ball use is one of our biggest concerns so if he can bring the great kicking off halfback like he showed id be interested
-
Farewell Judd McVee
I’m not taking anything other then that pick 11, pick 29 is under for Mcvee considering how young he still is
-
Farewell Judd McVee
Judd Mcvee is seeking a trade to Fremantle via cal toomey

2025 Player Reviews: #24 Trent Rivers
Would like to see him train as a mid this off season and get him ready for a huge midfield role next season, has the perfect combination of an inside outside mid
