Farewell Jesse Hogan
He would need to perform against top 8 sides to kick that many...

It's really not that crazy. Recent history tells us we can expect two first rounders but not two top 10 picks in the same draft for Hogan alone. The Treloar and Lever trades are the most recent examples I would be inclined to use as a precedent - a top 10 pick + a future first rounder and an exchange of later draft selections. In the event that JH requests a trade there will be elements to a deal that will be completely unpredictable, despite all the speculation in the world from journos and fans alike.

KK will flourish in a professional football program with leaders to guide him. Perfect Lewis successor

I agree with your sentiment about talent managers, however it really is a strong field this year. It's been projected from a long way out, as far as 2016. Last season the 17 year old players were the ones dominating the U18 carnival. The likes of Rankine, Lukosius, Smith, Walsh, the King brothers...the list goes on.

They talk a big game for a club in crisis. They'll accept what they are offered this year or receive a end of first round or second round compo pick next year. I think we'll have to give more than one 1st rounder for both May and KK, maybe a 1st and a 3rd. Happy to buy back in to the first round of the draft, it's a super crop this year.

Had mail tonight from a mate close to a non-dees player that JH is gone. Same source is confirming Conca to Freo so apparently that's the word going around player circles. Wouldn't take it as gospel but he was on to Lever to Melbourne at the start of 2017 before the media storm.

No need to be a [censored] about it. It's a legitimate question, 50 goal per season key position forwards don't grow on trees. The jury is still out on Weid, as well as our entire mid size forward fleet with the exception of Melksham.

What happens if one of Weid or TMac suffer a serious injury next? What KPF depth do we have?
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Fair point. Either way, his decision won't be financially driven.

TBH $5m sounds spot on. I'd say that's a realistic ballpark figure for what Freo would throw at Hogan. The current landscape of player movement involves lengthy multi year deals... Buddy to Sydney opened a can of worms that won't be closed any time soon.

Would want two first rounders for Hogan if the Lever trade is the precedent for young key position stars. Get May and buy back into the first round of the super draft. Giddy up.

Bernie Vince Retires
Will never forget the game against Adelaide at Adelaide Oval when he smashed Dangerfield into submission. Was a monumental win for the club, a turning point almost. Also his shirt front on Dale Thomas against Carlton this season was beautiful. All the best Bernie, you will be missed.

Have also heard this, but it is hardly news. The difference this time is we arguably look better structurally without Hoges, and Weid is developing fast. Will be an interesting off season.

His contest marking since he entered the league 2015 - 47 (21 games) 2016 - 43 (20 games) 2017 - 10 (10 games) 2018 - 24 (20 games) That is a pretty alarming drop off if you ask me.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
He does, what has happened to his contested marking though? Remember in 2016 when he tore that Anzac Day Eve game apart? He was clunking everything.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
He also needs to sort out his set shot technique, it is all over the place.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
The problem is we have a surplus of what he offers in there, we need outside run and distribution. He has to play forward.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Can't see us shafting Hogan like that especially after he has been so loyal to us. This club has changed, we stick together now.

Andrew Gaff
No fugazi is good news for us. We hold our cards close to our chest these days. Why would Gaff want to go to those desperados north? If he wants to play in an average team in front of 20k people every week good luck to the lad.

North - throwing big money offers at Hall and Polec St.Kilda - throwing big money offer at Hannebery Can't help but thinking we are in the box seat here. Absolutely no fugazi from us, as has been the case with all of our big name signings in recent times. Round 4 next year... Out: JKH, Smith In: Gaff, Lever

Fair enough. A truly bizarre attack if the punch hit where it was intended.

As Mark Brayshaw alluded to - Brayshaw definitely lowered his centre of gravity half way through Gaff lashing out. Have watched it a few times and I genuinely think it was an upper chest punch gone horribly wrong.
