  1. I get the sense that the best we can hope for is Pick 5 + Future 1st rounder. Jesse needs to make up his mind so we can focus on other ways to improve our list.
  2. North can't get an uber eats to come to Arden Street
  3. He would need to perform against top 8 sides to kick that many...
  4. It's really not that crazy. Recent history tells us we can expect two first rounders but not two top 10 picks in the same draft for Hogan alone. The Treloar and Lever trades are the most recent examples I would be inclined to use as a precedent - a top 10 pick + a future first rounder and an exchange of later draft selections. In the event that JH requests a trade there will be elements to a deal that will be completely unpredictable, despite all the speculation in the world from journos and fans alike.
  5. KK will flourish in a professional football program with leaders to guide him. Perfect Lewis successor
  6. Honestly never heard of him
  7. Except this time we're good...
  8. I agree with your sentiment about talent managers, however it really is a strong field this year. It's been projected from a long way out, as far as 2016. Last season the 17 year old players were the ones dominating the U18 carnival. The likes of Rankine, Lukosius, Smith, Walsh, the King brothers...the list goes on.
  9. They talk a big game for a club in crisis. They'll accept what they are offered this year or receive a end of first round or second round compo pick next year. I think we'll have to give more than one 1st rounder for both May and KK, maybe a 1st and a 3rd. Happy to buy back in to the first round of the draft, it's a super crop this year.
  10. Had mail tonight from a mate close to a non-dees player that JH is gone. Same source is confirming Conca to Freo so apparently that's the word going around player circles. Wouldn't take it as gospel but he was on to Lever to Melbourne at the start of 2017 before the media storm.
  11. No need to be a [censored] about it. It's a legitimate question, 50 goal per season key position forwards don't grow on trees. The jury is still out on Weid, as well as our entire mid size forward fleet with the exception of Melksham.
  12. What happens if one of Weid or TMac suffer a serious injury next? What KPF depth do we have?
  13. Fair point. Either way, his decision won't be financially driven.
  14. TBH $5m sounds spot on. I'd say that's a realistic ballpark figure for what Freo would throw at Hogan. The current landscape of player movement involves lengthy multi year deals... Buddy to Sydney opened a can of worms that won't be closed any time soon.
  15. Shiel is a bit suspect, his footskills are hit and miss. Very similar to Tyson but with more explosion away from the stoppage IMO. Would rather load up on Kelly either this year or next year via FA
  16. Would want two first rounders for Hogan if the Lever trade is the precedent for young key position stars. Get May and buy back into the first round of the super draft. Giddy up.
  17. Hunt is looking strong. Big pre season and he's straight into the 1s
  18. My key points that will help us go all the way next season: Petracca needs to shed a stack of kilos, seriously sharpen up his footskills and become our playmaker linking the midfield to the forward line. He's better at creating than finishing in my opinion. Trade for some nippy and small forwards to plonk at the feet of our tall timber, with their primary role other than kicking goals to be apply maximum pressure. Think Liam Ryan and Willie Rioli yesterday. Hannan and Spargo will need to have enormous pre-seasons to convince me that they are capable of filling this void. WCE walked out of their defence yesterday. Get Steven May in with a Tyson + (?) package and switch Lewis into the coaches box. Salem becomes quarterback, Lever our obvious intercepter, Hibberd and Jetta lockdown defenders, Frost or Hunt can fight for the line breaking half back role. Not sure where that leaves Oscar. Craig Jennings needs to sharpen how we setup behind the ball.
  19. If anybody has any sort of connection to obtain a grand final ticket, my best mate is a mad Pies fan and is willing to fork out around $500. PM me! .....go dees.
  20. Our lack of leg speed and class was highlighted today. I'm expecting a lot of player movement this off season to sharpen the axe for a tilt next year.
  21. This is embarrassing
  22. They seemed to score quite freely against us on Queens Birthday...
  23. I like it. Smith is good, my only concern is his ability to immediately step in to the finals cauldron of pressure. Fritta has looked a bit fatigued over the past couple of weeks
  24. Yes security were notified and after a long deliberation one guy was escorted out but the others remained inside and were monitored for the rest of the match. Fair to say they got a decent send off by the Melbourne faithful when they left after Melksham's sealer. Good riddance
  25. Unfortunately my night was marred by racist remarks directed at Salem and Jetta by a group of Hawthorn fans in Q1. Left me feeling down for the remainder of the match, but it was a great win by the boys. Go Dees
