Jones needs a rocket. Looks slow and indecisive.

The fact that we lost to Stkilda is an embarrassment. They are horrid
-
Hahahahahahaha. Surely taking the pizz. PM the moderators as you're quite literally making your problem worse.
-
That is some chronic mfcss you have there jaded ??

North - throwing big money offers at Hall and Polec St.Kilda - throwing big money offer at Hannebery Can't help but thinking we are in the box seat here. Absolutely no fugazi from us, as has been the case with all of our big name signings in recent times. Round 4 next year... Out: JKH, Smith In: Gaff, Lever

Fair enough. A truly bizarre attack if the punch hit where it was intended.
-
As Mark Brayshaw alluded to - Brayshaw definitely lowered his centre of gravity half way through Gaff lashing out. Have watched it a few times and I genuinely think it was an upper chest punch gone horribly wrong.

Hyper masculinity at its finest.

Trevor Nisbett had some quite strong thoughts on this kind of incident earlier in the year... "An amateur WA footballer has a broken jaw after an alleged behind-the-play strike that prompted West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett to call for thugs to be marched out of the game. Mr Nisbett, whose two sons play in the WAAFL, said the Eagles sponsored the competition and expected games to be in the “right spirit”. Anyone who engaged in extreme violence should be deregistered. “This is a dreadful incident for guys who just want to go and play and have some fun,” Mr Nisbett said. “Guys don’t sign up for this and if you’re going to go outside the laws of the game, you should be punished with the maximum penalty. “Enough is enough. This has been creeping in for a number of years. It’s not so much the number of incidents but their severity.” ...Awkward.

We are a 15 goal better side on paper, their midfield is utter trash, Jarrod Witts is their captain, and we have a top 4 spot up for grabs. Watch us get rolled.
-
How is he creepy? He's an absolute gentleman with a significant passion for sport, who is also dealing with an ongoing cancer battle. One of the all time great football people.
-
They are gettable. They'll lose at the G eventually and I reckon it will be in a final this season
-
Higgins is out. Easily their best player this season
-
I think it is too late in the season to be experimenting with positions, Smith hasn't played wing since he has been in the team and likewise Pedo as a key back.
-
I like Smith, good closing speed. If he plays to his limitations and gets the ball in the hands of those who can use the ball better by foot then he is a keeper in the 22 for me. Hogan is way off the pace at the moment. Pedo in this week, get Jesse cherry ripe for the last 3 rounds.

The ferocity at which Brayshaw attacks the ball and the man is so pleasing considering his injury history. McGovern's shoulder will be sore this morning, pivotal contest and lesser players might not have gone as hard. We really have a ripper in Gus. Secondly, credit to Dom Tyson. Thought he was magnificent last night and was central to our 3rd quarter blitz. Up the Dees!

Just as I was beginning to forget about this debacle. Thanks Febes

This season more than others, it is noticeable that certain teams just match up well against others. There are 14 teams that on their day can beat each other irrespective of ladder position.
-
This is a team we smashed by 15 goals a couple of months ago. Admittedly it is on their home deck this time, and there are a couple of personnel changes since that day...but we play Adelaide Oval well and will be up for the fight. 50/50 IMO

No first rounder makes the going tough. Along with the fact that he FA list is thinning by the day, who would you target and at what cost?
-
Hopefully after another pre-season Harrison Petty is ready to step in. However we could look to trade for one. I daresay Tyson could be used as trade bait, he could net us a second rounder to on trade for a KPD. Will be a fascinating off season
-
@old dee I disagree. We could use a couple of cherries on the top of the cake but at full strength our spine is set.
-
Onya Gussy lad. This current core will take us to a flag ?
-
I think tactically Goodwin is ok, it is as simple as we just don't have the cattle in the backline right now. Remember how good Oscar looked when Lever was providing cover? Now compound that with Hibberd being out and it is any wonder we got within 5 goals of Geelong let alone 2 points. If anything our injury list has highlighted our lack of defensive depth. Something for Jason Taylor to consider in the off season.

Let's smash Adelaide and all will be well again.
