  2. Nice, I quite like The Hives but they look like they are entertainers too. Enjoy.
  3. I was specifically referring to posters that were complaining about having to read a lot what they see are the same arguments. Maybe my last sentence or two was unnecessary but the point was that these discussions are okay on a discussion board.
  4. I guess it depends on how you see it, but, as the great Tom Jones sang, It's not unusual! Saints had less free kicks but dominated disposals. Umpiring was poor but consistent, so I'll give them that.
  5. I think (hope) that we are not so incompetent that we can't pick a decent CEO and President. Just a waiting game.
  6. Umpires want the Swans to win. Some absolute howlers!
  7. I mean the coach could drop him or make a positional change.
  8. Is that what we're doing though?
  9. Honestly, I'm staggered that there are some amongst us that resent posters bringing up our shortfalls. It's a forum, for discussing our observations and opinions. I get that it may seem repetitive but it is truly representative of what the coach and team has dished up ad nauseam for many seasons. The irony is that the same posters are willing to turn up and put up with the same deficiencies each game. Don't like it, don't read it.
  10. Weird, thanks. My powers of ITing have failed me once again. Second try.
  11. I think I was trying to make the point that it looked like we were drilling it into our players to be as predictable as possible, so as to continue our crusade of helping out the opposition defence. I wasn't trying to highlight a players performance per se, just highlighting what we are coaching into our players.
  12. Nice one. The start of the song made me think "One chord does not a jazz song make". But, the vibe did build. I guess there's a cross over between blues and jazz and it seems to me like they've blurred the lines with this track. Enjoyed it, thanks. One from the great Nils, if it hasn't been posted already. He makes it look and sound so effortless. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rmreiMTiemg&pp=ygUETmlsc9IHCQnDCQGHKiGM7w%3D%3D
  13. Grow some cojones MFC. Out: Goodwin
  14. Great post. With a few more forward systems in place I think we could have been more successful. Gawn's dominance in the ruck hasn't been reflected in our performances either. I don't mean to be unfair to the training reports either, but I read that they had Chandler practicing to kick it to the top of the square. I wasn't there, I don't know the context. But that we have been so predictable going into the forward 50 for so long and we could be still practicing this beggars belief!
  15. I'm enjoying listening to Watty, thanks. I was listening to someone talk about streaming music and how people were turning to CDs due to compression, artists re-recording material and pitch correction on the streaming catalogues. It made me wonder what is everyone's set up for listening to music? I have a fair collection of CDs that I haven't used for years and have half a mind to buy a second hand amp, CD changer and speaker set up. Streaming is easy and so accessible but I do miss listening to albums.
  16. This is what worries me. We really only have an interim CEO and interim Chairman with their full time replacements several months away from taking their roles full time. It's hard to see them making any changes until they're in place. Not an ideal situation.
  17. I've had high hopes for Verral, rucks/ talls can take time to develop. Nice to see he's coming along. He should take preference over the other players in a similar position to keep on the list.
  18. Our goal kicking accuracy has never been great, but we have certainly dropped off this season with an league low. Interesting that maybe a percentage or two higher and our season may have been well and truly still alive.
  19. I think this has been happening for long enough to say that it is the coaching and it is our game plan. Bomb it in long has been our hallmark. It's the coach. It's his game plan and it hasn't changed.
  20. I'm happy we're winning, but I'm still not convinced. Seems like we've just found a different way to waste inside 50s. They say that to be a good game plan it needs to hold up in finals. To me it just looks like Ross Lyons St Kilda and Fremantle teams where they won a majority or the game a majority of the time but never made enough scoreboard pressure to withstand the minority game when the pendulum swung the other way. The previous game plan never looked far away, it was the forward line and forward entries that let us down. Call me the pessimist but I don't see that much has changed.
  21. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit" Will Durant. Our forward craft is amateurish and has been for some time. Habits and or coaching, take your pick, one and the same.
  22. Jake played, did okay. I'm sure we'll see him in the senior side next week.
  23. 1.4 in the second quarter and 0.8 in the third for a grand total of 1.12 for a half. Maybe someone can convince Fev that we're the next basket case that need him for a game. I think he'd perform better than most in our forward line.
  24. Geebus! They're even struggling to kick behinds.
