  3. Can’t wait to see how the boys go. I might be alone in this but I do think these match sim games have meaning and purpose but others don’t take them too seriously. Maybe I’m just a die hard and care too much about our dees 😂
  4. I’ll post on here since it’s Kane Cornes thread. His breakfast show with David king Fireball on SEN will have Jake Melkshem on tomorrow morning if anyone was interested 😊
  5. Yes I asked this question and also added about the team photo in a different thread but was just wanting to know when it was officially announced since I’ve seen other teams announce and haven’t seen ours announced yet 😊

  19. WESTERN Bulldogs midfielder James Harmes has retired, with the former Demon stepping away from the game. AFL.com.au can reveal Harmes has called an end to his AFL career, having been in discussions with the Dogs in recent weeks. He informed teammates of the decision on Tuesday and leaves after 174 games at the top level. It comes after a challenging period for the 2021 Melbourne premiership player, with Harmes not returning to the Bulldogs' pre-season after their Christmas break due to personal reasons and missing their camp in Queensland last week. It leaves the Dogs with a vacant list spot that they will be able to trial players with until the March 2 deadline for the pre-season supplemental period. Ex-Roo in line to earn another AFL chance as 16 players continue trials The 30-year-old Harmes had this season remaining on the three-year deal he signed when he joined the Western Bulldogs from Melbourne at the end of the 2023 season. He played nine games in 2024 and 13 in 2025 under Luke Beveridge, having played 152 games for the Demons. Harmes was a rookie list success story for Melbourne, joining the club after being overlooked in the 2013 national draft. In his third season he became a regular under former Dees coach Paul Roos, before maintaining a spot under Simon Goodwin with his hard edge in the midfield and ability to go forward and kick a goal. Harmes played 18 games in the Dees' 2021 premiership campaign, including their thumping win over the Western Bulldogs at the Optus Stadium Grand Final. 20. Anyone know where the MFC campaign video is for 2026? I saw on news Zander mentioned it and it was the cheeky pickets and broden Kelly. Anyone know where to find it?
  21. Jack Viney
  22. FROM MFC WEBSITE A running bomb from 50 rounded out his afternoon as the 20-year-old looks to cement a place in the guts after finishing 2025 in the middle. Skipper Max Gawn returned to match play after a stint on the sidelines with a finger fracture, proving his fitness for next Saturday’s AFL State of Origin. New Demon Max Heath took it right up to the eight-time All Australian, using his large frame to great effect in and around the stoppages. Brody Mihocek made his first match simulation appearance after overcoming a toe injury dating back to last year’s finals series with the Magpies. The veteran forward paired well with Jacob van Rooyen ahead of the ball, providing a target down the line and kicking two goals across three terms of action. The 22-year-old van Rooyen was everywhere as he continued his strong pre-season campaign, looking mobile and athletic as he presented again and again. The midfield battle was a juicy one as Windsor, Langford, Steele, Culley, Rivers, Sparrow and Tholstrup locked horns, rotating between blue and white sides each term. Trent Rivers showcased his ability to be a damaging playmaker through the middle, pouncing on back half turnovers to kick three majors. Langford and Steele were busy as they racked up the football on the inside. Daniel Turner looked the goods down back, taking a number of intercept grabs alongside Blake Howes who also turned in an impressive performance. Bayley Fritsch (four goals) was the top goalscorer for the afternoon, with his clinical finishing around goals always threatening. Harry Sharp was another Demon to return to the fray after suffering a hamstring injury late last year, using his pace to get free and put the finishing touches on some highlight plays. First-year draftee Tom Matthews also got his first taste of the action after arriving at the club with a meniscus injury last year. The zippy small forward showed run and carry and managed to finish the three terms with a goal on the board. Ed Langdon ran hard on the wings, using his trademark engine to push from goalsquare to goalsquare and find himself out the back of the play for two goals. Ricky Mentha, Kysaiah and Latrelle Pickett were all absent from training as they visit Alice Springs on a club community trip. Total Goals Fritsch 4, Rivers 3, van Rooyen, Chandler, Langford, Mihocek, Langdon 2, Mathews, Gawn, Windsor YoPRO is feeding the Dees' pre-season progress.
